Beachfront vacation rentals in Tortuguero

We had a few nights stay at Caribbean View and it was just what we needed. Accommodation is limited on Tortuguero, but Caribbean View had everything we needed for our stay there. It’s out of town, so quieter, which is what we wanted. We’d regularly get up in the morning to find turtle trails on the beach right in front of the accommodation. But only a 5-10 min walk into the main port area. The hosts were helpful with arranging the trips we wanted whilst there and cleaned everyday whilst we were there. The air-con was a saviour at night!

A perfect place to stay in Tortuguero! The apartment is clean and comfortable. The service is impeccable and the hosts are friendly and generous. Nothing to complain about except that we recommend this place with an incredible view of the beach (hammock available) !

it's hard to find the airbnb... you have to type Caribbean View on Maps to find it!! otherwise very nice location, right in front of the sea, good welcome and clean room with all the kitchen essentials! - Air conditioning which is a big plus in Tortuguero because it is very heavy! -balais in the bedroom to clean the sand -table to eat quietly outside recommended!

Hotel Tortuguero Beachfront is a great, peaceful place to rest and an excellent location to explore the national park. There are nice restaurants on the river bank within walking distance. The breakfast was tasty, the staff is friendly. The pool is clean and its surroundings are shady with sunbeds. The hotel has a beautiful garden. The beach is stunning, but the sea is too wild to swim in it. Our kid enjoyed playing in the sand. The air condition device’s outer part was quite loud during the night, but finally it did not bother our sleep.

Highly recommend! Pleasantly surprised we weren’t paying more. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms clean, breakfast is provided.

Andres and his mother Mayela are amazing hosts! Andres replied quickly and very friendly to messages via Airbnb. He also explained how to get to Tortuguero and made sure there was a captain waiting for us at Pavona. Mayela picked us up from the main dock at Tortuguero and shared some of the local foods with us. The location of the house is perfect! Very close to the national park, the beach, a little shop and restaurants. Also, we booked a boat tour with the silent electric motor via Andres and it was really nice! The house itself is simple (as advertised), but has everything you need! We did see some cockroaches walking around in the house, but I don't think there is anything you can do about that. It's the climate on the island. The house is really clean!

Great stay, nice place with ocean view and hammocks to spend the day relaxing. The host organized everything for us and reacted very quickly to all questions.

Heidy's place is a perfectly located, cosy spot from which to explore Tortuguero, relax and go to the beach. Less than five minutes walk to centre of town and boat drop off and pick up place, at one end of the street and beach at the other. It is also very quiet and private, we enjoyed using the patio for quiet meals or drinks. The beach is beautiful and their was a sloth one night in a coconut tree on the beach. Heidy had arranged for us to be met when we stepped off the boat and a local guide showed us to the flat. Heidy was always super responsive and helpful whenever we had a question. Please note there is no air-conditioning or hot water in the shower, but that didn't bother us, the fan kept us cool at night. I would love to come back to Tortuguero and hope to stay at Heidy's again.

This place is not for everyone, but if you don’t mind simple accommodations, the surroundings are beautiful, host is fantastic and cooks delicious meals, and it’s extremely tranquil - if that’s what you’re looking for you’ll love Rustico Tortuguero.
