It would be impossible to be disappointed in this property. It is absolutely waterfront with the most beautiful view. Cross the lawn and you are paddling in the water or going out on the kayaks that were provided. The home is well appointed and well equipped. There was even a treasure trove of toys. Very clean with comfortable beds. Thank you - we loved our stay

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 5/5 If you’re looking for a peaceful, off-the-grid experience, Urs’s place is for you! We had the most wonderful stay, surrounded by beautiful pine and fern-covered mountains. While it is wifi-free, there is still mobile coverage, and Urs has done a wonderful job with the place, with separate cabins for the kitchen (with an optional sofa bed), one for the bedroom/lounge, and one for the bathroom. There is hot running water, electricity and plenty of electrical sockets. We really enjoyed using the fireplace on a cold, rainy day, and the outdoor BBQ to cook our food on the dry days. Urs is a stellar host, who went above and beyond to make our stay as wonderful as it was, offering great suggestions for local hikes and activities, and was almost always on hand if we needed anything. My only suggestion is if you are sensitive to light, bring an eye mask as it gets quite light in the morning. Would give 6/5 if I could!

Anna was amazing! She welcomed us in, was very helpful with recommendations and fun suggestions! My kids loved the banana boat and the beaches were spectacular. We had the best meal of our entire three week vacation at the Blue Lagoon, which we found in Anna’s very informative yellow folder! The house was spotless, beautiful, and Anna thought of everything that you could possibly need and fit it into this tiny home! It was quite amazing to see how everything was set up, and so beautifully done! We were quite comfortable, and while we didn’t do a lot of cooking, if we had stayed a few more days, we would’ve taken advantage of the air fryer. The kids loved the bunkbeds and the loft, and especially the bathrobes! All of the extra little touches really exceeded our expectations and we were very happy with our stay. I can’t say enough nice things about the house or Anna! 10 out of five stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stunning views! Beautiful mana!(energy) The pictures don’t do it justice! Comfortable beds with electric blankets. Spacious, stylish, very well designed & built. High-end linens and furniture. Felt very safe, had everything we needed and pristine CLEAN. Best Air BnB we’ve ever stayed in! Great value! Fabulous, attentive hosts. Thank you, Molly & Noel, we will definitely be back!

Nice big house with lots to do ! Beautiful spot

We arrived after a hard day's travelling .From Manaia we drove up the drive through lush hillside through stunning mountain scenery until we found Kauri Cottage. What unfolded was breathtaking. The gorgeous view down to the estuary, the mountains beyond,the flowering meadow, the islands of the Coromandel coast sat proud on a turquoise sea. It was wow. After soaking all this up we entered the Cottage. Also breathtaking, so immaculate, clean with a full view of the fabulous surroundings.Richard ,the host had thought of everything,flowers on the table,fruit in a bowl,fridge full of things to start us of,loads of good books to read and a veg patch if we wanted a lettuce or tomato. So evident that everything around has being created with pride and passion. Kaura Cottage is not just so lovely a place to stay,it's a piece of paradise, a truly magical place. Tears in our eyes as we savoured our last moments before leaving. A beautiful week, in our hearts forever. Thanks so much Richard

Wow! This location & house is gorgeous, comfortable and perfect. You will not regret spending time here. One note - there is a very well stocked general store 5 minutes from the house, but if you want to stock up more the nearest grocery store is a 40 minute drive. Check out the Church Bistro restaurant. Food there was delicious.
