The chalet acts a point of depart for mountain walks or hikes, bike riding, snowshoeing or even cross country skiing in the winter time. Ski slopes and thermal baths can be reached in around 30 minutes by car.

Gadestatt is a traditional Maiensäss. A Maiensäss is a cultural peculiarity of Swiss history. These simple but beautiful wooden buildings used to be inhabited on the Alps during the summer. We built this little house for ourselves with love. It is close to our home, but it has an unobstructed view and preserves your privacy. You will feel right at home. We dream while looking at the view, the sun's path, on one of the terraces or by the fireplace. To disconnect, discover the Gruyère, isolate yourself for teleworking, escape as a couple... The hardest part is leaving. In JULY and AUGUST, rentals are from Saturday to Saturday. 😊

The Mayen Studio

The studio is located in the former stable of our mayen. It was recently renovated and includes a 140 cm bed, a bathroom with shower, a work space, a private terrace and a kitchenette. The chalet is located above the village of Mase at 1600 m altitude in a Mayens area, on the edge of the forest. The view of the Val d'Hérens is breathtaking... The nearest ski resort is Nax, 10 minutes by car.

Niedergesteln is 10 km west of Visp. In the castle community from the 11th century, you feel like you are in the Middle Ages. The knight village is an ideal starting point to discover and enjoy Upper Valais on hikes, bike or ski tours.
