Cottage vacation rentals in The Archipelago

Beautiful home. I cannot describe how pretty it looks with the natural frozen lake surroundings, you really have to see it for yourself. Everything was spotless, great location close to Walmart, Bulk Barn, Pet Store and even some Tesla superchargers if you're coming in an EV. The outdoor jacuzzi was a wonderful addition. Kitchen is fully stocked with all appliances and things you'll need (and more)! Neighbourhood is very quiet and the surrounding residences are filled with friendly folks. Only thing to make a note of is the fire pit is not accessible during the winter due to the massive amounts of snow near and on it. All in all, 10/10 would highly recommend and would love to return.

We had a great time!! It would have been nice to have a greater variety of cookware since there was only one huge pot available. Also basic condiments such as ketchup were missing from the fridge which is often provided by most hosts. However the place the super cute and clean.

Daniel gave a thorough intro message of specifics the day of on top of what was already so clearly laid out. The property was beautiful with access to so many activity options. House is clean and spacious. We spent a lot of time on the dock which had a great selection of furniture and sun/shade options. The beach is a close walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and will likely be back to enjoy the space again!

Jason was very responsive to our questions and issues with the property. He promptly came out to clear any accumulated snow fall and was nearby to help if needed. We also appreciated the proximity to town and conveniences, plus it is a beautiful location on the Muskoka River. We felt at ease in the house and had a wonderful 18 days with visiting friends and family over the Holidays.

From the home where we had room to stretch out to the peaceful surroundings -- and credit to our hosts for making sure the driveway was clear of snow -- this was our most enjoyable reunion ever. We would not hesitate to go back, and can only imagine how perfect this place would be in the summer.

Always a great stay!

Well, we loved the place. The cottage looks much better than it is in the pictures. We enjoyed inside, surrounding and fire pit. Anthony was very responsive and he let us stayed 1:30 hours extra on the checkout day which was extremely nice. Hoping to visit again in the summer 2025.

We enjoyed a quiet, relaxing stay. The setting is lovely, with a private beach, kayaks etc. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to cook a meal.

Kerry's place was fantastic! One important thing to note is that guests need to provide their own linens, pillows, towels, and toilet paper/paper towels. This information is found in the "About the Space" section, but it’s crucial for guests to know, especially since we arrived at night when it was quite cold and hadn’t brought any supplies. I recommend that this information be included in the welcome message when a guest books the property to avoid similar situations. On the day we arrived, the heater stopped working, but Kerry was quick to assist us and sent an electrician to address the issue. Fortunately, there is a chimney in the cottage, and once we lit it, the space became warm and cozy. As first-time cottage visitors, it truly felt like an adventure. The place is magical, and Kerry is an outstanding host. Thank you for everything!

Stayed for a few nights over the holidays. Jonathan was very responsive and had above and beyond instructions and details for all the airbnb and area had to offer! Very cozy at home feeling and was so accommodating to us! would definitely return for a Muskoka get away!

Great place, it's just as described. great view over the lake the general store 20 mins away was handy for the few items we forgot (such as firewood), but the hosts kindly left enough wood for a couple fires, so we didn't have to rush out. The place is cozy, six people would be cramped to share the space in the winter, but I think this was a great deal at the price they charged.

Fantastic time away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. If I hadn't left cottage, I wouldn't have seen another person for days. Definitely worth the trip and visit. Most definitely will come back up in the fall. All the best!!

We were very happy with our stay over Labour Day weekend. Lynne was a very responsive, helpful and engaged host. She offered an amazingly well stocked cottage, esp the kitchen. The cottage is spacious and bright. A few windows could be openned but there was central AC. One bedroom is a loft, accessed by a small staircase. The waterfront was very pretty, with lots of chairs, kayaks, a pontoon boat, ski doos and a great fire pit w lots of logs. There isn’t beach access at her cottage but there is a nice beach with sand for guests of the community within walking distance. The cottage is accessed through a community of RV, many w beautiful additions. There is a river winding through this community. Her property is separate and private. We appreciated how quiet it was around us and on the water.

Our family had an enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend at Carol's property. The cabin was cozy and charming, the bunkie was super cute and the deck and fire pit were amazing spots to hang out at. It's a short walk to the water and a convenience store/lcbo. Our only issue was that we didn't stay long enough!

Had the best time at Matthew’s cottage. Loved the private hiking trails, the sauna, hanging out in the screened in room at night, view right from the deck, lots of space inside. Matthew is super helpful, & responsive. Such a unique & private setting (we & the kids especially loved the little water crossing from the car to the cottage, made it feel like we couldn’t go anywhere and had to “unwind from the hustle of everyday life”, but in reality such a short distance we could go back to the car whenever needed) . We will definitely be back! Thanks for hosting our family Matthew!

We discovered the perfect secluded getaway in this beautifully maintained property. The grounds were consistently plowed during snowfall, making our winter stay worry-free. The main cottage comfortably accommodated our group of 5, featuring a fully-equipped kitchen and a thoughtful welcome kit with snacks and coffee. Two full bathrooms with provided toiletries made sharing the space easy, and the comfortable beds ensured restful nights. The clean, spacious hot tub was perfect for relaxing after outdoor activities, and the reliable wifi kept us connected. We enjoyed both the excellent heating system and the cozy wood fireplace, all while taking in beautiful waterfront views. Killbear Provincial Park, just 40 minutes away, offered excellent winter hiking. Quick tips: bring extra towels as only one is provided per person, and pack slip-on shoes for travelling between cottages. While water has a slight odour, it tastes perfectly fine. We’d love to return in the summer! Highly recommend!

This is a gem find. It was so comfortable and situated 3 minute walk from a beautiful beach. The kitchen was very well equipped the fire pit, the BBQ the outdoor sitting areas were awesome. The beds were comfortable and we slept so well. There is a huge TV with so many channels and content to watch. So easy to settle into a movie after dinner. Very comfortable sitting area. We were 3 adults and we all had space to have some downtime and also to enjoy our company. We would swim and go for 5 km beach walks and drive to very cute small towns and discover the tasty bakeries and cool stores. Everyone we met was so lovely and very relaxed. We had a wonderful time and recommend this pace to everyone. Peaceful, fully equipped, comfortable and 3 minutes from a beautiful beach! What can be better. What a wonderful stay this was! The place was clean and tidy, with an amazing and private view of the lake. Host was responsive to questions, I would definitely recommend!

This cottage is very charming and homey. Our kids loved the second floor bedrooms. The kitchen is remarkably well furnished. If you have kids then you could teach them how to use a woodstove (as noted by our youngest son). The second you walk in, you feel like you've been there for ages, and it reminds you of childhood Summers and other loved cottages.
