NO four-wheel drive is needed to get to the chalet EXCEPT possibly in the winter months. The mountain roads are curvy and the subdivision is steep in parts but ALL the roads are paved and well maintained. Dog accepted w/ prior approval (fee applies).

Our trails & woods have been ravaged with 100's of trees down. Many trails are still not cleared. Our 1.5 mile upper ridge trail loop and one river trail are now open. Pastures and fields are mostly cleared and all areas around the cottage are completely cleared with amazing long range views of fields and mountains.

This tiny house was perfect for a peaceful escape. It has amazing views from the front porch and would be amazing to return when we could enjoy the outside space. (When it's not too wet). The house had everything you would need, it was clean and tidy and looked better than the photos. I would highly recommend staying here if you want to get away from the city, like us. A nice little souvenir to remind us of our trip was a lovely addition.

Marys place is nothing less than magical. The open yard was perfect for the kids to play in all day. We spent countless hours swimming in the private creek with our kids and pup. My husband and I took our evenings to do a night swim then warm off in the sauna before watching the stars by the fire. The sounds of crickets put us to bed ( in the most comfortable beds & linens I’ve ever slept in! ) and the birds chirping woke us up! The house was clutter free, cozy and clean with fun indoor and outdoor games tucked away and great reading on the shelves. The neighborhood felt safe and so friendly. We thought we’d spend more time in Asheville but barnardsville and weaverville ( 15 min drive ) had everything we needed for good food and incredible nature. As for our host, she was so friendly and responsive. You can tell she pours her love into this house and takes care of her guests like family. All in all, it was the perfect family vacation and we hope to return soon!

We had an amazing visit for our anniversary. The cabin was perfect for us - spacious but cozy, and very private! It was a difficult driveway to ascend after rain, so we had to park at the lower part of the drive, but it was not bad for us. The beds weren't the most comfortable, but the rest of the home more than made up for a little sore back! We would return in a heartbeat.

I thoroughly enjoyed this little house. It sits in a quiet area close to downtown Burnsville's main square, which has restaurants and a coffee shop. The house is comfortable and cozy with everything I needed. It's very private. I saw deer in the backyard and enjoyed coffee on the porch listening to the birds in the morning. The house includes a bedroom with a queen bed and a cute little loft with extra beds that would be great for children.

Asheville's luxury treehouse!

We stayed at this treehouse for a two nights. It’s such a unique experience and the treehouse had everything we needed. I think upon on arrival there was a storm that passed through because leaves and branches everywhere, but we were able to get it cleared off the porch to enjoy being outside. Because of the rain the driveway was slippery and it was steeper than expected. The hike from the car to the tree house was decent, I wish I knew about the hike because our parents with bad knees were having issues. Overall we loved our experience and Eva was great! The house was beautiful and just being able to enjoy the space was relaxing.

Thalia’s place was a great place to unwind and reset! The hiking trails on the property were all labeled well and we ran into quite a few deer. The firepit was great and the outhouse was clean! We had a GREAT time disconnecting from the outside world. If it’s available, we highly recommend booking!

Wonderful place for relaxation! James’s place is wonderfully secluded but close to town. It was easy to find even though it’s “off the beaten path” even though we arrived after dark. It has a wonderful porch and fire pit which we unfortunately were unable to enjoy because of the cold and the wind. James is a great host and very responsive. We’ll be back again to enjoy that porch!

High quality, 100% cotton linens which are hard to find. I’ve grown accustomed to carry my own when I travel now and I didn’t have to change the sheets upon arrival! Cosy and lovely location. We didn’t walk to DT Burnsville because it was so cold, but lots of locals walking dogs etc. I’m in love with Burnsville NC and will be returning regularly. This place feels like home.
