Absolutely amazing. Beautiful view of the beach and surrounding area. We got lucky and saw the northern lights! The place was super cozy. Loved the extra effort the hosts put in to make sure we had everything we needed, which included a dog bed, doggy treats and board games. The Christmas tree and bottle of Prosecco were a much appreciated bonus. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends.

Probably the best Christmas we have had for a while. All the stress taken out of it by the hosts, the house was beautifully decorated for the season, two wrapped presents and a hamper of goodies. We felt thoroughly spoilt! The cabin is exquisite and we would love to come back. It was wonderful for the dogs too, completely fenced in around the cabin so no fears of escapees! We loved everything about it!!

A very well equipped house, within walking distance to shops, takeaways and restaurants. The rooms are of generous proportions and big comfortable beds the house has a lovely warm feel to it and the hot tub was a lovely addition. Anne was very responsive in communication I would not hesitate to recommend or re book.

Stunning location. The ideal get away for peace and quiet. Eimear and Mackie were great hosts and extremely accommodating. Could not fault the lodge, full of thoughtful finishing touches. Will be coming back again in the future. Thanks again. Marc and Gemma

Me and my partner spent Christmas at the cottage this year, with our 3 dogs, it couldn’t have been more perfect! We had absolutely everything we needed, there were games, books, comfy sofas, fast WiFi, towels, shower gel, shampoo & conditioner. Not to mention the folder full of leaflets & info for recommendations for different walks and places to eat. The king bed was so comfortable, the shower was amazing and the kitchen has all the utensils and amenities you’d need. The local area was beautiful, the beach and the loch especially, and the shops at a stones throw distance away was super convenient, we stayed for 3 nights and didn’t need to use our car once while we were there! Overall the cottage was cosy, clean, warm, well thought out and peaceful. We will 100% be booking to stay again! Oh and if you do stay make sure you try the Chinese in the village, it was divine! What an absolute dream of a place to stay. Recently fully renovated and it is simply stunning. Minutes from the center of Wick and just off the NC 500, Drumdry was an ideal base for exploring the far northeastern corner of Scotland. The cottage was situated among beautiful farm fields and our son loved saying hi every morning to the sheep outside. And I can’t say enough how wonderful the owner is. She not only was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived, she also thoughtfully brought us a bunch of toys for our son to play with and feel more at home. I literally don’t think you could ask for a better host. Indeed our whole experience at Drumdry was so lovely it has reset the bar for what a 5 star stay is. I couldn’t recommend a stay here highly enough!

We had the most incredible stay! Pat was the perfect host and the property was so lovely. We felt right at home and fully relaxed our entire stay. The views are amazing, we had some lovely walks and it was the perfect setting for New Year. Would love to come back in the summer! Thanks so much x

This is a gorgeous cottage with so many good points - outside space is stunning and there is a lovely walk down to the beach. The cottage is well resourced and relaxing. Everything you need to prepare food is easy to locate and its very clean and tidy. I found the cottage fresh and modern and it felt like a home. The bathroom was lush and the wee corner ensuite toilet and basin were cute and handy for my mum. Loved it all.

Fabulous, cosy cottage with everything you need for a few days exploring this beautiful part of Scotland. Catherine was very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend a stay.

Perfect cottage in a beautiful location. Deer literally outside on the lane, usually at 8am!...view from the twin bedroom window! beautiful to watch. Good enclosed large garden. Cottage is well loved and much care and attention to detail inside shows this. Hosts are very responsive and friendly to communicate with. They care about their guests. I would not hesitate to recommend this accomodation to anyone.

We recently returned for a 4 night stay at Duncan's place over New Year. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous, warm and cozy and is well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The views out across the water are amazing. Portmahomack village itself was very quiet over the holidays, but we did get out lovely walks every day all with 30 mins drive of the cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again sometime one summer. Duncan was a great host. Thanks again for having us at your lovely home 😊

We absolutely loved it here. Not only is it in a beautiful location perfect if you're like us and like to holiday in nature, away from people! But there were so many special touches like the eggs, fudge, keyring and snacks! Even treats for the dog. It felt really personal and was so clean, we felt like the first ever guests! For our anxious rescue dog, it was really special to see him relax here and the large enclosed garden was a dream for him! It was so worth the 24 hour round trip drive!

We had a great time at Hayley’s cottage. The views were beautiful and the location was ideal for sightseeing. The house was pristine with all the amenities needed. Large front and back garden was a bonus. Hayley was quick to communicate and was an awesome host. Thanks again for having us!

Sandra was welcoming and helpful with weather updates as some poor weather moved in. The house was comfortable, clean, and cozy, with beautiful views. Our 4 year old was thrilled to find a chest full of toys.😁

The 5 of us had a wonderful stay at Park Cottage. It sounded lovely on the listing but actually exceeded our expectations. Cosy, very clean, comfortable, very cute cottage in beautiful surroundings and a short drive to Kirkwall. The bus also stops right outside if needed. Kitchen well stocked with basics and welcoming cookies for our arrival. Very good communication with Ronnie. Thoroughly recommend this cottage.

We can only wholeheartedly recommend Ian and Barbara's place. They are wonderful, warm, and extremely helpful hosts. We have spent many holidays in Scotland, and they rank on top of the list. Actually, having them around from the first hour, we felt like being invited into their family. This is perhaps their greatest give to any guest. Thank you, Ian and Barbara.

Hollytree Cottage as a lovely place to stay in. The cottage is great with plenty of space with 3 bedrooms, a kitchen/dinning area, a bathroom and a living room and is well equipped and only a short walk into the town. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and the little touches such as having dog bowls and treats were very thoughtful. We were visiting family in the area and will definitely be back again.
