The hot tub was great in the chilly nights, played in the game room a bit, cooked in the kitchen and enjoyed some meals in the dining room. Easy to find, but felt very private. Excellent stay at this property over the New Year's holiday. The house is in a great location on a quiet street and has a beautiful view of the lake. The space was great for our family with two children - plenty of sleeping space / arrangement options and comfortable to relax inside or out. Can easily accommodate a larger family or group without feeling overcrowded, despite the single bathroom. Santino is a great host with quick communication and everything went smoothly. We will definitely be back to this property in our future stays to NJ!

We had a wonderful long weekend! The house was perfect! It was very clean, cozy and we loved the cabin feel inside. We also enjoyed playing pool and air hockey. It is super close to the lake and several delicious restaurants. My kids and dogs also had a great time. Adriana was quick to respond when I had questions. I highly recommend this house!!

I was looking for some quiet after a stressful few months and something of a view. I love the water so I picked this place and it want a far drive from me. I felt at home and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could think of which was great because I really wanted to bake for myself and just do a great self care weekend which I did. Me and my pup got to have some alone time and hang by the water across the street at the gated off little beach. Hung out in the hammock and sat on the boat launch. Exactly what I needed. Definitely coming back !

This place is literally a piece of heaven! During our stay, we had a full frontal of the frozen lake, it was pure magic! Waking up to the beautiful view of the lake was magic. If you are trying to disconnect, relax, reconnect with your loved one, this is your spot! The details in this rental were to die for! From the beautiful kitchen, to the rooms, there is not a single spot in this rental that was overlooked by design!! There is also ample space outside to hang out and grill! It was a beautiful and relaxing winter stay, the host was extremely responsive, even went out his way to grab allergy medicine for me through one of the snowy days.. thank you so much for your kindness! This place is absolutely heaven! I am definitely coming back!

What can you say that hasn't been already said by previous reviewers. John's house in Freeport is a gem. Perfect getway for weekend for our family. We were greeted by a nice bottle of wine and a generous basket of snacks (always a nice touch). The house was spacious and super clean. The beds were extremely comfy and the kitchen was well equipped for anything you may need. So many fun things we really didn't get to take advantage of (Tiki Room, fire pit etc..). But the crowning jewel is the location on the water. If you just want a place to sit and relax as the sun rises or sets (yes you get to see both from the back deck) this is your place. John was a gracious and responsive host. We hope to be back next year.

I was looking for a quiet weekend away from the city and found it in this property. David was kind enough to show me a different property that wasn't booked, a more secluded and private location, which was exactly what I wanted. He made the switch with no trouble, provided farm fresh eggs and a stocked kitchen, etc. This isn't glamping but if you want a private, nature-y retreat with easy access to the Metro North, I highly recommend!

We stayed at this little place right where Chinatown meets the entrance to Little Italy, which was a perfect location for our one night in New York City! Amazing Osso Bucco, and fabulous Aperol spritzes everywhere, with a little park nearby to walk to with our toddler ! This lovely little space (with an elevator!!) was an excellent place to escape the bustle on the streets below. It worked great for our little family.

Very nice accommodation. It takes a good half hour by bus to get to Port Authority terminal. Very clean, clear instructions for check-in even late. Several buses take you to Manhattan, a 7-minute walk away. Cecia explains how to take them. Bonus: a basketball court right next door for kids to let off steam in the evening when they get home if they have any energy left!

Great communication and easy checkin, spotless & stylish! We had a wonderful last minute spring getaway from the city. Compared to other airbnbs around, seemed comparatively good value for money. We cooked meals in the apartment and the kitchen is well appointed for doing so; there is also a keurig and French press.
