Chalet vacation rentals in Thredbo

We had a wonderful visit to Lake Crackenback. The accommodation was clean and exactly as expected.

We had a lovely stay at Crackenback Castle. Our property manager, Ari, was a delight: very attentive and responsive, and just a pleasure to deal with. Thanks for a great stay, Ari! The property is comfortable and the views are among the best to be found in Thredbo Village. Other reviewers have mentioned the stairs, which is the price you pay for the view, but we had no real issues, even with bikes. Parking is tight, but par for the course in Thredbo. Would stay again.

The place was absolutely gorgeous and just like alpine cottage we imagined clean and very comfortable fire places with chopped timber ready to warmup with comfortable underfloor heating Located in close proximity to Ski tube and snow location We have seen lots animals from the window and the kids absolutely love it Our small dog has been enjoying this place very much Our neighbours have kids to and we made some new friends Thank you guys

A great place to stay whilst mountain biking in Thredbo. The garage was a bonus as fitted our car plus bikes. Very convenient location opposite the Gunbarrel chairlift. The apartment was spotless and cosy. My only regret is we didn’t stay longer. Would definitely stay here again.

The chalet was exactly what we were looking for and more. I didn’t realize how close it was to Crackenback Farm and Wildbrumby which was perfect for lunches and dinners. It was a relief to be able to take our dogs and leave them in a safe and secure dog enclosure when we were out. We also used the horse riding onsite and got a discount for staying in the chalet. All perfect.

We loved our stay here! Such a great location, central to everything you want in a Thredo holiday. Was able to walk to chair lifts for the kids to do mountain biking, a short walk to buy the bread from the bakery in the morning and such a quiet and peaceful place. The chalet felt very spacious for our family of 5, with a separate little loft for our eldest to have a little space to himself. Beds were all comfortable and it was equipped for everything we needed. Across the road is the Leisure Centre where the kids enjoyed a swim and use of the waterslide. Plenty of beautiful hikes too in the surrounding area. Would recommend Colleen's place and would happily stay there again if we get the oppportunity. Thank you Colleen for a great stay.

Highly recommend Chris' place at Crackenback. It was a lovely setting for a family getaway and pet friendly. A couple of hundred meters from Crackenback Farm/Wild Brumby Schnapps made the location ideal, and a short drive away from Thredbo. I made a mistake in my booking (missed the dog) and Chris was very helpful to me to get this fixed so that I could enjoy the rest of the holiday and have our pet accommodated safely. Will likely return

Great accommodation in great location

We absolutely loved this house and would be thrilled to stay here again. It is so very comfortable and cosy, and the views are just delightful. We loved watching the deer and the kangaroos. Plenty of space for the whole family and everything you need (including the greatest drying room I’ve ever seen). Really fantastic place!

Had a beautiful stay here whilst my son was participating in the MTB inter-schools at Thredbo. Molly was a fabulous host from booking to departure. The property is pristine and was well equipped to accommodate our family for the week. Situated in a quiet location with easy access to the resort and recreational facilities offered at Lake Crackenback. The kids loved sitting by the fire pit and watching the deer and kangaroos graze in the early evening. Perfect! Thanks again Molly, we will be back in the near future.

This chalet was perfect for our family of four's needs during our summer holiday. So much space to spread out - the media room upstairs turning into the kids play space. The drying room, usually needed during ski season, turned out to be particularly handy after a rainy hike. Activities available at the resort were a hit with the children.

A comfortable and cosy house in a fabulous location. The attention to detail, interesting art and well equipped kitchen make it a homely and relaxing place to return to after an active day of hiking, cycling or skiing.

We had a wonderful stay at Brumby Chalet in the Lake Jindabyne Estate. The location is absolutely picturesque, offering sweeping views of the lake — a perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The chalet with clean bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms that made us feel right at home. Gordon was a very responsive and helpful host throughout our stay. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Kalkite or Jindabyne area.

Molly’s place exceeded our expectations - the house, location and furnishings were all beautiful and we really appreciated the extra touches such as proving pantry staples, coffee, board games etc. It was also fantastic to have the use of the Crackenback resort facilities - our family had a wonderful stay and we hope to return!

There were some incidentals left out for us on arrival, specific to our reason for travelling to the snowy mountains - very much appreciated! Also, the property information and communications during our stay were proactive and well received. Great stay in a great spot, would recommend.
