Vacation rentals with beach access in Unguja

the apartment was clean with beautiful surroundings. Odette is super friendly and responded quick to any of my questions. it was worth the price, although we didn't have free wifi as the it shows that here, however, I would say that this apartment is even more beautiful than what is showing in the pictures here, the pictures doesn't do it justice. I stayed for 10 days and it felt like home. would definitely book the place again whenever I'm visiting Fumba again.

I would definitely stay here again. The space is beautiful and kept nicely. Abdul was very responsive and helpful. I appreciated his flexibility with me needing to extend my stay. We loved staying at Shazma’s place! She was very responsive and helpful! Her place is in the perfect location and I loved that we never experienced any of the power outages that typically happen in Zanzibar. I highly recommend this place!

We spent a wonderful few days in Fumba Town with our children! It was very quiet and clean! The apartment and the service of Neema are great! Beautiful surroundings with beautiful park, great pool and the sea is also very welcoming at high tide. Shopping, restaurants all within walking distance through beautiful, shaded parks with lots of plants. Great playground for the children directly opposite the apartment!

Fukuchani Inn is wonderful - the staff is pleasant, kind, and very willing to help with whatever you might need. Everyone was friendly and we had a wonderful stay. The Inn is right near the ocean, a quick little walk to a beautiful (albeit rocky) beach, and it's very close (about 15 mins) from Nungwi beach. And the pool is lovely! We stayed in the 2-bedroom Villa and it was perfect for my family, plenty of space and very clean. And of course I have to mention Daisy, the basset hound!! Such a friendly and good girl :) We would love to come back one day - overall, great stay :) Friendly reminder to travelers, Tanzania and Zanzibar often have power outages, and this includes A/C - but they only lasted a few mins each time, and the staff aims to provide as comfortable a stay as possible.

Beautiful, private, quiet. The perfect place to unplug and forget about everyday life for a while. There is plenty of space to freely unfold, whether you are into training and yoga, or would rather lie by the pool in either sun or shade. Beautiful views and complete garden.

Ernst is a very good gatsgeber . He responds immediately and always helps. Everything is very well organized. He has arranged the help on site very well. There is always a contact person there. Maybe think about an emergency power unit......The house is located directly on the beach , just a few steps to the sea. Absolutely quiet location. Thank you very much for the nice time there.

A little slice of heaven! We had an amazing stay at Elisabetta’s house in early January. The house is right on the gorgeous beach and it looks even better in real life than the pictures. It is very tastefully decorated and has everything you may need during your stay. The bedrooms are large and the covered patio overlooking the beach is absolutely gorgeous. It was great having Abdul to ask for recommendations and Teresa was just the best with cleaning and making us feel right at home. The town of Kiwengwa is small so we booked a few day trips from here and explored the rest of the island. Elisabetta is a wonderful host, extremely friendly and always responsive. She helped make our holiday very comfortable. We will cherish the memories that we made at Casa Di Lilli and would absolutely recommend booking this beautiful house.

We stayed at Fumba town for 5 days and the place was brilliant. Thanks to our lovely host and area the place was worth it. Bathroom and rooms looked better than in the picture.

Wonderful. The pictures do not do the villa justice. Like most accommodations on the island, the villa is located off the beaten path but, once through the gate, you enter a property with at least three other villas generously separated by privacy hedges. I liked this because you get the sense of serene solitude but know folks are nearby - including a tucked away house for the villa attendants. During low tide, you can walk to a nearby beach, otherwise, you step directly into shin deep crystal clear water via steps by the pool. In terms of the layout, it’s perfect for friends or two couples. Parents with small kids should know that the central living space does not have internal access to the two equally outfitted bedrooms. All spaces are accessed from the terrace (which is absolutely lovely). It’s worth noting in case small kids wake in the middle of the night and try to get to their parent’s room. I would be happy to stay here again, or any of Susan’s other listings.

This place is a true gem. Hidden away, it's not the typical Zanzibar tourist spot. In fact, we were the only non-local people in the whole neighbourhood. It felt amazing to shop in the local village micro-shop, get fresh fish and calamari straight from the fish market, enjoy the private beach. If you feel like disconnecting, winding down and relaxing to the fullest - this is your place. And then, when you feel like exploring anything Zanzibar has to offer - you have all the options. Ali, the manager, is gonna be your guide, driver, and will arrange anything you please. We went to Stone Town, to Paje, to one of the spice farms, to the Jozani Forrest, to see the turtles, to go kayaking, spent a day on a boat trip (saw dolphins, went snorkelling, visited the famous sand bank, had lobster and fish on a private island). Ali even arrange for Omar, a private chef, to cook for us one evening. We hope to visit again one day. I highly recommend Nick's place! You will not be disappointed!

Liza and Raphael are great hosts. The house is simply fantastic and you immediately feel at home. The location was perfect for us. It's not so touristy and crowded there. Really pleasant to enjoy the island. Hatibu and his team take great care of you and you feel very well looked after. The food was fresh and delicious every day. The manager Hatibu is always available and fulfills your every wish. For me there is really nothing to complain about. We stayed here for a week with the whole family (6 people) and at the end we really didn't want to leave at all. It is one of those places that you would prefer to keep to yourself. An insider tip. My 3 week stay at Wanja's place was peaceful and I felt at home. Wanja and the Aura Space Team were always responsive to my inquires and accommodating to my needs during my stay. This was my first visit to East Africa and to Zanzibar so I appreciated each of the dining and sightseeing suggestions Wanja provided. The area was very walkable and I met many friendly locals who helped to make my stay enjoyable. I would stay at Wanja's place again.

I can only recommend the place, from communication to booking, to transportation from the airport to the welcome and accommodation to the apartment, we were happy with everything. The family apartment provides plenty of space and excellent cooking facilities. The beds are very comfortable and the terrace is superbly adapted to relax in privacy thanks to the grown beautifully blooming bushes. Next, the generous breakfast included and 2 pools, at least one of which we had to ourselves at any time. The area is very well maintained, the pools are clean and the surroundings of the apartments are cared for. It's about a 5-minute walk to the beach, as well as the beginning of the village, where you can shop for everything you need, and also observe the local life while walking. Thank you so much to the owners and the entire staff for a great stay.

The staff was the best part of the stay. They were amazing, especially Dan. The property is next to the beach and in the middle of a village. Seeing the African culture and way of living mixed with paradisiac views…was riveting. Several descent restaurants in the area as well. Will definitely book again.

The perfect place for anyone who wants the comforts of home and a relaxing atmosphere. Personally I need a car to get around the island, but Baobab is close to the beach and plenty of restaurants. Our host Barbara and the staff were the absolute best and always close by. The apartment is frequently cleaned thoroughly. We had split our stay on Zanzibar between Baobab and another hotel. But when we left Baobab and checked in to the second place, we immediately called Barbara and came back that same evening

The villa was absolutely beautiful. It looks much bigger in real life than in the pictures. It’s right next to the beach, making it easy to go for long walks along the shore. There are also many local restaurants nearby. I want to thank Grace ❤️ and the security gentleman for their help and kindness—they truly made my stay special!

We enjoyed staying at Rashad’s place. It’s close to everything and just a walking distance to the beach. There are other restaurants around the place. Cleaners comes every morning if you want cleaning. Rashid is a nice person and easy to communicate with as well. I highly recommend this place to other Airbnb community.
