Waterfront vacation rentals in Zanzibar Archipelago

the apartment was clean with beautiful surroundings. Odette is super friendly and responded quick to any of my questions. it was worth the price, although we didn't have free wifi as the it shows that here, however, I would say that this apartment is even more beautiful than what is showing in the pictures here, the pictures doesn't do it justice. I stayed for 10 days and it felt like home. would definitely book the place again whenever I'm visiting Fumba again.

Stefania's apartment is really something special in a quirky kind of way. The decor is colorful, cozy and charming. And best of all: It's in the middle of Stone Town. You can easily and safely walk everywhere in town from the apartment. As you are staying in the middle of a bustling city, you will hear some street noice now and again, but it's certainly nothing to worry about. Stefania and her assistant Rama are very helpful and communication is easy. I was arriving in the middle of the night because my Air Tanzania flight from Dar was delayed for 7 hours. At 3.30 in the morning I was picked up in Stone Town by Rama who showed the way to the apartment and even carried my heavy suitcase up some steep stairs. In the apartment, Stefania was ready to welcome me and give me some initial instructions. My wife wife arrived to Zanzibar later the same morning and with Stefanias's apartment as a starting point, we had a couple of nice and interesting days i Stone Town.

I had a pleasant time staying at Judith's place, located in Fumba Town. It was neat and the environment was Serene. Fumba Town, some 20mins drive away from Stone Town, is the place to be if you love a peaceful, calm neighborhood with a swimming pool and a sea-facing bar. The balcony view is breathtaking. Generally, it's good value for money. Did I forget to mention that Judith communicates well?

Spacious, upscale accommodation with air conditioning (rare here), 50 m from the beautiful, heavenly white sand beach. Tasty, quality and very generous breakfasts. Impeccable restaurant hygiene with generous, homemade portions. European owner Edwelina, very professional, dynamic and who checks EVERYTHING herself ! This is the first time in 35 trips to similar countries that I have given such good reviews, and I know that it takes a lot of personal investment for such a result, especially in Africa! Brenda and Ire's place is a true home, not an apartment that is only rented out. Lots of quirky decor, very colourful, we loved it (family with two teenage daughters). The girls could just walk around by themselves in town, it is all very friendly. Comfy beds and shower. The rooms were a bit hot in January, but manageable with the extra fans provided. Ire, Omar and Salum were very helpful and kind. Brenda wasn't around, but provided timely and extensive communication ahead of our stay. We have been coming to Stone town since 1994; and even with the mass tourism now firmly established on Unguja, Stone town somehow manages to keep its own spirit and this place reflects that spirit. Great stay, we were very happy to come here.

Our 5 day stay at Zuhura’s Airbnb was outstanding! From the start, Zuhura was incredibly kind, friendly, and always quick to respond to any questions. The place itself was immaculate and wonderful. It’s central location was perfect, putting us within easy walking distance of many beautiful spots, malls and restaurants making the area convenient and enjoyable. We come from a small beach town in California and although we've travelled and lived in many tropical locales we found the north coast of Zanzibar to be very unique in every way. This was a legit adventure full of culture. We rented a car and found that very few other travelers had done so as most take shuttles and taxis. I like the adventure of driving on the other side of the road from the other side of the car and it's balls out so I enjoyed that. We got pulled over by cops 5 times who tried to milk us for money but we were'nt having it so that was a fun game to play with them in its own way too. This place is not for the faint of heart so if you don't want adventure and intrigue go somewhere else. We did a lot while we were there for 2 weeks. We went swimming with Dolphins twice which was the highlight. We drove to the Rock Restaurant a couple hours away. We ate delicious food both at Anna's place and mainly at MJ's in town. Jacob was a huge asset and such a cool guy. Hakuna Matata

The beach house is simply fantastically located and right on the beach in a very nice garden. You feel like you're in paradise there! We will be happy to come back

We had a very enjoyable week in this rustic and peaceful retreat. Eating meals served beach side by the chef was a highlight. The staff is very friendly, trustworthy and responsive. Umari cooked fantastic meals for us every day and Ali arranged all our transportation as well as some truly memorable excursions. The sunset kayak trip through the mangrove forest, guided tour of Stone Town, and dolphin excursions are all once in a lifetime experiences and strongly recommended. The beach directly in front of the house is all yours, except for some happy local kids enjoying the water - there are no other tourists. If you want an authentic experience away from the sounds of modern life and tourist crowds, this is the place for you!

Staying by the beach is magical! The terrace is super cozy. Inside it is a bit dark but all the more reason to spend time on the terrace.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ingrid's place. The ability to walk out directly to the beach was incredible - as well as the night bed! It was very clean and the flexible check-in worked out very well for us as we were running a little late. Overall, great stay and well worth it.

Come to Embedodo Beachhouse and you will feel like you are in paradise. We had spent 3 great days right by the beach. The amenities were ok. Sometimes the power went out, but you have to expect it everywhere.... There was nothing wrong with it either. You should apply mosquito repellent in the evening if you want to sit on the porch From there we did not want to go into the house in the evening because it was very pleasant from the temperatures and the sea noise gave you an extra kick. Anytime again!!

I had an incredible experience staying at Rashid’s place in Fumba Town. The property is beautifully designed, clean, and very comfortable, for a relaxing stay. Rashid was an outstanding host, always responsive, friendly, and ready to assist with any requests. He also provided great local tips that made my trip even more enjoyable. The place is very spacious, and the room I stayed in had a balcony with a view of the port. It was beautiful to watch the sunset from there. The place is decent and clean. The host was very attentive to everything. I truly regret only staying for one night... Stone Town is very lovely and deserves more days. Grateful!

The staff was the best part of the stay. They were amazing, especially Dan. The property is next to the beach and in the middle of a village. Seeing the African culture and way of living mixed with paradisiac views…was riveting. Several descent restaurants in the area as well. Will definitely book again.

It was our honeymoon and we could not have chosen better. It was simply amazing place. The place is more like a dream place super clean, huge and modernly furnished and the view was lovely. I believe it was way better than the photos.The hosts is super friendly, welcoming and very responsive and the booklet she shared with us had all the information throughout our honeymoon. Last but not least, the cleaning service offered made our trip way easier and more smooth.I highly recommend thsi place for any honeymooners and all trips sooo private, soooo luxurious and every small detail is amazing. Thank you for such a great place.
