From the well-equipped kitchen to the cozy and comfortable bedrooms, every detail was thoughtfully designed to make our stay enjoyable. The location was also perfect, with easy access to D.C. and surrounding areas. The host was responsive and accommodating, making the entire experience seamless. This is a lovely and spacious home in a beautiful setting along the Potomac River. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck with our morning coffee or in the evening, watching the sun set or the deer along the river. Those views were also available in the spacious living room facing the deck. The kitchen was well appointed, which we always appreciate when cooking meals in and the beds and linens were nice and comfortable. There were games available in the closet and my adult kids enjoyed setting up and playing badminton on the back lawn. Sylvia was a wonderful host that communicated clearly and was very helpful. We will look forward to coming back some time in the future.

We had a great visit at Denny’s place! The house is very well equipped, and Denny was super responsive throughout our visit when we had any questions about using some of the amenities. The property is beautiful and very private. Great for small kids as there is a small creek that provides a lot of entertainment! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

We enjoyed our stay at this Harper’s Ferry home. Of all the places we have stayed, we appreciated not needing to pack the basics! Everything was provided and the hosts were very communicative and helpful. The home heated/cooled well, the space was clean and well kept. We hoped for a slightly more private location, but saw numerous deer at all times of day and it was a quiet neighborhood. The bunkbeds are in the basement, down the spiral staircase, with a door to the outside. It was a great space for our slightly older kids. We spent quite a bit of time hanging around the foosball table or reading in the little nook! Thank you for the relaxing stay.

Our crew of seven (+ 2 dogs) loved our time here! This was an experiment of sorts to go somewhere slightly remote with no major travel plans to spend quality time together and see how we could entertain ourselves. For our family and kids' ages (10-15), 3 days would have been perfect, but 4 was probably a little much. We were about fifteen minutes from the nearest retail area, but it included everything we could have ever needed. The little park at the front of the neighborhood was expansive and clean; we walked through the mining camp museum then played family wiffle ball + soccer on the football field before the kids did sand volleyball (my husband and I opted out of the sand lol). We loved we could bring our dogs without having to worry about any cat dander (several of us are allergic). The stairs were too steep for the dogs, so they were naturally contained to the middle floor. Only heads-up is that there were carpenter bees - not harmful, but definitely freaked the kids out.

This is an absolute gem and now one of our favorite Airbnbs! Lindsay’s place immediately felt like home as soon as we walked in. The view was incredible and the setup was so open with plenty of space to spread out and make ourselves comfortable. The house was well equipped with everything we needed to fully enjoy our stay and to be able to cook some meals and keep the place tidy! The hot tub overlooking the mountains was so peaceful after a day out! This Airbnb is in a perfect location to explore the surrounding areas in WV, VA, and MD, especially the recommendations from Lindsay! We were two adults and two children but could have easily fit another couple or small family. Lindsay is very responsive and friendly which made the whole experience seamless and relaxing. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back in the future!!

Very nicely done home. Extremely clean and high quality linens. Really nicely decorated with interesting books and a well equipped kitchen. Great location with a fabulous coffee shop straight behind the house from the kitchen door. The house did not have parking, which was mistakenly advertised when we booked. Otherwise a really excellent high quality/beautiful stay.
