Cabin vacation rentals in White Sands

Just had a wonderful get away trip in Cloudcroft. Went searching for a private getaway for a few days in the mountains and came across Nicoles offering. It looked perfect, private, quiet and the location was exactly what we were looking for. What put this offering above the others in the area was the price and the hot AND sauna! Both were highlights of our relaxing trip! The place was homey and well appointed. The spiral staircase to the downstairs bedroom wasn't an issue, but it was a tight fit. All we did to workaround was to just bring what we needed for toiletries, supplies and what we needed for clothes downstairs. We travel with larger suitcases and I would not have attempted to go up and down the stairs with those, very minor adjustment. Everything was clean. Everything worked. The TV could have used a universal remote, you had to change the volume on the TV manually, but we may just not have found the remote. I will absolutely stay there again when in the area!

Great place for hunters. Quiet and peaceful. Close to a lot of public land within the national forest. Very close to the mayhill cafe which served good food. Overall great experience and I will be back next season.

This space was wonderful. Our group consisted of 3 couples and we all had enough space and privacy- each pair had their own bathroom, too. The game room was fun during the chilly evenings- it's in the garage and the space heaters warmed it up quickly. Lots of games available. All of the beds and sitting spaces were really comfy and lots of extra blankets around to cozy up. Just a nice space that fit us all comfortably! One thing to note- we weren't able to use the fireplace because of red flag warnings (understandably)...just a heads up if that was a must on your list. The hot tub was perfect in the evenings to star gaze, and perfect in the mornings to watch the deer walk through the yard. Thanks to the responsive hosts for sharing their space!

We loved our getaway to the mountains in this cabin. It was absolutely perfect. My husband admired all of the wood work included in the cabin. The weather was rainy during our stay, but the cabin was very comfy to stay in and watch movies. The only thing to be prepared for, is to make sure you have all the cooking supplies you need for your stay. The cabin has wonderful appliances, however there was no cooking oil, and limited spices. Thank you for a great stay!

Ivanna's place is beautiful and the perfect location if you are visiting White Sands! It is only a ~30-40 minute drive to the park, ~20 minutes to Alamogordo (nearest larger town with Walmart, etc.) and ~15 minutes from Cloudcroft. We did a large family trip here and it was a great spot for us. Ivanna is VERY responsive and helpful any time there is a question. Most importantly, my partner's uncle passed away a few days before the trip and he was going to have to miss the trip. We had planned this trip for months and it was our first family vacation in years. It was too late to cancel our Airbnb, but when I explained the situation to Ivanna, she offered us a solution that was fair for her and for us. She had absolutely no obligation to do that since the trip was so close, but she understood this was a tragic thing that was out of our control and she wanted to help. That is hard to find. I will always give my business to people that see the human side of things. Thanks Ivanna!

We enjoyed and loved our stay. Donald was very clear with all of the instructions on how to get to the cabin. Information was very helpful and clear. He was very responsive and proactive with questions we had. This is a great place to enjoy time with your love ones.

Has exceeded my expectations. The cabin location is beautiful, we found all kind of details, we felt at home. The peace that surrounds you invites you to return one day and recommend this cabin 100%. The host response was very agile. Thank you!

Who doesn’t love a cabin in the woods? Traditional pine walls, wow! Paola and Damian had the lights on and the cabin was heated when we arrived so we immediately felt cozy and snuggled in. Plus our dog was welcomed! This was the perfect place to explore Cloudcroft. Our hosts had hiking recommendations as well as thoughts on places to visit. They responded within minutes! And it was a good deal in the slightly off season. Highly recommend. And if you do go, lots of wonderful places to eat and drink, for sure; just don’t miss the coffee, smoothie and snacks at High Rollin. A fav.

We enjoyed our stay. The surrounding was beautiful. The cabin was everything they advertised and more. Great host!!!!! Always responded to my emails. Left us a hand written note welcoming us to the cabin. So we would recommend the stay here.

This is a wonderful, private, and remote site with everything you need. Just remember to bring couple items if below are needed for your typical travel: - hair dryer (we didn't see one) - soap, toothpaste, and hair products (to suit your preference)

What an amazing home to stay in! The house was clean and WELL STOCKED with condiments and spices, pots, pans, cooking wear, etc... The view off the back porch is wonderful. Right in the heart of Cloudcroft but at the top of the mountain you feel like you're in the wilderness! Deer frequented the yard and we heard no noises from any of the neighbors or the city. The "bunk house" is separate from the main house. This was not an issue for us as our kids were all teenagers but if you have littles then you need to know, the entrance to the bunkroom is outside and not connected to the main house upstairs. BEWARE if you are traveling during the winter months, or when snow is expected, you need a 4X4 to get back up the mountain. This was our only detriment and not at all a fault of the host. The roads are great, but you need to be realistic when traveling in the mountains in the winter. We will Absolutely be staying here again on our next trip to CC!!!

Susan was amazing. When we messed up the booking, she worked with us to correct our mistake. She was friendly and responsive. The house was perfect for our group. The kids loved the game room and the beautiful area. The house was perfect and the neighborhood was beautiful. We loved every moment here and don’t want to leave! We will definitely rent this place again!

Our family loved our time at Amy's place in Cloudcroft. It was the perfect location for spending time at White Sands National Park. Amy was great to work with, very responsive and helpful. The place was cozy and our kids (ages 9 and 11) loved the loft!

My family and I absolutely loved the cabin and peaceful area. The cabin is comfortable and super cute! We definitely would stay here again in the future. Host was very helpful and quick to respond. We appreciated the stay! 🙏🏼

The cabin was just what our family needed for a peaceful place to stay for spring break while doing day trips nearby. The village of Cloudcroft was cute and had a couple of restaurant options which we enjoyed. The books, games, and toys for families were welcome additions.

We liked the location and the views, some small issues with noise from neighbors, but overall a great pick. Very cute inside, upstairs is pretty much all beds so there's lots of options on which one to choose in the room.

Lisa Marie was an extremely courteous host even proactively messaging me as soon as the house was available ahead of the check-in, even when we didn't not specifically ask for an early check-in. The cabin was nice and clean, and located at a convenient place near the restaurants at Cloud Croft. The notebook of instructions was clear and helpful. The family and I felt at home throughout our stay. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to stay at Cloud Croft.

We love Cloudcroft and our stay was wonderful! Host is super friendly and helpful. We had an Amazon delivery that Matt went out of his way and helped us get at the post office. The cleaning person was still cleaning at checkin. We didn’t mind -we were unloading but I think perhaps we rushed her and missed a few things. But overall place was clean and well-stocked. Heaters kept house at a cozy temperature upstairs and down. Beautiful view from upstairs deck. We loved it.

The cabin is a great size. Plenty of space. The surrounding forest is breathtaking. The neighborhood is quiet. Our host was very attentive. We will definitely return.

The pics Jolie posted are accurate and helpful for getting a feel for the place. The mule deer walking around the house were a delight. The two bull elks in the area were awesome to see. The house was wonderful to stay in. It felt like a home. The bathrooms were very clean. The couch and loveseat were comfortable. The large kitchen table was nice for meals and playing family games. Jolie was very responsive to every text I sent her. We have been coming to Cloudcroft for over 20 years, always staying in hotel/motel rooms. This is the first year we stayed in an Airbnb and we found a jewel of a place our first time! It was a very relaxing 4 night stay. We will definitely book here again. Thank you Jolie for opening up your place for us to stay. We greatly appreciate it and enjoyed the time spent there.
