Cottage vacation rentals in Torrington

We had a wonderful week. We worked from home at Martins because we had two weekend events to attend in NYC. 6 nights total. We enjoyed the hot tub everyday. The home is peaceful, quiet, safe and beautiful. Very clean! I’m picky and I usually clean when I arrive anywhere. It was spotless. Kent is a super cute town with lots of restaurants considering how small it is. We went into town everyday for lunch or dinner. Also saw a beautiful waterfall close by. Lots of great kitchen equipment, pots, pans etc. We grilled steak, cooked pasta, baked. Etc. TV is huge and the house is set up that the people upstairs don’t hear the tv on at night. Perfect! Master bedroom is huge. Both bedrooms have plenty of closets. 3 total. Huge beautiful dinning room table. Home is well decorated and inviting. Plenty of heat. It’s radiant heat so we were never cold. Even set as low as 65 it was very comfortable. Garage was a bonus! Parking our car inside during the cold was great! Easy entry.

Joktan was great! Came out in middle of a massive snowstorm to remedy the hot tub being low on water promptly and was always responsive and accommodating. Amazing host & friendly!

This place is beyond words - simply beautiful and amazing! The stay here was no less than wonderful. The lake views, the hot tub spa, the coziness of the home and the peace. Very relaxing environment and quiet. Feyza was a great host! She was very communicative from the start. This place was definitely what was needed. Will definitely come back again in the future!

We had a great stay in the Cottage - Julia was very responsive when I asked questions and innkeeper Lucas was very nice. We enjoyed the fireplace greatly, which was stacked with logs and newspaper ready to go when we arrived. It snowed while we were there, and the walkway to the Cottage was shoveled while we were out to dinner so that we could get back without tredging through snow. When I woke up in the morning they had cleaned off my car of the snow. Very thoughtful!

Plenty of space for two families to share and wonderful for kids. Location is ideal for skiing and tubing plus town has good food and shops.

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin is located in a beautiful, peaceful area and has all of the amenities one could want. Our original plan was to explore the surrounding area but we ended up spending our whole trip in the cabin because it was so lovely. Matt was a great host and very responsive. Highly recommend!

Was the perfect little get away for us. And it was nice to find a place that accommodated the dogs so well. We appreciated being able to get to places easily but at the same time have a peaceful place to return to.

We were looking for a nice weekend get-away post holidays to decompress and Kyralesa’s artist studio was just what we needed to have a luxurious experience for a few days. Kyralesa (KC) greeted us right as we pulled up and showed us around. The place is as advertised, beautiful two floor artist studio loft complete with beautiful natural lighting and wonderful views of the surrounding valley. Everything worked perfectly and we had zero issues. KC was very warm and friendly and welcoming and was super nice (even when we accidentally broke a kitchen vase - which we replaced by the way. We even got a special treat of warm pizza as a surprise one evening, which was delicious. She also gave us tons of recommendations for dining and shopping in the surrounding area which was all topped off by a stop at Hudson Brewing Company following by a nice dinner in town for the evening. If we could give more than five stars we would. We are definitely coming back to stay when we pass back that way.

Pictures don’t do justice! Craig’s place was lovely, from the amazing kitchen to the spacious living room and the outdoor patio. For a group getaway this is the perfect place. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Brian’s cottage was the perfect getaway for a snowy long weekend in the Catskills with our dog! The cottage is incredibly cozy and fully equipped for winter comfort, with a wood-burning fireplace, a stocked kitchen with all the essentials, and a super comfy bed. Brian went above and beyond, offering thoughtful touches like beers, seltzers, coffee, etc, making us feel right at home. The expansive yard was a dream for our city dog, giving him plenty of space to play in the snow. Brian was also incredibly considerate about the snowstorm, making sure the plow service was scheduled well ahead of our checkout. If you’re looking for a retreat with exceptional hospitality and truly serene surroundings, we highly recommend this place. 10/10!

Lovely cottage, lovely hosts. Kid-friendly and super clean! Felt very private, yet when I ran out of milk they happily dropped off some cream for my morning coffee 🙏 Beautiful views and an extra treat was seeing the chickens in the morning. Perfect location for skiing.

Location, location, location. So amazing to have beautiful expansive hiking trails right outside your door. There was even a map/instructions as soon as you walk in the door, to guide you to a waterfall right on the property. Rio was a fantastic host; quick and responsive over text to give helpful information on the area that really made the stay. If you’re looking for a serene escape, this is the place for you.

The red schoolhouse is a lovely storied place to stay in rural Connecticut. Although it’s roots are in the 19th century, it has been wonderfully updated to all the amenities that one might require. My stay was the winter repose and read. The red schoolhouse served me admirably. Dawn was very kind. I recommend this Airbnb unreservedly.

The cottage was absolutely everything we could have hoped for and more. Peaceful. If you are looking for a quiet, cozy, rustic retreat with all the core amenities, plus wonderful books and games... then this is your place! The wood beams are beautiful, the kitchen had the necessities, the lighting settings could be adjusted to any mood from jazz to disco, and the showers were hot with amazing water pressure. And step outside at night..the stars are incredible. Alexa, was a wonderful host. Friendly, responsive, and provided us with helpful info throughout our stay. Thank you. We would love to come back again ❤️

We loved our cozy stay here. Everything was clean and as expected. The hosts were communicative and thoughtful, plus gave great recommendations! Quiet neighborhood, cozy fireplace. Charming all around.

Wonderful wonderful stay at Tia’s cottage. Was in town to visit relatives just down the road. Her place down a quiet country road is quiet, serene, and surrounded by nature. Our favorite spot was sitting at the table, drinking coffee with the morning light splashing in. And in a several minute drive you’re in downtown Pawling with its cute shops and restaurants. Including a phenomenal, authentic Turkish restaurant (The Turk), and Vinny’s, one of the best Italian delis we have been to. Thanks so much Tia for being the consummate host.

Stephen’s property and home were truly beautifully designed and decorated. There were lots of little touches and cool artwork from his career throughout. The design took full advantage of the scenery with windows capturing mountains and farmland of the surrounding area. The architectural design of the home provided lots of natural light, privacy and ease of use and flow. It was a relaxing and special place to enjoy a game of Scrabble by the fireplace and Christmas tree with two Emmy awards on the mantle. We also loved the Rail Trail access from the property for walks or to go into town to visit Roe Jan Brewing, Twisted Sister Cafe, the Hillsdale General Store, etc.

The cottage was easy to check into, clean, and very cozy. It was decorated for the holidays which was perfect for our weekend. We enjoyed the fireplace and the games in the cabin as well! I would consider coming back in the summer to enjoy the outdoor area and lake. Ann-Marie and Carl provided really helpful instructions on how to get to the house.

I have stayed in this little house several times, and it always seems like the perfect place., not matter what the season. The yard and surroundings are lovely and the house itself is cozy and beautifully maintained. The host is always so responsive and helpful.

Wonderful space and a great lakeside location for summer activities.

A cozy home base to explore the Hudson Valley. Very clean, well stocked with amenities, and comfortable. We cooked several meals with no issues. The fireplace was a delight as it quickly warmed the cabin on cold evenings. Quality furnishings, linens, and thoughtful interior design. Dan checked in and to make sure we had everything we needed. The babbling creek and starry sky’s were a bonus!
