Perfect Shelter During a Storm! We rented this cabin while hiking the Appalachian Trail, needing a safe and cozy place to ride out a bad storm. It was the ideal spot, only 1.9 miles from the Dick’s Creek Gap trailhead, which made it super convenient for us. The cabin itself was welcoming, comfortable, and fully equipped, providing the perfect refuge from the rain and wind. We appreciated the peaceful location and how well-maintained everything was. It truly felt like a home away from home during our adventure. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay near the AT!

This is our second time staying in one of the Winton’s cozy properties. And definitely will not be the last. They are very welcoming hosts. The bath house is very charming, clean and well equipped. Don’t be intimidated about it.

Wonderful cabin with great character and rustic charm. We stayed with our boys 10 & 12, they loved that their beds were in the separate area downstairs with their own bathroom and fridge, it made them feel like they had their own space. They had a great time playing in the creek! We are avid campers/hikers, this was exactly what we had in mind. It is very rustic but this was a plus for us, really gives you that mountain/camping vibe. Anything we needed to cook with was available in the kitchen. Beds were comfy, and wifi worked well. All of the decorations were really cool to check out and added to that genuine rustic feeling. If you're looking for a rustic cabin feel, this is the place for you.

We always love our stays at the Black Beary Cabin! It honestly feels like we’re walking into our second home. Kelly’s place has everything as described and she is extremely responsive if we have questions about anything. Even if it’s asking about a great place to eat or a cool spot to hike, she is always willing to make sure that you have the best time! We can’t wait to go back again this summer!

Cute one bedroom cottage with nice views of the lake. We really enjoyed having access to the two kayaks that came with the rental. Little kitchen & living space were perfect for the two of us - liked the convenience of being able to cook meals there. Overall really enjoyed our stay & the proximity of the cottage to all the great outdoor hiking & sightseeing was amazing!

We stayed two nights at Odalys and Mark’s cabin. It was the perfect getaway, the cabin was clean and everything we needed was there! The local area is very nice and has some really great places to explore. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

I felt right at home. My family came for a celebration of life of a beloved family member, I was so thankful to find a place to bring my dogs during our stay. It is a beautiful area and not far from town. My husband and son was able to do some fishing while i was able to snuggle with my fur babies between family activities. The furniture was very comfortable. And the antiques were very interesting. We will be back for a vacation.
