Comfortable little cottage near the center of Iisalmi. In the barrel sauna and good steam.

We only stayed at Ilari’s place for one night, on our way to Lapland. But it was great! Wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely met our needs. Was close to Iisalmi, where we popped over for dinner. We watched some Olympics on the huuuge tv. Took a quick spin on the lake in the rowboat. And ate some currants from the cultivated bushes. Definitely recommend staying at Ilari’s if you are in the neighborhood!

Excellent listing, would have stayed longer. Wood sauna 🧡 Maybe the only area for improvement would be a more modern TV that could be connected to your own devices, use to listen to music, or use to watch streaming. Otherwise no complaints about anything 🤗

Great rental! Despite the -37-degree outdoor temperature, the chalet remains very comfortable, warm and cozy! Beautiful sauna and beautiful lake and forest views! Hoping to return someday! Thank you so much, kiitos.

Mauno’s place was idyllic. Just as the photos and description but even better in our opinion. The Mökki is directly by the lake with swimming from the jetty or the small beach. The Sauna was lovely, with a view of the lake. Beds were comfy, the kitchen has everything you need. We picked berries in the forest close by. Perfect for families. It’s been our children’s favourite holiday. Mauno and his wife made us feel very welcome when we arrived and really respect your privacy. We would love to come back one day.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay with Erja and Marku! They are not only wonderful hosts but also genuinely kind and welcoming people. The cottage is nestled in a peaceful and picturesque location, making it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The cottage itself was incredibly cozy, and having a sauna was such a delightful addition - it made our stay even more special. Erja and Marku were always helpful and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. One highlight of our visit was the tour of their farm. It was both absolutely insightful and enjoyable, giving us a glimpse into their lifestyle and connection with nature. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be coming back. Thank you, Erja and Marku, for making our stay so memorable!

We booked the cabin for a stopover on the way to the North Cape in January. In advance, we were informed that there is underfloor heating, but it can't really heat up the cabin, and there is only one outside toilet. Since this was no problem for us, we still arrived and it was definitely worth it. Equipped with sleeping bags, it was also cuddly and pleasant for 3 people in winter. The view of the frozen lake with sunrise was also worth the overnight stay. Even though I think the cabin is more designed for summer, it is also worth a visit in winter and perfect for an overnight stay

My stay was great! Perfect view, the sauna was cool and the cottage is good. The hosts are reactive if you need anything. I recommend 100%

Nice and clean cottage on the river of a lake, with a beautiful view from the porch. Everything was great, nice spots for swimming nearby. I would just suggest to improve the instructions for the waste sorting in English.
