Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Waitomo District

OH MY GOODNESS - no detail was overlooked in creating this paradise. The location of the cabin is ideal! You are completely secluded. We went skinny dipping in the crystal clear river, then had a relaxing warm bath in the outdoor tub (twice!)... bath salts and plenty of robes provided! The only sounds you hear are the birds, sheep, and cows. It is close to the Glow Worm Caves; Tunnel Beach; The 3 Sisters Beach; and some beautiful Water Falls. To top it off - the hosts - Brendon and Trudy are the most conscientious and gracious hosts. Ripples Retreat is a MUST stay!! Thank you so very much, Brendon and Trudy, for creating this incredible experience! We are so grateful to have found Ripples Retreat.

My wife and I had an amazing time at the glamping site Cheryl provided. The pictures don’t do it justice. This is one of the most beautiful places we ever stayed. Between the amazing outdoor amenities, views, and wildlife, we couldn’t have asked for a more amazing place to stay. Cheryl was an amazing host and was quick to respond with any request making our stay one of the best out of all of our travels around the world. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay amongst nature with beautiful surroundings while having all the amenities that a home would.

Thank you, Angus, for greeting us and making us feel right at home. We had such a spectacular time at your property enjoying the beautiful setting, your family's farm, and the very comfortable accommodations. To me and my family, this was such a treat (and excursion) from our road trip across your beautiful countryside. Although the other two cabins and its guests were nearby, it felt private and secluded. We didn't get to use the outdoor tub like we wanted to, but we did appreciate the fire pit as it was somewhat windy the night we were there. The songs of birds singing in the morning were fantastic. Loved every minute of our stay.

The location is a remote coastal paradise, Graeme's listing complimented the surrounding perfectly. Having a tea and looking out at the surroundings on the deck in the morning and afternoon was definitely a relaxing highlight of the trip.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! Friends and I stayed for only one night and wish we would have stayed for a week! It is a little difficult to get to but totally worth it. The views are incredible, the place is very comfortable with lots of space and the outdoor space is exceptional. Would definitely stay here again.

We had to stay overnight in Te Kuiti after our car broke down on the way from Taupō to Auckland. Thankfully, we found Sheree’s cottage, and she was incredibly kind and accommodating. Despite a late checkout from her previous guests, she quickly prepared the cottage for us, even leaving fresh milk in the fridge and opening the windows for fresh air. The cottage was perfect—clean, beautifully designed, and fully equipped with everything we needed, from a rice cooker to a coffee machine and quality tableware. The bed was so comfortable, and we even spotted a Rumba vacuum machine, which added to the modern touch. It felt warm and homey, just what we needed during a stressful time. Sheree went above and beyond, giving us extra time to check out the next day while we arranged a tow truck and rental car. Her kindness and support meant so much to us. If you’re visiting Te Kuiti, I highly recommend staying at Sheree’s cottage. Thank you so much Sheree!

Absolutely wonderful stay. The pictures don't do enough justice to how beautiful the place actually is. Very peaceful area. Would definitely be back here again. Emily and Andrew are very helpful and friendly people. 10/10 recommend this place to anyone.

Lovely, comfortable and spacious place to stay. Just off the highway but very quiet. Well equipped kitchen. Highly recommended.
