Beser Bay Raja Ampat

Get away from everything when you stay !! Beser bay Homestay has 3 houses . The house with an area of 36 M2 in the shape of a stage has 2 floors built on the water,a little sand beach,overlooking the manggrove forest and rocky mountains. Spacious room with has 2 mattresses (first and second floor). One small mattress, hammock available, lounge chairs are on the porch and Also Jetty access viewing the Sunset.

Methos Homestay - Raja Ampat

Between the mangroves, Methos owns a strip of beach, on which three ‘Water Bungalows’ are located. Each bungalow accommodate two people and is built on stilts in the water. The bungalows are fully equipped with furniture, has a large veranda with sundeck. The bed is completely covered by a king-size mosquito net. On the veranda there is a hammock and a sun-lounger, from where you can watch the sunset.

We really enjoyed our stay at HamuEco- it is so beautiful and everyone looks after you very well ! The food is lovely and the property is incredibly scenic with the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets, particularly from the hammock on your deck ! Our bed was comfortable and we were surprised there were no mosquitos! We rented a scooter and that made transportation to and from the property easy. There is no wifi on the property but we got the Telksomel eSIM card at the airport upon arrival to sorong and we had no problems using our phones using the eSIM card! I would highly recommend this property !!

Be the most honest, so you have expectations accordingly. The place is wonderful. The cabins are all good, what to expect for the remote place where you are. Food we had fish, chicken, vegetables (the paradise of vegetarians probably) there were no rats in the cabanas, but if we saw one in the common area one night. They sell beer and drinks, nothing more. I recommend bringing snacks for an afternoon or just in case you don't like the local food. Halfred is very helpful, but we had a delay on the last day for our boat a waisai, it is understandable because we asked for it for 3.50am and I arrive at 4.30 to see the birds of paradise, but since it was delayed we could only see 1/2, I know that it is not his fault and it is more of the boat, but it was still a pity to have overshadowed the experience due to that stumbling. Nothing from the other world the same, the overall experience was excellent. The bathrooms are old, but it was expected.

Sandy's Guesthouse is simple, although very spacious and everything you need for a stay in Waisai. A hard but comfortable mattress, clean sheets and a clean bathroom. Be aware though that there are no(t a lot of) places in Raja with hot water, so be prepared for a refreshing shower. For us it was perfect to cool down from the outside temperature. What makes this place exceptional though, is Husna herself! She is a bundle of kind and happy energy, accomodating you with everything you can think of. She arranged an amazing trip to the Blue River river for us and transfers to and from all the places we needed to be, almost without having to ask for it ourselves. Apart from the professional part, she's just an amazing person as it is. We will definitely come back if we ever visit Waisai again!

Katembe Private Island - All Inclusive Raja Ampat

I am giving Katembe 5 stars because I had a 5-star experience, but I will be including a lot of FYI's for people considering staying. I think it is just ultimately a better experience if you know what you're getting into. - 4 nights minimum stay -- the listing says you take a 9AM ferry with no further details and really should be more clear. You would leave the resort at 7:30AM to get to the ferry port of Waisai. From Waisai (if you leave on time) it takes another 2 hours to get to Sorong where the airport is. Plan accordingly because the staff did not flag this when I forwarded them my flight info and I did have to book another flight and night in Sorong. - be prepared for nothing ever drying. My katembe towel was never dry after my first time using it, and things get really stinky. Bed sheets are moist/wet/damp the entire time. - If you're ok with that, the island is amazing, the food is fantastic and the people were my absolute fav part of this trip. Amazing boat trips!!!

The stay was fantastic, it's paradise. Keep in mind that it is a wild place, and the bathroom and shower can be improved. Otherwise, the food, activities, and people are fantastic. Highly recommended if you want adventure. The only thing that the home stay is far from the port (2horas sure) and if you have bad weather more. But of course, it's understandable since you're moving to a remote and WONDERFUL area. For the snorkeling it is amazing, you see baby sharks from the terrace of the room. Overall, we are delighted with the experience and treatment received.

We stayed at the Homestay for 4 weeks. The water and sea life is so beautiful, we snorkelled every day, so don’t forget to bring your snorkels! We even saw, wales, dolphins and mantas sitting outside our bungalow. Kalep and his family is friendly and kind and we felt safe at all time in their home. We lived in a bungalow out on the jetty. It’s so relaxing to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. If you have a Telekomsel esim you’ll have reception at some parts of the property. Electricity is on every evening for some hours so make sure to bring battery packs. A good idea is to download google translate your phone and then you can effortlessly communicate with the staff at the Homestay. Kalep can offer different day trips as well and there is a village called Freewen close by where you can go and get some snacks and beer. Thank you Kalep with family for a great stay and thank you for teaching us Indonesian and Puapuan. We will cherish this memory forever ❤️

Pak Alberth is a great host, listing is as described, the room is compact, clean & comfortable with AC & the hot water is really hot. Delicious Indonesian Breakfast is provided, tea & coffee station is available in the common area. Feel right at home & nice atmosphere. You can hear morning prayer call at 4h30 due to proximity to a mosque like everywhere in Indonesia, but we didn't mind. This is a great place for a stopover before you go to Raja Ampat. I would prefer to stay in this homestay rather than in a hotel for the local experience. Great recommendation for the seafood restaurant & you can rent his motorbike for a fee.
