What a special property Thong has. From the moment we drove down the driveway we were in awe. It was the perfect weekend getaway to gather with family and relax. Although it was freezing we still enjoyed some fishing off the dock and admiring the lakefront from the cozy living room. We hope to make it back sometime in warmer weather.

This was a really lovely home, immaculately clean and host provided everything we needed. Plenty of space for a large family or group to stay. We enjoyed the numerous games, ping pong, foosball and the hot tub. This home has one of the best views of SML I have seen. The views of the lake and mountains were stunning. Hosts provided ample information prior to arrival and was extremely responsive and amenable during our stay. Highly recommended.

The pictures don’t do this place any justice!! This home was amazing tons of things to do even in November!!! And the VIEW WAS STUNNING FROM INSIDE AND ON EVERY DECK DID I MENTION IT WAS 4 DECKS TO SET AND WATCH THE WATER! My family was so happy with this home none of us wanted to leave! We will definitely be booking again… Thank You for allowing us to share your home….

We had a great time as a family of 6 (5 adults and 1 child), enjoying a Thanksgiving getaway on the lake. The house itself has tons of space, very comfortable, fast Wi-Fi, and matched the descriptions, but the real highlight was the amazing views of the lake and being able to walk down to the water and the dock. We also did some stargazing at night, and actually managed to spot the Milky Way on a particularly clear night, along with way more stars than you'd typically see just 70 miles from a major metro area like the triangle. Overall would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet lakefront getaway.

Our stay at "Welcome to Winny's" was lovely. We were looking for a place to stay close to Smith Mountain Lake State Park, and this was the perfect spot, less than ten minutes away. The home is new (just a few years old) and located in a nice community at Mariners Landing. Lots of great amenities and a few restaurants as well. The home was very clean and had two living room areas, one on each level. Kudos to our host, John, for creating a welcoming space and for being responsive. I highly recommend this!

Our stay overall was pretty great. It was a perfect location for us while we attended a wedding on the lower end of the lake. The ability to keep our rented boat at their docks was a huge plus and the restaurant on site was absolutely wonderful spot to dine. There were a few very minor things with the unit that I thought would have been addressed before guests get there but overall again just minor things that don’t warrant an immediate fix upon our entry. (No light bulbs in a few fixtures, a few minor cleanliness things, etc.) The complex property was very nicely maintained and kept up, it was the off season so we didn’t get to use many of the amenities, but overall it was a good stay for our extended weekend.

We truly enjoyed this little gem! Van was a great host who went above and beyond to answer any questions that we had before and after check-in. I would totally stay here again and recommend this place for anyone who may need to spot to lay their head within Danville.

The name says it all! Very lovely, clean, incredibly spacious and comfortable home. The location is excellent, with a gorgeous view from the quiet cove looking toward the mountain. Matthew is a gracious and responsive host. We’re already booked for next year!
