loved staying here! as a family of four it was just what we needed, we loved the outdoor grass area for our kid to run around and the house came full of all the amenities we needed. very friendly host and approable. being opposite black barn there was a concert on one of the nights we stayed and it was quite loud so id recommend checking if there are any events on if you're looking for quiet at night time. we loved the place and are looking at coming back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bach had a lovely feel. So good being able to see the sea and the lighthouse. Well equipped and clean bach close to the beach and dairy. Comfy beds. Would stay again.

A perfect place where we immediately felt at home in very private and quiet surroundings. The scenery you drive through from Hastings to the House is indescribably beautiful. To sit in the outdoor bath and enjoying the rural surroundings is amazing. Our best recommendations. Tina & Jan

For us, the accommodation with Alistair and Elizabeth was just perfect. We came from beautiful Napier and drove on to bustling Wellington the next day - the apartment in Palmerston North is a perfect break with privacy, a beautiful garden and very friendly hosts. The apartment is tastefully furnished with lovely details and equipped with everything you need. There are lots of tips for the surrounding area. It is a peaceful and beautiful place - we would have loved to stay longer, but had to move on after one night. We are very impressed and agree with the excellent reviews of our predecessors. This is how Airbnb is great!

Beautiful well kept home in a wonderfull location. Very cosy and spacious. The beds were so comfortable and luxurious, it was great to relax space after a long day. The home provided everything that we needed, and is more than what’s described. Karen is a wonderful host, who provides that extra touch to make you feel welcomed. We would highly recommend this home to anyone and would certainly visit again.

We spent four nights at this beautiful farm stay and can’t recommend it highly enough! The cottage is quaint and well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds are comfy, the views amazing and the outdoor spa bath an absolute treat. We were spoiled for choice in terms of seeing all the animals, including fallow deer and turkeys who walked right up to our doorstep! Michelle and Stewart are the most lovely hosts, and they went out of their way to invite our 2.5 year old son on all kinds of farm adventures and lend him all sorts of toys to play with - he was absolutely smitten! From the beautiful gardens to walks around the farm, the fresh eggs to the incredible wildlife, we had an incredible visit. Make sure you book your stay asap!

Home away from home!!! Absolutely loved this property, very clean and comfortable. Bruce & Ann are really great hosts and getting in touch with them during our stay was very easy. It was our first time visiting Hawkes Bay and this property played a huge role in the high comfort level we experienced.

Was an absolute joy to stay in this beautiful house With the amazing deck. So handy having 2 toilets as well. The yard and deck was well fenced and safe and private with amazing views. Really comfortable beds too had a fantastic sleep. The house was well supplied was a home away from home. Fully recommend.

Modern property in rural location, with great inside/outside flow and well designed garden area. Property is surrounded by trees meaning privacy is good. The location means there is little noise from neighbouring houses or the road. High quality fittings and furnishing. Modern bathrooms and showers. Bedrooms all warm with access to the garden. The main living area is large (the house is possibly larger than the pictures suggest) but still comfortable. The house is used as a home when not being rented so there were signs of that being the case. Some people may not like this but personally I prefer a home that actually functions as a home (e.g. good quality kitchenware rather than the odds and ends you often get in a pure rental property). The hosts were responsive and helpful.

Excellent home to stay in. The weather was terrible for 5 days and there were 10 of us and yet there was plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Fully recommend and Stephanie was Excellent to communicate with.

A lovely and peaceful stay! Don't be fooled by the plain exterior, the inside is cozy, spotless and very well-stocked. My family and I felt right at home, my daughter made friends with the neighbor kids, and the location is right on College st but tucked away from traffic noise. The hosts were responsive and accommodating. Make sure to turn on the hot water outside when you check in!
