Cottage vacation rentals in Versilia

Unique, authentic and clean! We were looking for a place where to stay in the mountains and still have the Italian authentic small vila - and we found it. It was rainy when we stayed, but it didn’t changed our plans and the vibe as the villa itself has the coziness that fits any weather. Highly recommended place to stay if you want to feel the unique and authentic vibe.

We had a fantastic stay in the cottage for nine nights. Villa Alta is in a beautiful location and the grounds around the house are so well maintained. We enjoyed both the shared pool and our own private terrace with hot tub. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and perfect for our needs. It was a perfect base for us to explore the area. Raffaella was so friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the villa on a couple of occasions. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Sara and Bryan were responsive and helpful even before we arrived. They sent us a comprehensive pdf with information for the area and were quick to answer any questions we had. Bryan met us at the parking lot with his tractor and helped us bring up our many suitcases. Although it was rainy during most of our stay, Metato was still magical. The views are phenomenal and the village is lovely. The place had everything we needed including rain boots and umbrellas. There was a lot of space and we all had our own floor at the house which was a nice perk. We enjoyed going down to dinner in village below which Bryan and Sara helped reserve for us. Everything was amazing and the hosts are lovely people. We loved talking to them and hearing about the story of the village. Can’t wait to come back!!

The house is very spacious and the garden is really very pleasant. The kitchen and the master bathroom (huge) are renovated. We really appreciated that the rooms were air conditioned especially since we were there in the hottest period. However, we were surprised to have to buy garbage bags, as there was only one for each trash can, except for the compost that had several. Same for toilet paper, there was just 1 per bathroom. The pool was very hot and the garden was very well-equipped. We had a crib for an additional charge of €10/day which was a little expensive. There were children's toys, but no high chair (good to know). You should know that the access is a little bumpy and that you have to open your eyes to see the bend for the path that leads to the house. It has the advantage of being very quiet and private.

Great location. Great price. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful views, 20 min by car from the nearest town, not accessible without a car. The communication went great, the house was easy to find with navigation & the area is very nice

We had a wonderful vacation. Very quiet and undisturbed location without neighbors surrounded by nature. A cabin that offers everything and is practical and tastefully furnished and equipped. One day we emigrated from the house, otherwise always by car: supermarket that leaves nothing to be desired 10 min, beach with sand and public 25 min, Pisa and Genoa about 1.5 hours with parking, hiking in the Apuan Alps about 1 hour. Natural beach 35 min.

Nice and quiet place. Beautiful views of the hills .Lost of outdoor space and sweet distance sound of the church bell. Lovely place to get back too after a busy day elsewhere.

Very nice place where you really feel at home. Fantastic secluded location, right on the mountain with perfect views. In the middle of the nature, you can unwind completely. The cottage was very spacious, sparkling clean and very cozy. It had a very nice bathroom and kitchen, everything was super nicely finished. The only point of improvement is to invest in a slightly more comfortable sofa, so if it's cold, you can sit inside. Despite that, everything was 10/10, thank you Fabio for your warm welcome and nice/fast communication!

We had an outstanding time at Enricos place. Perfect vacation! It’s a beautiful location, a great house and an outstanding property. If you’re looking for relaxation and an oasis of solitude, it’s the place to be. Yet it is still very close to a lot of nice original restaurants, grocery stores but also Lucca and the beach are just a short drive away as well. We were welcomed by Donatella, one of the nicest person ever, who showed us the house, the property and send us tips and recommendations for things to do in the area. She was super responsive if we had any additional question. Also Enrico was a great host, making sure the house, pool and property was in perfect shape for his guests. 5 stars, without a doubt !!

It's rare to see hosts like this! Graziella and Marco's hospitality and commitment made us feel at home. They made our stay memorable. The location of the house was perfect for us – proximity to both the main tourist attractions and the highway. The close proximity to the highway exit was especially useful for numerous excursions. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The garden with a patio was an added bonus that allowed us to relax after a day of sightseeing. With a clear conscience, I recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique holiday in Tuscany.

The house is beautiful and cozy. 8 of us had a great time. Very convenient for Lucca comics because it is 10 minutes from the walls and parking. Super available to give us all the necessary directions to get there and for the accommodation.

We were guests of Ilaria for Lucca Comics: the house is about 20-25 minutes from Lucca and the road that connects it to the city was not very busy on the days we stayed. The house itself is very welcoming and well-stocked, spacious and with the possibility of being outside with tables, pool or barbecue area (we did not take much advantage of these aspects, but in summer it must definitely be very nice). The only flaws we have found are the substantially absent reception, which therefore obliges us to rely only on the wifi, and the entrance way to the house that is little visible, but regarding this second point Ilaria was very kind to provide us with photos and precise directions, in addition to offering to meet us when we arrived (which would have been after 10:00 pm). Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay!

Located in a beautifully situated village, perfect for disconnecting and exploring the nature and cities of Lucca, Pisa ... Lorenzo is a great host, great at communication and very warm. The accommodation itself is top modern, just like in the pictures and complemented by a great, shared pool ideal for a vacation.

Fantastic: very nice house in a beautiful setting with a great view, both from the house, front yard and pool. Nice interior, good ambiance, very clean and fully equipped! The shared pool is big and close by, but nicely secluded. Gianluigi really is a great host; very responsive, friendly and helpful. Our kids had a short and heavy flu, and he helped us out enormously. It was clear that he really wants his guests to enjoy their stay. Thank you Gianluigi!

We really much enjoyed our time in Fiascherino! The place is gorgeous, calm and friendly. The access to the beach is good and includes some steep walking on the way home. We liked the direct kitchen access very much!

Had wonderful days in the beautiful maisonette. Close to the city and quiet area. Very nice bed and everything was sparkling clean!

We had an amazing stay here. It’s a bit tricky to find but Shannon has great instructions that made it easy! The cottage is super peaceful and it’s a great walk into either surrounding town. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others who are looking for a getaway.

The apartment is lovely and perfect for relaxing and enjoying some time away from city troubles. Vagli Sotto is a very tiny town, it is possible to go there by bus, but as there is a lot of nice things to do + no bigger place to shop food around, a car was very helpful. Also, do not book if you’re looking for some luxurious place - the apartment is very comfortable and has everything one needs, but the house itself is quite simple. Contrary to some old reviews, the neighborhood was not loud at all. Catia and Anna were very easy to reach via message and very kind + helpful in every matter. Thank you!!

State of conservation and maintenance of the home and outdoor spaces perfect for those who love nature ("wild") and to spend time with friends. Spacious. It is also very convenient for our medium to large dogs. Secluded but close to inhabited homes. Surrounded by greenery. Historical artifacts restored in a very conservative way. Great for a company of friends. Wide range of exclusive uncovered spaces. Always ready Sergio.

Host was "on the point" and very friendly and helpful. Privacy is questionable because your parents live directly across the street and "watch" everything... You are friendly and respectful, but somehow always there. These are small things that you can also ignore and enjoy the time in the accommodation. All in all, I highly recommend!
