Beachfront vacation rentals in The Hill

Such a sublime stay at Soldier’s Point . A peaceful respite for ourselves, adult children and partners with plenty of spaces to retreat to and a view so magnificent it was difficult to leave . The most well appointed kitchen , with all you could need to cook up a feast , including essentials in the pantry . But so close ( 10 minute walk ) to the Marina with fantastic options for breakfast , lunch and dinner ( and coffee). We used the paddle boards and kayak , played on the sand and swam - with the water JUST LITERALLY OUT THE BACK DOOR . Having bedrooms and bathrooms on different levels allowed privacy for the couples, and then beautiful large tables for eating around . Being able to have our little dog made the family holiday complete . We hope this property stay available as it is worth going back to !

We loved Anna’s place. Beautifully furnished with everything we could have asked for, a fantastic coffee machine and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The view is outstanding and listening to the sound of the waves made it incredibly relaxing. Appreciated being able to take our dog with us and the secure yard meant we could relax knowing he was safe. 10/10, we will be back.

Absolutely stunning location right on the beach, perfect for kids and the water was very calm and safe The house was fabulous too, well equipped and beautifully presented The only thing I could fault was the master bedroom, which is the whole top floor, there is no door on the bathroom and no door at the top of the stairs so you can hear noise from downstairs. It’s definitely on the more expensive side, but perhaps that was due to school holidays/christmas, that said it was so good we will be returning again in the future!

Fantastic location - easy walking distance to the beach, the baths, restaurants and cafes! No need for a car with this location! We loved it!

This is the second time we have stayed in this Airbnb and it never disappoints! In walking distance of many cafes, restaurants, bars and beaches. It is the perfect location for those who do not have a car.

Our family of 4 - 2 adults 2teenage active kids, enjoyed the cottage. A lot of thought has gone into the furniture to keep it true to the period, spotless upholstery with matching cushions, glassware and cabinets all looked new but retro. I have stayed in a few places that have old furniture trying to pass as retro - but Mary’s place really made me feel as though I’d actually travelled back 50 years to when the furniture was first purchased!!! Pretty much like my grandma’s house with the hills hoist and lavender at the back door. Touches of fresh coffee, great selection of teas - quality soaps and bedding just to name a few of the things I thought were fantastic. Touches of class and modern comfort with the 60’s 70s vibe. I’m in my 50’s and absolutely loved it - great walks down the beaches, clean blue water to swim at caves beach that is patrolled. Kids went surfing heaps of banks to pick from. Would live to go back again Thanks Mary

We had an unforgettable stay at this charming holiday house in Caves Beach. The house was exactly as described, with plenty of space for our family. We loved the modern decor, comfortable furniture, and well-equipped kitchen. Great sized backyard for our dog. The house is in a prime location, just a short walk to the beach and close to local shops and cafes. Our host, Sue, was incredibly welcoming and gave us clear instructions to get into the house. We highly recommend this house for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful getaway with all the comforts of home!"

The house was very spacious and easily shared with 8 adults and 1 toddler. Beautiful location and a short drive to major centres like Nelson Bay. Highly recommend to large families or just wanting to escape for some R&R with friends. The area is very hilly so the walks in and around the location is not ideal for those with physical difficulties. Otherwise a gorgeous spot to holiday. The view is amazing.

Was such a lovely place to stay. Kirsty was so accommodating as it was quite a last minute booking. The place was lovely and the vibe was very calming and coastal. Would definitely stay again in the future if we find ourselves in the area

Great location - so close to the beach. You can tell Lara has put a lot of thought into the airbnb. There is great finishing, the pool is lovely, aircon, nice appliances and lots of light. We will definitely be back!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hanna’s place. She is a wonderful host, with helpful advice and she catered to our family in any way she could. The home itself was in an amazing location, within a short walking distance to a beautiful beach and a short drive to shops and many restaurants. We had such a great time and would definitely recommend!!

Fantastic location right on the beach with easy access to restaurants. All facilities expected in terms the apartment were great. Very much enjoyed our stay.

This was a fantastic place to stay, with too many thoughtful little touches to list. It was well-equipped, and Angela responded quickly to all questions and also came to check we were OK. The sound of the surf and the quiet street were very therapeutic: we’d recommend staying at least 2 nights to really begin to unwind. Check in via the coded lockbox was easy with instructions, and the only difficulty would be the fairly steep climb up several flight of stairs from your car to the front door. It means a view, a breeze, and quiet ambience, but if you have back or knee trouble or are a little unsteady with your balance, check out the photos first to see if you can manage them. We were fine, but some might struggle?

Loved the location. It was secluded, quiet, peaceful and being right next to the water made for an excellent fishing spot. The view across the water was awesome. The windows could have been cleaner, which would have made the view even clearer. We'd be happy to stay here again.

Good environment, suitable for travel options

Charlie & Sonya were lovely hosts! The views were amazing and were only a short stroll to the beach! Home was amazing and clean! Recommended if you are looking for a quiet getaway with private access to a beautiful beach!

karen hosted the most beautiful place for us in redhead. it was super close to all restaurants and great beaches! the place was beautiful and bed super comfy felt just at home! karen was super easy to communicate with and gave us great recommendations in a book located in the airbnb. thankyou karen we will definitely be back!
