Vacation rentals in Waitaki River

Our second visit to Sunset Cottage and another wonderful stay. The cottage is beautifully positioned to give a view over rolling hills and colourful fields. A few minutes to Oamaru historic precinct and a gateway to Kakanui, Moeraki, Shag Point and the rest of the amazing North Otago coast. The house itself is sparkling clean and has all the comforts of a home away from home. Andrea is a lovely host and her thoughtful touches (fresh eggs and lavender from their farm) are very much appreciated. Buddy the dog is a highlight; he's the best-natured dog you'll ever have the privilege of meeting. Needless to say, very highly recommended!

The view was stunning! We enjoyed some of the provided board games on a rainy day, which was a plus for us. The way to the beach was - as expected - a little steep, but still okay and manageable.

great place to stay. fit all 10 of us in the house. was perfect- close to the pub for our post ultramarathon meal. easy communication with Martina.

Perfect location, with easy access to both Oamaru and the beach. Beautiful scenery, the house was just as described. The bed was comfortable and the shower and water pressure was great. The kitchen had everything we needed. I would highly recommend it...

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at James's place and it was equally as good as the 1st time. For us Racing at Levels was magic, just being down the road. We were able to relax within a few minutes of the track. Plenty of room for a big Race Trailer. James a very responsive host and very helpful with early check in and being able to leave the trailer for an extra couple of hours after checkout. If James will have us & the house is free we will definately be staying again

The house is well cut and looks even better in the original than in the photos. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a sliding door between the living room and kitchen that we used so as not to wake our child. It is all very well maintained. We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay in Twizel. The house is large and very modern, and it’s a short drive from the centre of Twizel. The host Laura was helpful and responsive. We would definitely recommend staying here!
