Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Tromsøya

Very pleasant stay in a quiet environment. We were able to observe the Northern Lights several evenings from the grounds behind the sauna. There is a nice view of the fjord from the accommodation.

It was a very nice stay with Bård! You dont have to fear to be lost in nowhere, since you have Bård living right next door and help is always only a short way! (:

We (family of 5) stayed for 1 week in Mats great house. It’s easy to get to from the airport, just download svipper app and see which bus you need and pay your ticket in the app. The bus stop Storskogen is not far from the house. The house is big and comfy, the kitchen has everything you need, the beds are comfy and there are enough towels, shower gel, shampoo and toilet paper for the whole week. There is also a hair dryer and kitchen towels and enough tablets for the dish washer, etc. The best is the view from the balcony! We saw the Northern lights from there right on our first evening. Amazing! The couch and the dinner table are nice, big and a great hangout. We walked most days back and forth to the city. It’s a 20 minutes walk. Taking the bus is also easy. Streets do not completely get cleared of snow and ice. We were wearing snowboots, my mother walking boots with spikes. We loved our northern lights trip, langlaufen (both via airbnb) and dogsledding (Arctic Adventure Tours)

Stunning view from the apartment, and very friendly host

Excellent stay spent in this accommodation, our host is very accommodating and pragmatic but the dad is a very sociable and very friendly person especially he helped me fish on the glacier. Thank you for everything and I would highly recommend. Small, less cool, it's the washing machine that didn't want to work or we didn't know how to turn it and the beds were okay but should have been more comfortable.

Hands down the nicest Airbnb we’ve stayed in! A beautiful, cosy and well-equipped home in a stunning location. A great base for exploring the sights of Tromsø and beyond. We were a large group of 8 people and the house accommodated us perfectly, with a second sitting room upstairs for the kids to chill out in and 5 comfortable bedrooms. We saw the northern lights from the terrace on our first evening and then in even more spectacular fashion on the big bus tour to Grunnfjord. We used the #28 bus to travel into the city centre- service was regular and comfortable and the stop is directly in front of the house. Download the Svipper app for the times and to buy tickets. We enjoyed cooking in the fabulous kitchen and watching the sunset over the mountains. The beds were so comfortable we slept like babies. The hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly and responsive. We really appreciated the welcome basket ❤️ We’d love to return. Thank you Thomas and Siren for a wonderful stay.

Great accommodation! Everything about it was lovely! It was spacious, very clean, lots of amenities, well heated, kitchen was well equipped, location was fantastic, host was very responsive and gave great instructions. Everything about the stay was great and I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone going to tromso.

We had a lovely stay at Tromso, and we are glad we found Liv and Mad’s apartment. They are the nicest host in every way possible. Very friendly and kind. Also we found their local recommendations like places to spot the Aurora super helpful. The apartment was located in a charming location outside the bustle of the city and highly recommended. We could see the aurora from right outside the apartment. There’s a supermarket Eurospar just 5 mins walk away where all amenities are available including cooked food which can be an alternative to eating out at restaurants and can save a lot of money. The Fjellheisen and Arctic Cathedral each were 10 mins walk away as well. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely return soon. Thank you!

we stayed in this place for a week with our two children. Very nice location, access to the city center via city buses, possible to do it on foot too in 35 minutes. Bus stop and supermarket very close to the accommodation. i recommend this listing.

Jacob's place was amazing with a supermarket literally 1 min away to get anything that's needed and everything in a 10/15 minutes distance by car. The place was just like home and cozy, super responsive and an amazing host.

It feels just like home, as the apartment is well-equipped and located in a peaceful area. Roger and Tone are extremely kind, always available for any questions, and very responsive. The accommodation is ideally situated in a quiet part of the city, close to a walking trail and well-served by buses. I highly recommend both the hosts and the apartment. If we return to Tromsø, it will definitely be to stay in this wonderful place!

The apartment is fabulous. The pictures online don't convey the actual size of the apartment. Its very spacious and warm, all amenities you need are provided ( including really nice shampoo, shower gel and handsoap which is unusual for a rental). Was able to watch Netflix which is handy for when you get back form sightseeing or if you stay in at night time. The bed is extremely comfy, as are the pillows. Very quiet apartment. The accommodation is up a slope which can be tricky to navigate in cold weather but a lot of nationalities won't find this a challenge as they will be used to very cold weather ( Irish visitors may struggle a little like I did 😊). I will be returning to Tromso in the summer of next year and will absolutely rent this apartment again. Tromso is an amazing city, and having an amazing central base adds to the enjoyment of a short holiday. Have rented many many apartments on my travels over the years and this is in my top 10!

From the very start when Ragnar very kindly picked us from up the airport we knew everything was going to be excellent. The apartment is exactly as described we felt so snug and cosy there - a real home from home. An enjoyable walk into the centre of Tromso with so many cafes bars and restaurants to choose from. We absolutely fell in love with Tromso and the view from Ragnar’s apartment was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend this apartment and this super friendly host. 🇳🇴😊

Beautiful and modern the panoramic views were amazing especially if you are lucky enough to see the lights from the living room like we did. The hosts were very kind and helpful and easy to communicate with. The only issue is the place can be alittle hard to find as the GPS was not updated with some of the road closures. All and all a great stay.

Incredible space! The place was spotless and the beds were extremely comfortable. 2min walk to the bus stop and the buses are super regular, we did not need to rent a car to go out on hikes.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The place was beautiful inside and out and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was convenient, only 15 min from the airport. Ole responded promptly to messages. Would highly recommend!

a perfect place to spend a week, even in February.

We had a wonderful time in the lodge with snow, auroras and fire in the fireplace. The house is very comfortable and nicely furnished. There's nothing missing. You definitely need a car, as no Uber drives that far and taxis are very expensive. The lodge is located about 20 minutes' drive from Tromsø right on the waterfront. Ketil is a very likeable, humorous and very helpful host! It couldn't be better. We will be happy to come back!!

Erika was a great host. The house is breathtaking with an incredible view. Everything was perfect!

This house was absolutely amazing in every way. Very clean and extremely comfortable. We felt like home from the first minute. Ingvar is such a friendly host and communication with him was easy. You can feel that he normally lives there, the place is so cosy. We also loved the hot tub! Since it is outside of the city the sky is really dark and we could see the northern lights from our porch on three days in a row! The kitchen is perfectly well equippec and we cooked most of our meals there. We would definitively return to Ingvars house.

Wow wow wow! What a wonderful place to stay! We felt right at home as soon as we walked in the house and the beds were really comfortable so we had great nights sleep. It was a beautiful place. Kirsten had very kindly left us some bits in the fridge as the shops were shut. Every time we had a question she responded quickly and kindly. She was also relaxed and flexible. She gave us some brilliant restaurant recommendations too. We have eaten so well in Tromso. We would have no hesitation in returning and recommending Kirsten’s place. Thank you Kirsten and family - we will be back hopefully :)

Staying at Anette's place was wonderful! The location is great and the direct views on the fjord are brilliant. Northern lights right outside the front door! Accommodation was very spacious and clean, check in very flexible and easy. We will be happy to come back.

Even though we were very unlucky with the weather did we have av very good stay. That because it´s a lovley place in a lovley location, the view from this place are just gorgeous. Tore Gjert hospitallity was also a big factor that we despite the crapy weather had such a good time. He got us feel at home, gave us alot of good tips and suggestion on what to do and where we could get good local food. He was also very helpful to oraganize the fishing trip that his son offers. We did the fishing trip on the only day with no rain and a bit of clear whether and it was great. His son is a great guide and we got fish and the secenery from the ocean is spectacular
