Vacation rentals with lake access in Yates County

The home was just as we had hoped. It was incredibly clean with instructions throughout the house that we never had to wonder. Due to the water not being like home, there were helpful notes placed in the house. The beds were incredibly comfortable to! It is located between so many towns that hosted a ton of things to do and only a short walk to Lake Seneca! The home owners came over for a meet and greet and were the nicest people! They allowed my kids to see the horses, buggies and gave us their favorite suggestions to the surrounding area. 5 stars isn't enough for the warmth we felt staying here! 🥰

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Perfect location - just a short drive to Geneva, Watkins Glen, Penn Yan and Seneca Falls. Lots of breweries and wineries and great restaurants! The cottage was well furnished and spacious. Large refrigerator and brand new stove. We loved the bed! I am a soft bed fan and most places have hard mattresses. Our grand daughter loved the kayak. We enjoyed cooking dinners on the gas grill and relaxing by the fire after dark. There was almost no other neighbors there for our stay so it was quiet and peaceful most of the time. We DID hear the Naval Research station down the road early in the morning but that didn’t last long. Very nice dock. I enjoyed sitting out there in the mornings with a cup of tea/coffee. Bathroom/shower is tiny and a bit cramped but I understand you have to deal with the architecture of what you have All in all we loved it would stay here again!

The house was absolutely beautiful with an even more beautiful view, the kayaks and paddle boards were easily accessible and were a ton of fun on the lake, Mary was a great host. We had some weather related incidents and she responded within minutes. The only negative thing I could say is, we should’ve booked it for longer, we didn’t want to leave. It was very fun weekend!

A beautiful and peaceful home on the east side of the bluff. The home was updated and easily accommodated 4 adults 3 children and 2 dogs. Wrens nest had a beautiful view of the lake and dock access to the lake. George was very responsive anytime I had a question and accommodated a few things that I had asked for. It was a great experience for my family and I and will definitely be back in the future.

We loved our stay at Blackbird Cottage. It felt like home from the moment we walked in the door. It is a great space to kick back and relax. My wife was very excited to find a pamphlet in their suggestion binder for a local farm that provided us a fun day of horseback riding and pumpkin picking with donkeys. Overall, we had a great time and would return to the cottage.

This rental home is top shelf. It is exceptionally clean, neat and tidy, and while decorated tastefully, there is no clutter which might otherwise get damaged or interfere with people there temporarily. New carpeting (at least it looked new to us) with an exceptionally thick pad underneath. Comfortable furniture throughout this great home makes having breakfast or reading your favorite book a pleasure. Nice weather, move out onto the fantastic deck and have a seat at the outdoor table, or relax in one of the many chairs our hosts have purchased for comfort and convenience. Nice morning? Take your coffee out to the dock and plant yourself in a chair out on the end and enjoy God's creation. This home has a sturdy new dock with several places to tie up a boat. The picture of the dock in the listing shows a boat hoist, but that was not there during our visit and made tying up our pontoon boat great with the collapsable cleats on the dock. Way more to say, but no room to express it

I used to live in Hammondsport but now am in TX. I have stayed in many Keuka lake houses over the years and this is my favorite so far. Spacious, beautiful views, relaxing, and wonderful! Thanks for a great stay at my favorite lake!

This place was absolutely perfect. the location was close to the lake, resulting in beautiful views. Debora was responsive and accommodating in the most amazing ways; I don't think I've had a host before that was willing to go the extra mile to make the stay as lovely as Debora. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

Amazing place to stay in Hammondsport Village. Extremely clean, comfy and fresh in spite of located in a historic house. Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, nice setup in the rooms. 2-minutes walking distance to the Keuka Lake and the village downtown with lots of restaurants, cafes and shops. Very close to numerous local wineries/vineyards, breweries, distilleries, museums, parks and other attractions. The host was friendly and communicated well. Highly recommend this place for anyone staying in Hammondsport! I will make sure to book it for my next visit as well.

Everything was EXTREMELY clean and well-maintained. The location was great and we were able to leave our fishing kayaks by the dock, which saved us a lot of extra hauling. Super friendly neighborhood and excellent hosts.

This place was super clean and quiet area just off the lake. It was a bit further from things than we originally realized. It was our first time in the Finger Lakes and everything is a bit of a drive. Other than that, this place was very clean and homey.

We had a great weekend getaway in downtown Geneva. Jason and Luisa were perfect hosts and their place was conveniently located close to the lake, restaurants and shops. It was easy to get to and very comfortable, clean and will equipped for our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Seth’s place was a 1000% worth it. It landed up being one of the best things in our trip and the place was so amazing decorated. Seth and Annie were super responsive and were very warm! I loved all the recommendations Seth gave us and we actually listened to his recommendations and visited all the cafes and hikes. I definitely know that I’m going back at Seth’s and Annie’s place in the winter! ❤️

We had a great stay in Geneva, right on the water. We stayed in the cottage property and luckily for most of our stay, there was no other guests in the main house. With that, we felt more comfortable using the shared deck and game room. The cottage was perfect for our stay, very local to downtown Geneva easy to get to other wineries, breweries, hikes along Seneca Lake. Although it rained most of our trip, so we didn't get to use the kayaks, but we were able to enjoy a night outside with the firepit by the water (make sure to bring your own wood / lighter to get this started!) The game room was also super fun and a nice feature! Overall, we had a great stay and no complaints! Would recommend for a couple looking for a nice stay on the water.

Beautiful location right on Cayuga Lake. Peaceful, quiet, and very comfortable. The hosts were very responsive and provided a lot of information on the local area. We enjoyed our stay very much!

We had a great stay here! David was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The place was beautiful and very well taken care of. The lake front location was beautiful! The photos don't do it justice. We all really enoyed sitting on the porch and the dock enjoying the spectacular views! The home was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Hope to go back again!

Very clean, beautiful home. Perfect weekend getaway. Loved bringing our little fur baby. Jessie has EVERYTHING you could possibly need in the home! EVERYTHING!! Will definitely stay with her in the future. Short drive to many wineries & breweries. We enjoyed the little bar/restaurant at the bottom of the hill. Walked there every night with our dog for a friendly end to a busy day. Highly recommend!!!

Wow - what a fantastic lakeside retreat! There must be 6 different places to sit/gather outside - the fire table was especially nice for sipping some Riesling on a chilly night. Well equipped kitchen, and lots of amenities (including kayaks if so inclined). Very quiet surroundings (we were there during the week-end, too), but you have to watch out for the seagulls - they like to hang out on the deck. Great location is within 1/2 hour of many excellent wineries and restaurants. Would definitely return here the next time we are in FLX!

Adrienne was a great. Very responsive, and helpful with whatever questions you have. The view was gorgeous and loved the dock with table area. Great place to hang out while the kids swim and play in water. Also looked beautiful lit up at night with the lights. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful home right on the lake. The weather was a bit cold and rainy while we were there so we didn't use the outside space as much as planned, but the spacious living room and dining room were perfect for our 8-person group plus a 7 month old! Tons of space to spread out, play games, read, and play with baby. There were mega blocks, a play mat, a high chair, a changing table, a crib, and everything we could need for our baby. The hot tub was also fantastic for the colder days. We used the firepit as well and there were plenty of Adirondack chairs for our group our there. Two of our cars are electric, so the charger was a big plus! This is a wonderful find and we would love to book again later in the summer! Perfect for the whole family. We cooked a few time while here, and the kitchen had the basics like toaster, cooking utensils, pans, knives, etc. Lots of cups and glasses for making drinks, too.

The cottage was lovely, clean, and cozy. It was well equipped with everything you'd need in terms of kitchen utensils and shower supplies. The only thing I would mention that I didn't see in the listing or any other reviews is that while the cottage is one level (except for the few stairs on the dock), there are about 25-30 steps from the street level to even get to the house. Once you park, (across the street from the mailbox- this was also a little unclear at first, but Garrett was quick to answer questions) you will have to walk down those steps to get inside the house. It wasn't a problem for us, but if someone has mobility troubles, it's important to know before you go.
