Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Tikitere

Such a beautiful home. We felt so at home, and the photos on the site does not do justice to her place. Will definitely come back again

My large family group comprising 3 families , 3 teenagers, 2 school kids & grandparents all stayed at this terrific, large home opposite the redwoods. The rooms are generous with a double/king plus a single bed in every room. Everyone has their own space & privacy. We loved the details- built in storage in each room made our stay comfortable. The second living room had toys & books & drawing supplies. We loved the charming, villa style of the house with modern upgrades like dishwasher & LG washer dryer. The kids enjoyed the interesting bike ramp / skate deck outside. Linen was provided & was of good quality & super comfortable. The location was perfect for the redwoods & we took a short drive to Hells Gate too. Handy shops nearby too. The gardens are immaculate with an impressive wisteria canopy over us as we dined outside for New Year’s Eve! The place is in a residential area & there are warnings about noise & moving inside by 9pm, not a problem for us & fair enough too!

The house was lovely and spacious and very homely. And we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We loved that the water was uv treated rainwater so no chemicals! It was a nice central spot to go to places like hobbtion, blue springs, tauranga and rotorua. The kids loved it there and I think we'd all be be keen to visit again sometime. It just made our holiday! Thank you so much!

Great little spot! Friendly host!

Tucked in a quiet neighborhood, this was a great place for our family - complete with toys and a trampoline! Able to make breakfast in the morning and sleep comfortably while being right in the heart of Rotorua. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful home to stay in! There was lots of space and had everything we needed to make it an enjoyable stay. Would definitely return if we come back to Tauranga.

Fantastic property in a great location. Great areas with 2 outdoor spaces and really great en-suite with master bedroom being away from the other 2 bedrooms. Really well setup kitchen and amenities. Would definitely recommend this property and we would stay again. Host responded very quickly and check in made easy.

Thank you Rae & Rod for warmly hosting us! The luxurious set up & tasteful design was extraordinary. The home-made bottled peaches in the fridge along with other condiments was so kind and thoughtful. We had to the best night sleep ever on supper comfy bed & fresh linen. We can’t wait to visit again one day. Pleasure to meet you both loved the tour of the gardens and thank-you for the peaches fresh off the tree! Another awesome stay at Brightside. This time we booked both the apartment and the pod to accommodate our small family and grandparents. This is our third time staying at this property and it was another fantastic visit. We loved being so close to the Papamoa hills, day trips to the beach and to the Mount, and afternoons feeding the animals and jumping on the trampoline. We will be back!

Glenys and Shayne were gracious and attentive hosts! They were very supportive and responsive while allowing us our privacy. The property is beautiful and well kept with all amenities as described. The view was stunning and we enjoyed the short walk to town and the variety of restaurants and bars. Memorial Park is only a few steps in the other direction, allowing us a lovely green space to sit by the water and picnic. 15 minutes drive away is Mt Maunganui with hiking and beach amenities. We easily filled our two week stay and would definitely return.

Wow what. Place to stay! Just lovely :) such a great spot only minutes from the main strip and the beach but far enough away that you don’t hear the Saturday night boy racers raving about. Lovely hosts - amazing set up with beautiful furniture, linens and utensils. It’s inspired me to upgrade my kitchen stuff! Also - softest towels I’ve ever used! Would definitely stay again. Great value as well!

The place is beautiful. Inside and out. Very quiet, gorgeous lake. Hot tub and private beaches were nice. As pictured most certainly. One thing that we did not love that we have had more recently in airbnbs we have stayed run by management companies is the corporate sort of feel, language around rules and check-out that can be a bit harsh without the warmth of what some other airbnbs may provide. The place was certainly as billed on the website and we chose it and it was gorgeous but there was little to no flexibility around any change in checkout times or even consideration of it even if noone is booked the next day. Overall a very nice beautiful space to stay just some less personal, warm aspects of how it is run.

Des’ place is awesome! The whole place feels like you’re staying in a museum of sports, every corner of the house tells a story. It is so personal and cozy, it makes you feel at home. Perfect location with second to none surroundings. Just a few minutes drive from Rotorua, perfect if you want to get away from the noise and hurry of the day to day life.

Beautifully appointed home tucked away in a scenic locale with easy access to all of Rotorua’s attractions. Quality of fittings and furnishing was top notch and we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves, even though the 3 neigbouring villas were occupied at the time we were there. Private tubs were a bonus for stargazing at night.

We had an enjoyable stay at Amy's place and she was a lovely host to us. Highly recommend! 😊

Susan and Pierre are great hosts and our stay had the old times sense of B&B , knowledgeable hosts about local sights, restaurants, events. Chez Pierre also provides wholesome tasty hot breakfasts. We did have one his wonderful dinners as well. Room was roomy and guests are not locked away into in-law suite, so the feeling is more the paid-guest style - which we miss in this Airbnb era.

Clean, comfortable, and exactly as described! The host was responsive and provided clear instructions, making our stay seamless. Highly recommend and would stay again!
