Tips from locals
This place is lovely but very popular in the Summer Months as it has tables outside overlooked by the splendid Abbey. It is best to plan ahead and prebook at these times. The menu is varied and well thought out and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Pub restaurant 2 mins walk from the cottage. Friendly service. Tables outside in summer.
12th Century Pub/Restaurant right next to Tintern Abbey which makes it a good pit stop for lunch, a cheeky lunchtime pint or brew after the walk up to Devils Pulpit or a visit to the Abbey. Extensive gardens, kids play area, onsite parking & Tearooms that open between March & October. Local Real Ales & Ciders, home cooked, locally sourced food.
