The rooms are well furnished, clean and have an attached bathroom. The hosts are a young couple, Pema and his wife. Lingthem Lyang Homestay

The Lingthem Lyang Homestay is blessed with picturesque views of the mighty Kanchenjunga Mountain and surrounded by paddy fields and cardamom groves, guarded by the lofty Himalaya Mountains and hills, and many beautiful cold streams gushing down as waterfalls. It showcases the fine features of traditional Lepcha architecture. It is a small and modest wooden house, beautiful and cozy. It's real treasure to stay here and experience the serenity of this place. Thanks to sachin , kachyo and Pemit for having me and to have this deep and beautiful experience. From amazing mountains around, hot water spring to authentic stay, hospitality here, organic food grown in farm around and intense moment at Gompa, everything is amazing and wonderful. Couldn't stop myself from staying for another 2 nights.

Courteous staff, clean and spacious rooms with a nice view, and a very tasty dinner on a cold winter night. Enjoyed our short stay and the host was more than happy to listen to us, which honestly is the best part!! Shoutout to host Karma and Safal, one of the staff at the bnb.

Fabulous hosts. No heaters allowed in Lachen, so rooms were freezing. A low wattage bed warmer would have done the trick. The homeowners Tenzin & Dathup are beautiful people who are extremely polite and helpful. Tenzin’s cooking is spectacular (ensure you let it be known if you’re open to the local Tibetan cuisine), and they really went above and beyond to make my mother’s birthday a special one - Tenzin even made a local cake called “Phop phop”! If you’re ever in the Lachen valley this Homestay is a no brainier. Just try and book with them directly (G Search), and not through a third party. The person managing their airbnb listing (Karma) refused to engage with a perfectly valid refund request (after a member of our party cancelled) and I’m in fact still due some money back, with little hope of ever receiving it. But all in all a fabulous stay. Thanks Tenzin & Dathup, you made Sikkim even more memorable than it already is!
