Vacation rentals in Ulbster

I was on a post redundancy, solo trip & needed to be near the sea and create a wee bubble of peace for myself. Tanya’s caravan is perfectly situated, with an incredible, unencumbered view. You can even see Tarbat Ness lighthouse out in the distance. Clear starry nights, the sound of the waves and seabirds. This is a busy holiday park for most of the year & wouldn’t really suit me in the peak season but at the beginning of November, it was quiet & peaceful. I didn’t use the park facilities & the one day I did venture to the shop they were just closing at 2pm. I took a wander into Dornoch & had a lovely afternoon in the local charity & book shops as well as the very well stocked Dornoch Stores. Tanya’s place has absolutely every convenience you could possibly need & that made the stay so much more comfortable. And with Tanya herself being so friendly & helpful it made for the perfect stay. The only difficulty was unreliable wifi but I had unlimited phone data and a great signal.

We had a lovely stay. The cottage lives up to its name. As we are older generation things like being “cosy” at all times is important, especially in January! Kiersten goes above & beyond providing virtually everything you may need as well as a welcome pack.

We had a great stay over New Year at the Crab Shack. You couldn't be closer to the water. Two huge lounge area with wood burners. All rooms had their own bathrooms. Main bedroom was fantastic. Beautiful views out to sea. We will come back in the summer months to see what the area is like in warmer times.

An ideal stop off of the A9. Perfect for the NC500. The beach adjacent to the cottage is a lovely extra. With a great bridge to cross. The cottage was super clean. With a very comfy bed. It had everything you would expect from a cottage in Scotland! Alexa was really helpful and answered all of my questions; as well as quickly arranging another night's accommodation at the cottage, due to a storm. Dunbeath is a lovely place to visit whilst at the cottage.

A beautifully clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated flat. A real home from home, which we settled into the moment we opened the front door. We will definitely be booking to stay here again in the future. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.

Beautiful house with a cosy and warm decor. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Stayed here for a night with friends while doing the NC500, would highly recommend.

Gorgeous place in the middle of nowhere. Very private and relaxing. A cozy place to spend Christmas.

Stayed here over new year and really enjoyed our stay. Jackie and her husband were very friendly and were there if we needed anything. The place was lovely and we even got to use the hot tub which was great. Would highly recommend staying here!

Set in an amazing location just off the main road, although we couldn't hear the noise of the traffic at all. Very picturesque surroundings and perfect spot for watching the sun rise while relaxing in the hot tub. Spacious cabin and very well furnished. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. We had 2 pizzas delivered which were 10/10.
