Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Winneshiek County

Dorothea and her school house were a delight! The school house was located in a scenic area only minutes from town and was festively decorated when we arrived. We were greeted by Dorothea herself (a rarity in Airbnb's these days!) and she made sure we had what we needed. She knew our 3-yr old grandson would be there and prepared the coziest spot for him to sleep in and provided lots of toys. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the living/gathering area was spacious and plenty of seating for our family to gather to watch the football game. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed (including treats), but Dorothea still brought treats over for us to share at our Thanksgiving family meal! She was so easy to communicate with - definitely the best hostess we have encountered! We all really enjoyed ourselves there and hope to be back in the future!

Grant's home was a nice, quiet spot in a neighborhood very close to all downtown Decorah has to offer. The home is tidy overall and offers off street parking as well.

Jerry's place was great! Very clean and ordered. Check in and out was easy and seamless. Very peaceful and quiet too. perfect distance from town. Far enough away to feel secluded, but also a quick easy drive into town. would stay there again.

This house was the best we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in quite a few! Everything was immaculate, decorations were so festive, kitchen had lots of dishes and cooking pots, (though we chose not to cook this time as Mabe’s Pizza delivers wonderful pizza to the door.) We will most definitely stay here again and will highly recommend it to friends and family. If you need a lovely house in Decorah book this one!

Beautiful updated, cozy home. Fantastic kitchen and bathrooms. Very clean. Nice location, very peaceful setting in the woods. Many thoughtful touches that made us feel welcomed. House manager even left a nice note and homemade treat upon arrival. We would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommend! This home is so thoughtfully managed and maintained. They've thought of everything! Truly felt like a home away from home. The layout was great. Location fantastic. Beds comfy. Hosts provided many extras that made our vacation with kids so much easier. We stayed over Christmas and the home was beautifully decorated.

Great spot for a girl's weekend. It is walking distance to restaurants and shopping. With bedrooms on all 3 levels there was plenty of room for everyone. The house is clean and well supplied. We had a great stay!

Our group came to Lanesboro for a weekend of biking and stayed at Jake and Ashley’s place. Very spacious home and very comfortable. Plus the location of the home is perfect for enjoying Lanesboro’s restaurants, bars and shops. And it is right next to the bike trail. We loved eating at Juniper which was recommended by the owners. Would highly recommended for groups coming to Lanesboro.

Great stay. Location was quiet. I wish we would’ve gotten to stay in the warmer months. I’m sure the views would’ve been even better and the outside space would be great for that. The inside was clean, newly redone when I stayed (from my untrained eye). The welcome sweets were a nice touch! Paula’s instructions for access, parking and everything else were clear and concise. We were fishing and Paula accommodated our need to clean fish in a space that wouldn’t otherwise been available. She did not have to do that for us, but she did. She picked up when I called to inquire about it too. She’s a super-superhost! Don’t hesitate to book her listings. Highly recommended!

Still smiling, thinking about what a nice stay we had at Michelle's downtown apartment in Elkader. The place is lovely - even prettier and more inviting than the photos indicate. We enjoyed spending a lot of our time just reading and relaxing, and watching the snow fall on the main downtown street. The space is spacious, comfortable, and very nicely decorated. The second floor apartment is above an insurance office, so it was wonderfully quiet, daytime and at night. The rental is right on the main street of Elkader's cute downtown, and only a one-block walk to good coffee, fresh waffles, pastries, and about a dozen neat boutiques and antique shops. We've tucked this listing away as a place we'd like to come back to again.

Jennifer's place is so welcoming, comfortable and clean for the two of us and our dog, Loui. We love staying here, it's so easy to find lovely parks and trails in the area, plus TJ's Pizza is a must do in Clermont. Jennifer is excellent at communications and shares special events happening - she's a fantastic host!

We needed to book a place at the last minute because the other airbnb owner where our family had book changed their policy the week of our trip from pet-friendly to NO PETS. We have a puppy and had to either cancel the trip or find another location. Laurie's place is dog-friendly and adorable! It was a lovely place to stay during our annual family trout fishing trip to NE Iowa in the area northeast of Decorah. Laurie and her husband were delightful and friendly. We will definitely come back!

The accommodations at Daryl and Norma Jean’s are peaceful and the setting is beautiful. The entire space is immaculate, uncluttered, and comfortable. Decorah has several interesting places to visit, and some good restaurants. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This is the second time we have stayed here. We don’t spend a lot of time in the apartment, but it is very comfortable when we do. The bed is very comfortable, too. We will have to come when the weather is nice next to me so that we can check out the trails.

Location was in perfect proximity to TG and downtown Decorah. We were also afforded the ability to allow another couple to crash on the living room floor with their own air mattress. It worked out great! Google maps has not updated so the GPS instructions will not lead you to the destination but it’s easy to find!

The house was spacious and perfect for nine people celebrating Thanksgiving. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen well-stocked. The common space and collection of games made for wonderful family time. The location was great--walkable to Dunning's Springs and hiking trails or downtown, restaurants, and breweries. Sean was responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

We were in town for my son graduation at Luther. Rather than pay the over price hotels in the area, we choose Tami place & it was well worth what we spent. Host family was incredibly welcoming. Made our family feel like we were home. We would for sure choose this home again! We thank them for making this a memorable time.
