Sherry was one of the best hosts we have had. She was very quick to respond if we needed anything and was genuinely concerned that we had a wonderful stay. You couldn't ask for a better host. Everything was exactly as described and shown. This was the most well outfitted place we have ever stayed. We cooked our own meals outside on the grill and inside the kitchen, everything we needed or could want was there. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows perfect. The towels were new and soft as could be. If I had to describe the whole thing in a word, it would be quality. It is obvious Sherry has a high standard for herself. I would stay here if I had business in Topeka or Manhattan. It is a short drive to both but the peace and quiet here is worth every mile. It was so quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. We saw deer, turkeys, and a Bald Eagle so yes, you are in the country here but with good internet! We highly recommend it.

Shelley’s schoolhouse is the coolest AIRBNB ever. It’s so beautiful how she renovated it. Place has just the right amount of updates, and remnants of its original historical charm. The high ceilings are beautiful, the fancy kitchen is to die for! Shelley made our stay really special, we came out for my birthday, she left the sweetest birthday message for me. The music was playing when we walked in, it was so grand and amazing! My friend owns a restaurant down the street, Mel’s gathering place, we finally made it down from KC to check him out, this school house stay only made the trip more adventurous! Can’t wait to bring our kids next time! Soaking tub and towel warmer was the icing on the cake. Shelley has a real eye for design. We loved her Easter decor, so CUTE! There is no skipping on details, and luxury in this place. Bed was very comfortable! We had the best time!! Thank you so much!

Nice appliances. Older home, but well kept. One door was too low, my son - in - law kept hitting his head.

The air bnb was exactly like the pictures….very clean, easy to get to. Pilar was a great host! She has thought of all the little extras in the bathroom, that u might forget and need, same goes for the kitchen. Thanks for sharing your home. We loved Saint Mary’s as well, peaceful neat lil town..

We booked our stay about 2 weeks out to attend my sons sporting event, I needed to add one more guest mid-week Heather was very responsive to messages before arrival. My children (13,10,5) really enjoy the outdoors and were ready to explore the property as soon as we parked. Our stay wasn't as long as we'd like with our early morning departure, if we are ever back in the area needing to stay, we'll definitely be checking availability. The farm store was open when we arrived, it offered milk (I'm guessing from their milk barn on property), meats, homemade soaps, honey and apple butter. Seeing the farm animals out and about on the property was an added bonus.

Beautiful house it’s even better in person than in the pictures, and it’s a great area love the dock on the lake. The owner was very helpful never had a question everything was clear. Definitely want to come back!
