Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Woolgoolga

Great place to stay for the family, well thought-out space. Easy walking distance to the water and main street.

This was our fourth stay at Misty River Lodge and won’t be our last. My family, including our little Jack Russell Terrier, loves Helen and Craig’s place. I especially love seeing how the gardens have evolved. We enjoy visiting the beaches up and down the coast — Scotts Head is a favourite — and we love to find new places to eat. Coffs Harbour is only a 45 minute drive north and South West Rocks is just 30 minutes south, so it’s a really central location and close to the highway but so quiet and peaceful. The bird song is relaxing and if you’re an early riser, you might even see the local swamp wallaby down near the creek. We were treated to fresh quail eggs, deliciously sweet tomatoes and tasty vegetables from the garden. As Helen said when we arrived… “Welcome home!” … because it does feel like a home away from home.

The Good: - Beautiful location with horses, ducks and other birds roaming freely - Little dam with canoes and rowing boat - 10 min drive to Coffs Harbour - Straight off the highway to perfect for a stopover on a long drive - Cute cabin with everything you need including hot powerful shower, comfy bed, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, air con - Bec is really friendly and happy to answer and questions/ help with anything else you might need The downside: - There’s quite a bit of road noise so not 100% peaceful, didn’t bother us enough that we couldn’t sleep though - The toilet is an eco toilet so has a chemical smell that can’t be helped. It didn’t bother us too much, just kept the bathroom door closed and window open - We booked the night before we arrived. We arrived at 2.30pm the next day and the cabin wasn’t ready. Bec was cleaning it so we left and came back. Not the end of the world but would have been frustrating if we’d had a long drive. - We had no check in instructions

It is a lovely place and very country-side life style. My family had a nice holiday stay in this place, and our dog also loved the open space and fresh air around. The owner is very friendly and quickly responding to the question and phone call. Although the weather was pretty wet when we arrived, we did enjoy the time staying Brad's place and would like to come back in the future.

Amazing place, stones throw from the beach and calm inlet for kids to swim. We will be back. Cant recommened the location, house and host enough.

We had a truly lovely time in this quiet and beautiful location. The surroundings were stunning, and it had everything we needed. Given that it was Christmas, it was a very thoughtful gesture from Karen to provide a Christmas tree and festive decorations, as we didn’t have room to bring our own. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials for cooking our meals, plus many thoughtful touches that made us feel completely at home.

The house was exactly as described. If the simple things are what you value, and you don't need a TV that takes up a whole wall, then this is the place. Marianne is a clear and helpful communicator, and clearly does not have a soft spot for Ikea.

Great place in great location. Chilled vibes and easy access to beach and Sawtell village. Jiya was a great host.

This is a fantastic studio with an incredible blend of retro and industrial touches. It also boasts a full sized kitchen except for the mini fridge. It also has a great selection of DVDs to pick from that we couldnt help but to contribute to, to help fill out the collection even more. The studio is 5 minute walk from the main street so its a quiet location while remaining close to the centre of town. Quite possibly the perfect location for staying in Bellingen. Highly recommend

Shannon our host was extremely welcoming and approachable. Studio was extremely clean with Smeg Appliances, added bonuses, coffee pods, tea, hot chocolate, milk. Shannon provided lovely gifts ., we felt like we were staying at a friend’s house. Highly recommended. Aanuka Boat House best coffee. Great spot to relax with a cocktail or two.

Daphne was extremely welcoming & helpful, the apartment was spacious & clean, the pool was a bonus with a toddler, the grounds were beautiful & lovely to see some animals and location was perfect as we had family in Urunga.

Such a cute and cozy place to stay for a few day get away. Me and my partner loved it there. Bed is amazing, haven’t had such a good sleep for a while. Unfortunately it was raining non stop, when we visited so couldn’t enjoy the outside area, but it seems amazing. Elisa had left us a little welcome treat which was really nice of her. Would definitely recommend!

Ann and Clive’s home is extremely spacious and very comfortable and clean. They are wonderful hosts and very communicative. The property is surrounded by bushland and is lovely and quiet, the nearby beaches are beautiful. The self contained flat inside their home is well appointed and private. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had the most beautiful stay! The bathroom was really clean and the general layout was just lovely for a couple to enjoy the surroundings. At one with nature and the wildlife. The views are stunning and its walking distance to the centre of Bellingen which was ideal. The hill felt like great exercise too! Would definetly go back!

A delightful place to stay for a few days. Make the most of the drive up and over the mountain by settling in. The stylish bungalow is immaculately appointed, so you can quickly rustle up a gourmet lunch, set the locally made upsourced pallet table and Voila! Wine and Dine! Grab a book and pop the banana chair on 45, kicking back until your fire pit calls the evening of bird calls and distant valley noises. A birdsong in the early morning just means a sleep in and coffee at your leisure. Take your time here!

Absolutely loved this cozy little cabin near Emerald Beach! It’s got everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay — air con, internet, a TV for when you just want to chill, and even a fully equipped kitchen to whip up a quick meal. It’s super close to Look At Me Now Headland, which is perfect for a morning walk or sunset view. The whole vibe of the place is peaceful and homely, and I genuinely love it. Would definitely come back again!

We had a great stay in this little slice of heaven. Nice to stay somewhere like this while doing the long drive from Melbourne to Brisbane. The place was adorable, the bed comfy but my favourite part was the garden!! So wonderful to be able to sit and take in such a lovely garden. I tried some of the chill peppers - careful - they’re hot!

We really enjoyed our stay, a casual idyllic setting quite a way from the hustle and bustle. Our host, Bill loved to stop for a chat when we were out for a walk or enjoying the scenery of the river but never intrusive. Truly relaxing experience being unplugged from technology for a few days!!
