Places to stay in Walpole

Beautiful place in a beautiful location. Would have loved to stay a couple more days to explore and walk around the house. Rob was extremely welcoming and was there at checkin and lit the fire for us. Kids loved the trampoline and the puzzles too. Would love to come back another time when we back

The place was a perfect example of a beautiful house in Albany, the wine cellar was an awesome touch with the tasting table set up! We had a really wonderful time here. The kids loved the little nook upstairs and the welcome pack of wine and cheese etc was very welcome as we got in to town a little tired and didn’t want to order in. Breakfast was also fantastic with a selection of amazing local produce left in the fridge for us. Thanks so much Dave and Agnes 🙏

Loved the view from the balcony and main living area! The photos don't do it justice. Very peaceful and relaxing location but still close to the centre of Albany.

We loved staying at Tom and Catherine's, we particularly enjoyed the backyard and toys which our daughter played with. Absolutely loved the restaurant about 100m down the road - Jasper's .

An amazing stay with so much beauty surrounding you! Our surprise was the animals around the accommodation which made it so much fun for us as a family! Standing up and see the mountains and the sheep, alpacas, chickens and turkeys! We can’t wait to come back! Thank you for the good care and the lovely warm welcome and nutritious fresh home made breakfast!

Storytellers Rest was the most beautiful place either of us had ever stayed. Janine’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail were second to none. Both the bedrooms were huge, exquisitely decorated and so comfortable and luxurious. We had such a wonderful stay to celebrate a significant birthday. We enjoyed walking into town for some retail therapy and beautiful walks along the river but mostly we just enjoyed the beauty and peace of the house. The fully equipped kitchen plus all the extras Janine provided meant there was no need to leave the house. If you’re looking for somewhere very special, this is the place. Very hard to leave and we are already plotting when we can return. Thanks Janine ❤️

Great cottage, beautiful place and furniture. Margaret was very responsive. The location is perfect for walking to local cafes and restaurants and ANZAC park. The outdoor shower was hot but left some of us feeling a little exposed.

Jane’s place was perfect for our three night stay in Denmark. It was an easy walk to restaurants and cafes, very quiet and peaceful at night and had what we needed for an evening at home one night. The shower was great and the bed was comfy. We would absolutely recommend staying at Surfmist.

This is a very special place. Susan and Bob were incredible hosts and very accommodating to us and our specific needs. This is the most peaceful holiday we've ever had and yet there was lots to do when we felt like it.
