Remote Ranch Camping on the High Plains (Site #1)

AlexRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Lana's place was perfect; it was just what we needed for a quick overnight stay while traveling through the Panhandle. Lana was very responsive and did a great job describing how to get into the ranch. We arrived after dark and had no problem finding our way after following her instructions. The campsite was great, we felt very safe and secluded. We even had a quick campfire before bed. We didn't have the pleasure of meeting Lana but hope to be back to visit the Farm Store on our next drive through. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an easy and safe place to spend the night!

This was our third Christmas at Luck of the West and I can't say enough about how much we love staying here. With family in Amarillo and Wellington we need a big place where we can all be together and this loft always fits the bill. Very comfortable, clean, high-end appliances, and tons of space. Finally got to meet Bailey in person this time and she is one of the nicest hosts I've ever worked with. We will surely be back again!

Remote Ranch Bunkhouse

HeatherRating, 5 stars3 days ago
I have stayed at the bunkhouse a number of times and it’s a definite go-to spot for my road trips. I sleep so well there. Even with cold temps this time of year, the bunkhouse was cozy, warm and it is well insulated. I loved hearing the wind outside while being warm and cozy in the bed. Lana is a great host and always goes out of her way to make things easy and comfortable. A great unique spot where you can see so many stars at night. Very safe and I highly recommend.

My absolute favorite roadside motel EVER and the best deal on Old Route 66. The place is old but crazy clean, the owners are super nice, and the beds are some of the most comfortable I have slept on. This was my second stay and I’m sure I’ll be back.

Shamrock Country in was a perfect overnight stay. I don’t stay in motels/hotels, so the idea of staying here freaked me out but it was nothing like other motels. The room was spotless and the beds were comfy. They have many awards from travel places such as TripAdvisor. The staff were super friendly. Breakfast was great! I loved the Texas shaped waffle. Honestly, I’d stay again if I’m ever in the area.

The Mansion Guesthouse

Wonderful spot for an overnight on our cross-country drive. It was cozy and welcoming when we arrived. My dog was so happy to stretch her legs with some yard zoomies. The bed was very comfortable, and the location quiet without being very far from the interstate. So much better than staying at a noisy hotel right off the exit!
