Vacation rentals in Utqiagvik

The space was perfect for a trip to Utqiagivk. You can see the ocean out the bedroom windows and a great view across the lagoon towards the airport from the kitchen. Walkable to the whale bone arch, a coffee hut, and aa few restaurants. Peaceful and lovely. Host was great, will absolutely be looking for this place first on the next visit!

I stayed here almost for three months. Clark was very kind and helpful from the moment I reserved this place. Communication was prompt and good and the place was equipped with everything needed for the arctic life as described. It was really cold and windy outside but I never felt cold inside: it was always warm and cozy. The fully functioning kitchen with gas range, oven, microwave, coffee maker, etc made me feel home. The washer and dryer were a must. The hot shower and a heated toilet inside made me relieved. Sometimes the piping was frozen so some issues happened but Clark did his best to solve/resolve them as soon as possible. Actually Clark did his best to make my stay as comfortable as possible. He often checked if I was ok and would need anything. He is very caring and reasonable. When it was not very windy, I could walk to almost everywhere in town. The grocery store was just a few blocks away. I’d love to come back here soon.

I had to cancel due to a blizzard. CP refunded much of the trip and send follow-up emails letting me know how the weather was in Utqiagvik. That helped me make some important decisions about my work trip and let me reschedule some things faster than I would have. It was very much appreciated.

This was the perfect place to stay while in Barrow. It is right across from the airport and you can walk directly after picking up your luggage. It is walkable to all the restaurants and key areas to see. The place is clean, comfortable and had a stove (which we didn’t use), refrigerator, microwave, and a spacious bedroom area and bathroom with lots of counter space. Cp was very friendly and helped with the questions we had about the area and recommendations for restaurants. I would stay there again if we come back to Barrow.

Our stay and our visit to Barrow is PERFECT. Our bedroom and the shared bathroom and living room is super neat and beautiful. It was very quiet at night. On the check out day, Susan allowed us to hang around until our flight time. The town is walkable and takes 30 minutes tops to walk to most of the places from the house. Susan makes amazing breakfast and dinner. She gave us many great tips about where to visit in town. She also helped us to book a tour with a local guide to Point Barrow (and we saw polar bears!!). All the other guests are super nice, welcoming and had amazing travel stories. We had so much fun talking to each other during dinner and breakfast. 100% recommended if you want to make friends & learn more about the top of the world!! (ps: when we went there, the internet has been down for a month for the whole town. Make sure you downloaded offline map and saved the address. Airport staff can help you call a taxi to Susan's house, which takes like 4 minutes.)

Was a very friendly and responsive host. enjoyed our stay very much. The sauna was a plus!

Barrow is a great place to visit - it is unlike any place we've ever visited. Latitude 71 is a great place to stay! Myron was a wealth of knowledge and we enjoyed learning more about life in the Arctic. The Heritage Center has an incredible whaling exhibit - definitely worth checking out. Everything was exactly as advertised by Susan and Myron; we will stay again if we return to Barrow!

Susan was absolutely amazing! Her place is so much more than expected. She made us feel comfortable and did an awesome job showing us around. She had extensive knowledge of Barrow and has played a vital role in the community for some time. Very clean and well established B&B. One of the best I've stayed in and it's located at the top of the world!

Had a great time up there, house had really cool decorations, rooms are nice & big. Great breakfast & toured around Barrow. 6 out of 5 stars! Not everyday you’re on Top of The World!

Had a fantastic stay at Susan's house. The house is quite warm and spacious and is only a 5 minute walk to the Cultural Center and Museum as well as supermarket. The house has multiple rooms that you can explore (if no one else is sleeping in them of course) and features many intriguing Alaskan displays including sculptures, dolls, and pictures not to mention a giant polar bear hanging from the rails. I'm so glad I opted to stay here versus the Top of the World Hotel as Susan might be the only one in town who actually offers an in-depth private tour (at extra cost) that includes areas that most tourist could never see or reach, including wildlife, a scientific research station - all in an awesome jacked-up truck! She even let me use her binoculars to try and spot polar bears! So if you're sort of on the fence about booking or not, definitely do it!

I would highly recommend staying at Latitude over the other options in town. The accommodations are cozy and comfortable. It’s the best breakfast in Barrow.
