Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Windham County

We had a fun and relaxing weekend on the lake in Jason’s beautiful cottage. We had so much fun canoeing and reading our books while looking out at the view of Ashford Lake. We went for walks around the neighborhood and the neighbors were very friendly. The hot tub was great too! Both beds were very comfortable as well. We look forward to coming back in the summer months.

Our stay at Erin's property was absolutely wonderful! The home was immaculately clean and incredibly well-maintained, which made it easy to relax and enjoy from the moment we arrived. The spot on the lake was stunning—perfect for quiet mornings and picturesque sunsets. Erin went above and beyond to have everything set up perfectly for our stay, from thoughtful touches around the home to clear and helpful communication throughout. The kitchen was well-stocked, the beds were comfortable, and the outdoor space was a dream. It’s clear Erin takes great pride in providing an exceptional experience, and it truly showed. This is the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-cared-for getaway on the lake!

The rooms in the house were huge! The bathrooms were clean and spacious. We celebrated Thanksgiving at the Airbnb with family and friends and everyone was excited about the house. Thank you for your hospitality! John and Dill Tatasciore and family

We loved staying at Michael’s beautiful home! Nestled in the woods near a lake, it was the perfect base for our family’s reunion trip. Michael was quick to respond to our questions and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a family gathering at Emma's place (Tranquil Forest Haven). Everyone loved it. The house is architecturally unusual in a good way, with an enormous amount of common area for a 4-bedroom home. The kitchen is large enough for several cooks to be working at once and there are two large and one smaller common areas that flow together. The living/dining room has a cathedral ceiling in the sitting area and a lower, flat ceiling in the dining area. The acoustics were great. Even with multiple conversations going everyone could hear each other without shouting. So many homes and other gathering places have bad acoustics for gatherings, so this was a welcome relief from that problem, especially appreciated by the many people in our family who are older, with hearing loss. We had a nice walk around the nearby town pond, next to the school . It is wooded and tranquil, with geese. (The beach is closed due to bacteria. ) We enjoyed the fire in the wood stove.

Nate and Polly were great hosts. Very happy they don’t use the toxic chemicals of febreze, Gain, Glade, etc throughout their house and linens. Very clean and well supplied. Beautiful spot on the lake. My only thought is it is a bit pricey for the fall/early winter time of year, but I definitely recommend their place.

We came as a group of friends with a baby to stay at Blake and Tracy's house, and we had a great stay. They were very communicative and accommodated all our requests to ensure our stay was excellent. They asked in advance if it would be okay for their child to stay in his room inside the house, and we agreed. We didn’t see him at all during our stay, and it didn’t disturb us in the slightest. The fact that Blake and Tracy live right next door was convenient, as they were readily available for anything we needed, but we never felt their presence. We will definitely come back!

I stayed at Kenneth's house with my mom and my dog, and we had a really wonderful visit! Kenneth was easy to communicate with and coordinate check in. He gave us a tour of the space and we felt very welcome in his home. It's comfortable, large, and has plenty of spaces to hang out. We used the kitchen to cook some meals and appreciated that Kenneth had any kitchen supplies we needed. The property was beautiful! It was big with lots of space to roam around, and it felt quiet and private. There are chickens on the property, and I was worried the roosters might wake us up early but they didn't! They seem to sleep in as late as we did. I kept my dog on a leash to keep her away from the chickens, and it's also worth noting there is another dog on the property-- she's very sweet and wanted to hang out with us in the yard. The location is really convenient to hop on the highway and get to other towns and places nearby. Overall, I recommend it! It's a great spot for a larger group too.

We stayed for one night while visiting Foxwoods Casino to see Jerry Seinfeld, and it was a great experience. Bert gave us such a warm welcome, explaining everything we needed and showing us around the property. The place is absolutely charming and peaceful. In the morning, we enjoyed our coffee at a lovely spot overlooking the creek, surrounded by the soothing sounds of birds and chimes. There are walking trails that we didn’t have enough time to fully explore but would love to next time. The unit was spotless, perfectly sized, and very convenient for my wife and me. We’ll definitely return whenever we visit Foxwoods or Mohegan again!

We had a comfortable and enjoyable our stay at Mary and Frank’s place. It is in Framingham close to everything, and It backs into a woods. Most of the views out the apartment windows are toward these woods. There is also nice walking nearby along a greenway trail. The apartment has everything we needed, particularly a large kitchen and spacious living room/den, two bedrooms. We had a great stay.

We really enjoyed our stay! A short walk through the park to some great restaurants and shopping/nightlife. Felt private and comfortable!

We booked Tyler and Lauren’s place for a wedding we were attending in the area. It was perfect for our needs and close to the wedding venue. Their place was clean and comfortable and we took advantage of their outdoor fire pit area, including the s’more fixings they left for us. They have a lovely yard and Lauren was incredibly friendly and responsive with all of our questions and concerns. I would absolutely stay there again if visiting RI.

We thoroughly enjoyed the clean and comfortable accommodations, and Michael was proactive and responsive when communicating. Instructions were very clear and it was very nice. The only quirky thing was that bedroom 3 was upstairs and you had to go outside the locked space into the shared stairwell (with downstairs tenants) to go up to it. The only bathroom is on the main floor, so in order to allow those upstairs to be able to quickly and easily access the bathroom at night we decided not to lock the kitchen/back entrance leaving it unsecured overnight. If the door with lock to the unit could be repositioned so the upstairs bedroom was behind the lock, that would give peace of mind and easy bathroom access at night… Will consider staying again. On the whole we enjoyed ourselves, and the AC stood up to the heat and humidity, yay!

We stayed at the Broody Hen for 2.5 weeks and loved it. The location couldn’t be better! A quiet country-like setting with easy access to paved wooded walking and biking trails yet a quick few minute drive to town. Will & Tiana were fantastic hosts - super welcoming, responsive and very thoughtful with recommendations. The house had all the amenities you’d want with a very comfortable master bed and spacious open kitchen. We will be back!

We loved this Airbnb! It was adorable and was completely outfitted with everything including beach chairs and of course who doesn’t love an outdoor shower. It was in walking distance to 2beaches and some dinner places. It was right on a marsh so watching the egrets, herons and prolific bird life was wonderful. We will be booking again soon for next summer!!

I didnt want to leave this little cabin in the woods. It felt rustic but had all the modern amenities you would expect in a home. From the rocking chairs on the porch to the comfy beds, there is nothing I could complain about, even if I tried. Marilyn gave excellent suggestions of places to eat and local current events. We left with fall apples, bellies full of clam chowder, and gigantic smiles!!! We have already started planning our return!

We really enjoyed such an enchanting stay at Lakeside Landing 😍 The area was so peaceful— the landscape was a memory we won’t forget waking up and going to sleep. The cottage was well stocked from kitchen, to snacks, linens and games. There were farm stands and restaurants not a far drive from the cottage, so it was really such a beautiful balance of having a quiet place to cozy up in with opportunity to go out of the area and find things to do. There were beautiful hiking trails not far away too! We are nature lovers and absolutely loved our stay. We hope to return in the future ☺️

Great find! Hidden cottage away from the road, with lots of space to sit indoors and outdoors. Master bedroom spacious but missing blinds, make sure to bring an eye mask if you want to sleep in! Enjoyed our stay!

This stay was so so so cozy and comfortable! I loved how peaceful the area was. I spent a night for my birthday and departed wishing I had booked a longer stay. I definitely plan to return very soon to get away & enjoy the tranquility I experienced here☺️ thank you guys for being so attentive towards the small details that make this stay so special

We absolutely loved this cabin! It was perfect for our family getaway. The cabin was spacious, clean, and exactly as described. Our family was able to relax, play games, and enjoy each other’s company. At night we also enjoyed Foxwoods which was a short drive. Our family can’t wait to come back!!

My family and I have been guests of Liz and Josh, a couple of times now and every time has been wonderful. This lakefront house is private and peaceful and is perfect for relaxation. Looking forward to staying here again soon!
