Vacation rentals in Walker County

Great location! We were able to boat to both Trident and Duncan Bridge Marinas. The views were gorgeous. Very quiet and peaceful. The house was clean and perfect for 6 adults (3 couples). Of note there were only 2.5 baths not 3.5 as listed. The two queen rooms share a Jack n’ Jill bathroom.

Cute little lake cottage with gorgeous views of Smith Lake. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well stocked, and the bathrooms were nice. Overall a very pleasant experience and a delightful weekend away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pictures do not do the home and location justice. It is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. House was so clean and everything was easy to find. The deck overlooking the lake was lovely we felt right at home. Would stay here again if ever coming back to AL!

Jim was so flexible. At first I thought i was going to get there early on friday so I wrote him if I could check in early. He said I could be there at noon. We did not end up leaving texas until friday evening so we arrived around 10 am on saturday. The place looked so amazing I still wanted to stay an extra day anyway, I asked if I could add an extra day to my stay since we missed the friday (of course we meant to pay) and he said we definitely could and since we missed friday we could stay the extra day for free! I intended to pay but he said it was fine! Then he walked my kids and I through the main property. The deck, the boathouse, the lake! Wow!!!! It was so beautiful and peaceful! It was like a scene from a movie. Jim offered up sodas and waters and told us if we needed any we can get some at anytime. Walked us inside the main house and said we could get coffee and overall a great and kind host. While out he was messaging me on the AirBNB app to suggest places to visit! 🙌🏼

I really enjoyed my stay! The house was in a nice quiet location, away from town and was easy to get to. The house was even nicer in person than the listing showed (and pictures in the listing made it look nice). Loved the view from the living room, kitchen, and back porch. I had everything I needed, including, most importantly, a nice comfortable bed. Would definitely recommend this to others visiting the area.

This wasn’t our first stay at the copper penny because we love the location and accommodations so much! Really feels like a home away from home. Katie is such a kind host who is always responsive when needed. We will be back and recommend for a nice peaceful getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our family's stay at Cottages # 1 and # 2. It was beautiful and peaceful. What a gorgeous setting! We were able to access the docks and rented a boat which we kept there overnight. As others have mentioned, there are 130 steps down to the dock from Cottage 1. Cottage 2's path to the other deck had less steps but you also have to walk on a rocky trail. Cottage 2's deck is covered. The only other issue at Cottage 1 was the steeper / gravel driveway, which has also been mentioned in a review. Cottage 2's driveway was level. It was okay for us because we had a truck with 4WD. We parked the sedan further up the hill. We didn't mind the walk to Cottage 1 or between the cottages, but an elderly person might. Otherwise, these 2 cottages were in a picture-perfect setting and we had great time there with our families, babies and dogs! Thank you!

Great stay at this quaint lake cabin. Really enjoyed the TV by the hot tub and the kayaks! Great communication neighborhood and host! I would definitely stay again!

It was a beautiful house with great views. Would love to have been there a couple of more days to enjoy everything.
