Vacation rentals with lake access in The Bronx

Izzy and Joe’s home was an absolute gem! The house is beautifully designed, clean, and filled with thoughtful details. Everything is organized and well-labeled, making it easy to navigate and feel right at home. They also have a nice collection of books! On top of that, everything in the house is of excellent quality—far above the average Airbnb standard—which made our stay even more comfortable. Izzy and Joe were fantastic hosts—responsive, flexible, and incredibly kind. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay, like warming up the house before we arrived, offering late checkout etc. They even taped the couches to prepare for my cat. It was such a kind and considerate touch. This was truly one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone.

We would return in a heartbeat- but we would bring a humidifier, white noise machine, and sleep mask. The beds were so comfy! The bathrooms and kitchen were spotless! It was right off a very busy road, so that was a challenge. The owners were super nice and responsive- and it was so nice to be by the warm fireplace!

Went with a few friends for the weekend and the house was amazing. The entire house was very clean and in a beautiful neighborhood. The hosts did an amazing job and even left us a treat at check in. We will definitely be back!

Well....this was our 4th stay here, I think - that should speak volumes on a really terrific Airbnb to chose. This, when available on the dates, is our primary 'go-to' when we are in the area, as we know what the house is all about and the great comms we have constantly with Victoria! The photos don’t do this place justice - it’s truly a special little corner of the world and exceptionally relaxing. Everything we needed was there and Marce/Kylie were exceptionally responsive. This was one of the most relaxing getaways we’ve had in a long while; the house was perfect, and Marce / Kylie went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. We have every intention of returning again in fall ‘25.

what a beautiful place. I love all the windows. The view is so nice and peaceful. There's plenty of good trails to hike minutes from the house. Patrick was very accommodating and flexible. We will be back!

the place looked great and as described. easy to get into. we had a noise issue with an upstairs guest but the host was easy to reach and tried to address this. we would stay again.

Everything was perfect in the house; the best part was staying with our dogs. We found everything clean and the parking in the building was awesome.

Joseph place was very tidy, warm and clean. location is great as well, 45 minutes from Manhattan and plenty of parks and lake in the area.

I can’t believe it was our 5th year at Evelina’s home in Highland Lakes. Her family is extremely helpful, the home is perfect with so much space, beautiful view right on the lake, hot tub and fireplace are always in use by us and beds for the whole group. Can’t wait for next year already!

If you want a romantic long weekend with tons to do, in any season... this is the spot! The stone patio and stone water's edge is one of a kind! With its own Bald Eagle!! Tony, I borrowed a few extra logs of wood! We will definitely be back if you'll have us!

I want to start by saying that the host is beyond kind. Jack is a stand up guy and the perfect host. I do not think we could have been more fortunate to choose this house. The backyard amenities are stunning. Sitting on the dock outside was incredible. A family of swans lives close to the house and we would watch them in the mornings. The hot tub was such a nice bonus. Jack clearly takes great care to ensure that his guests feel welcomed and at home and I could not appreciate his kindness any more than I already do. I truly can not wait to come back and stay again as this weekend was really one to remember. We thank you Jack for an amazing experience and we’ll see you again real soon!

This is my second stay in the past two weeks - I highly recommend this spot. It’s private and beautiful. A quick drive to Bedford, and local restaurants are right down the road. The place is spotless, fully stocked and Fred is a great host. He’s so nice!
