We felt very comfortable in the house and had a great week there in October. It is right on a canal in a small, quite newly developed holiday park with modern single-family homes near a marina. Behind the house is its own boat dock. In addition, it is nicely furnished, clean and equipped with every comfort. We really appreciated that there is mosquito repellent on all windows, and that the canoes are at your disposal. We really enjoyed the great view from the living room or from the terrace directly on the canal, especially the sunsets. However, the closest supermarket is not within walking distance. The house has fiber optic and the internet speed / wifi has been great.

The house was full of character but also really well equipped and comfortable. Edwin left a few things in the fridge and on the table and met us on arrival. A charming and thoughtful host. We particularly enjoyed the coffee pod machine that was fully stocked but the other little touches (I won’t reveal the surprises) were welcome and considerate. Nice one. Edwin!

We had a very nice stay in Aleida's space home. Communication went smoothly and the house has all the comforts. We'd love to come back with the family.

A great house with every luxury! Spaces very nice, cozy and spacious so you can sit together with a large club. What is also an advantage is that there are several showers and an extra fridge. Very welcoming with amenities to use the coffee, tea, herbs and sweet toppings. Perfect place, so you can easily explore Leeuwarden on foot. Recommended!

As a group of friends, we greatly enjoyed Sandra's accommodation. The house is clean and cozily furnished and has all the comforts. Sandra is super hospitable and very friendly. She gave us great tips for the surroundings. There is plenty to do and the area is very nice. Highly recommended!

Jaap place was exactly as advertised, cleaned, in a good location and with modern forniture. Jaap was very quick and always available to answer our questions regarding the house and even left cold beers for us to enjoy. I highly recommend his house and I 100% would book it again in the future.

What a beautiful house to spend a vacation! Everything was there, from kitchen attributes to lovely beds to sleep in. A sea of space and tranquility. We enjoyed it!

Great place as advertised. Easy check in and out, directions were clear also on how to get there. There is a grocery store ~7 minutes away and Giethorn is just around the corner. Many outdoors activities to do and choices of restaurants. The apartment and view from the lounge is beautiful. Very peaceful and relaxing. The only issue we had was with the door. The instructions weren’t very clear. What’s missing is, after turning the handle to the right, about 95-100 degrees, you then pull the door, via the handle, towards you so that there is about a 5cm ish gap, and then slide the door open.

We had a lovely stay with Janet and Auke in the back house. It was very homely, felt right at home. A lot of attention was certainly paid to the decor and everything you need is present. We definitely recommend this lovely cottage and would love to come back again!

We really enjoyed our time in Ympkje's apartment! Everything is exactly as it looks in the pictures, very clean and cozy. We felt right at home! Ympkje welcomed us in person and gave us good tips for exploring Friesland. The bicycles were a big plus! The sea is just a short walk away and we enjoyed lots of fresh air. We would gladly stay with Ympkje and her nice family again!

We had a very comfortable short stay at Roger's place. Close to the boat towards Schiermonnikoog. Staying here is highly recommended!

Amazing apartment with great facilities!

We had a great stay, the house is very spacious and cosy and we felt at home straight away, the host is friendly and helpful. We liked the location with three beautiful national parks within short driving distance. Everything was clean, beds were great, we would highly recommend the place.

We felt very comfortable with Baukje. A cute little loft, decorated with a lot of attention to detail and equipped with everything you need for a few relaxing days. The bed was a lot big and was super comfortable. On arrival we were surprised with wine, tea with fresh mint, ginger and lemon. Baukje was very helpful with questions about activities in the area, in general the communication was extremely pleasant. Renting or using the kayak was very straightforward. Thank you so much for letting us spend some lovely days in your cute loft.

This is definitely one of the best Airbnb I’ve ever had. My husband and I really really love it here. We felt like home the moment we step into the house. You got everything you need!! Even it’s winter time, we had a really nice view. You can watch the ship sailing and sunset (depend on the weather). Both Henk and Sietske are very friendly and always making sure we feel comfortable staying there. They even prepared small bites and drinks before we checked in. We will definitely come back if given chance to. Nothing else to say, it is PERFECT!!

Thuis is a place as i remembrer Airbnb in the early days: clean, friendly, personal and no disturbing decoration in the house. We had a great stay with a two year old and a three months old baby.

Great location, great stay with everything you could need.

The apartment is in a great location, directly on the sea. It is very clean and corresponds to the photos. You feel right at home :) The contact with the hostess is also good. She responds immediately and gives helpful, clear answers.

We spent a weekend here with 2 families with adolescents. Both us and adults and youth had a good time! The beds were very good and the sauna was also well appreciated. The arcade was also really great! Shortly recommended!

Jolanda's place was absolutely perfect for my stay in Meppel! The location couldn't have been better—right in the center of everything. It’s only about a 15-minute walk from the train station, but there’s also a bus stop nearby for extra convenience. The apartment is close to grocery stores and parks, making it easy to pick up essentials or enjoy a relaxing stroll. The space itself was cozy and chic, with a boutique-like feel that made it feel extra special. One thing to note (though it didn’t bother me) is that the water closet is separate from the shower, and as expected, there are Dutch stairs, so keep that in mind if stairs are a concern. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and main bedroom was extra cozy. Despite being in the city center, I had plenty of peaceful, quiet moments to relax. Yolanda was an amazing host—attentive, communicative, and always willing to help. I highly recommend staying here.
