We had an amazing stay. Everything was great. The view from the bedroom and livingroom is simply breathtaking. The location is great, a few minutes drive from everything you'd need in the area. It is really a great choice for a mountain vacation.

We had a wonderful stay at Bjorn and Florentina's house. The location is quiet, peaceful and beautiful - A fantastic part of Romania to be emersed in nature. The house was perfect for us. Bjorn was so helpful in giving us advise around things to do locally. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The Lake Cottage to the Mountain

Adela's house is a wonderful place in a quiet valley in the Maramureş Mountains. Cows with bells attached to their necks graze around. A real idyll! In addition, there is no network, so you can log out and admire the surroundings. You can hear owls in the evenings. The cottage has all the necessary amenities. Adela was very nice and helpful. During our stay, we had a problem with a lack of water, but Adela's family quickly dealt with it. We will be happy to come back here

The apartment was welcoming with a cozy vibe. If you want to escape the chaos of crowded places this is the right place. Also, the house is equipped with all the utilities you need. The fireplace was the most exquisite, it gave us a familiar feeling.

It was a wonderful experience, really beautiful and peaceful place, very clean and very private. We enjoyed the scenery and the sound of the river alongside the small squirrel that visited us! The cabin looks exactly like the pictures, surrounded by trees and mountains with fresh air, and we really got along with the owners. Hopefully we ll return soon, it s worth it!

Radu’s place is everything we were looking for for a short retreat close to the Maramures and Rodnei mountains. We stayed with three dogs and the somehow remote location of the cottage with fantastic views was a perfect choice to enjoy the place itself and the area in our own peace. Cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay and even though it was not possible to reach it with our own car, Radu was really kind and allowed us to use his 4x4 so we really did not miss anything during our stay. Radu and his wife are both very kind and very responsive, and whenever we needed something they made sure that we did not have to wait for their support for very long. I can only say that we were sorry when we needed to leave.

We had a great time with the family at Adi's house. The house is very spacious, and the beds comfortable. An extra double bed, which was not on the listing, is in an open room upstairs, so we were able to sleep 5 people without a problem, without using the ground floor living room as a bedroom. Adi's parents, who live in the neighboring house, are very welcoming and speak French: what a nice surprise, even though we had tried to learn a few words in Romanian! This made the exchanges all the easier and more rewarding. The house is well located for visiting Maramureș (Săpânța, Sighetu Marmatiei, Bârsana, Breb, Borșa, etc.).

Ioan was the nicest Airbnb host that we have ever experienced. He gave us a lot of information about what to see and what to do close the Airbnb and he was always available when we had any questions. The Airbnb is awesome - two bigger rooms (each for 3 people) and 2 barrels, each for 2. Especially the outdoor place including the jacuzzi is fantastic for bigger groups! Ioan provided us with coffee, tea, milk etc. We can only recommend this Airbnb!

If you're looking for a serene mountain getaway, this cabin is absolutely perfect! The location is stunning, surrounded by breathtaking views and peaceful nature. This place is heaven on earth! My friends and I really enjoyed o staying! The owners, Lucica and Gavril, are amazing and they do take care of you. We felt like home and we had the best time ever. The house is really clean, organised, well equipped and in a strategic place, with a beautiful gardens and a magnificent view! Lucica also brought us a tasty homemade breakfast. The best place I have stayed with family this summer. Quiet, clean, spacious, easy to find, but in the same time close to town centre, to Mocanita and to supermarket. We liked the wooden terrace, the spacious garden, the books and the games available. The whole house was spotlessly cleaned, the white towels and linens gave a welcomed feel. The style is modern and functional with some traditional details without being in the way. The friendly host contacted me in time with clear check-in details and was available if needed for the duration of the stay. We would love to stay here again in the future

Our stay (8 people) was amazing! The house is very cosy, well equipped, clean, and certainly aesthetically pleasing. The traditional interior, the fireplace, the outdoor hot tub, and the outdoor cooking pavilion created a remarkable ambience. The place is quite isolated, so it is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing stay. Our host was very responsive, polite, and friendly!! We had a lovely stay with Busta and his wife. They were so friendly and helpful! Upon arrival, she took us to visit a few local sites, and shared stories about the area’s history. It was fun to see all of the beautiful textiles and clothing. They cooked us dinner, which was delicious!

The Little House in Cotroape - Maramures

Casuta din Cotroape is a hidden gem. If you want to experience a beautiful view and really take in nature in this area, this is a great option. Honestly the value is terrific. The home is filled with traditional Romanian decorations and items. Dan and his team were extremely responsive and helpful. I had nothing but pleasant interactions. This place has a great kitchen and the bathrooms were very clean. My girlfriend really enjoyed the clawfoot tub. Unfortunately, we only stayed 2 days and it was raining on and off so we could not enjoy the BBQ and outside gazebo/tables, but that would have improved the experience even more. The road to the home is a little tricky since it’s uphill gravel, but not a major concern. It’s worth the view from the hill it sits upon.
