We loved our stay here! It’s nestled in the woods, so it is very private, but you’re only a 7 minute drive from Mendocino. The hosts were responsive and friendly, but gave us our space. They were very thoughtful about leaving things for our kids to do. The cabin is adorable and has almost everything you need. The WiFi was not working, but we enjoyed the atmosphere and didn’t come for the internet. The hot water runs out quickly, so if you have more than 2 people, definitely plan to stagger showers (morning and night). The hiking trail was amazing.

Extremely clean house! The linens on the bed were pristine-clean, the bathrooms are the cleanest I’ve ever seen in an airbnb. The beds /pillows were comfortable. There were all necessary kitchen items and appliances to cook and clean. The house is right on the water. My kids caught 2 giant channel catfish (15 lbs each) and at least 10 brown bullhead catfish right off the dock using shad or hotdogs soaked in catfish nectar (sold at the local Walmart). They loved the rod holders on the deck and the giant net provided by the home. Fishing was awesome! We loved the proximity to clear lake using the kayaks. There is a book in the foyer that is helpful for local restaurants. The ping pong and games were fun. The arcade games were awesome too! Overall it was a fun and relaxing stay. We caught more off the deck than spending a whole day renting a boat in clear lake. The binoculars were available if someone needed, but the water fowl came right to the deck and were fun to watch! 10/10 rating!

The location was nice, it was a little hard to find for me because my gps said I arrived and I was down the hill in the middle of the road. But once I was able to find the home, it was really nice. I was greeted by this 95 pound dog that came over from the neighbors. It was a very nice surprise, he was the sweetest boy. I was sad I didn’t have treats for him. The home was exactly like the pictures. The gaming systems were so nostalgic and fun for us. The phone came with Netflix and Apple TV and overall really enjoyable. There were spiderwebs but I’m not sure if that’s just because of the location of the home. We woke up in the morning and found a spider in the bed, although alarming at first, they are harmless. Overall my partner and I loved the place, the proximity to town, and the seclusion.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautiful retreat center, from the well appointed kitchen to the spacious living room with wood burning fireplace to the cedar hot tub!

This place is absolute peace - I plan to come back as many times as I can! Highlights: having coffee on the porch with the horses hanging out next door, playing records, watercolor painting, comfy bed and bedding, super clean, just the best possible 1 person getaway. Spencer is communicative and clearly very experienced with what people need/want in a cottage getaway! Thank you so much Spencer!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. You could see and hear the ocean and it was very nice. Bridgette was very accommodating and friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

This was a wonderful place to have our baby’s first vacation. The area is private, beautiful and felt super safe. The hosts were kind and welcoming, and the studio was spacious and clean. It had everything we needed and matched the description. Also very dog friendly! We loved the secluded feeling of the property while being less than 10 minutes from the town of Cloverdale. Great location. Right by the state park. Walkable to all restaurants and downtown nearby. Super clean place. Very private. The ocean can be seen from the living room. The garden in the backyard is inspiring and calming. Absolutely the best Airbnb I have stayed at. I wish all the airbnbs were like this one. The place looks exactly like the picture, maybe even better in reality. The place is decorated beautifully with rustic charm all throughout. We stayed with our 2 year old and he loved it as well! 5/5. Highly recommend and I would love to stay again if I come back.
