Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Tenero-Contra

We stayed at this house for the 2nd time and were delighted again. The house lives from the location, its 2 terraces and the wonderful view of the lake. There was everything we needed. We really appreciated that basic ingredients for cooking were there and the kitchen is very well equipped. The house is nicely spacious and the bedrooms are well laid out which was wonderful for 2 couples. We can highly recommend and would rent it again at any time.

We decided in our 5 week holiday to 10 different towns and cities this was our favorite. W hope this house is available next time.

Grazie Marco for an exceptional stay in Orta San Giulio! This was one of the best experiences (from Airbnb or even hotels) we’ve had. Marco was incredibly responsive and communicative, and very kind. He picked us up from Malpensa airport, and even drove us to Milano after our stay. We were travelling with our toddler and Marco very kindly coordinated with the child car seat rental provider to have the seat ready for us. The apartment is in a quiet area that is super close to the piazza. Upon arrival, Marco provided water, local beers, and local biscuits that were delicious. The apartment was incredibly clean, tidy, and nicely decorated. The kitchen was equipped with everything you might need, and the coffee was great! Details like the lovely bath products and slippers, really made our stay stand out, as well as Marco’s hospitality. We would absolutely recommend Marco’s place for your stay in Orta. We would love to come back and stay in Marco’s other property! Grazie mille!

We had a wonderful stay. Michele and his family were so friendly and helpful. We took our dog, and Michele sister as a vet was able to provide the services needed for our return trip. Michele also offered a taxi service to help us get our car from the garage and my mum to the train station. We can’t thank him enough for making our stay go well. We were able to walk down to the lake edge, the local restaurant the Blue Shell was amazing and we loved going to the little local shop also in walking distance for supplies.

It was amazing 🤩 We had a great time staying at Mary and Marcos's home. Everything is lovingly decorated and so it was not bad that it almost only rained during our stay. We turned on the fireplace and it was so cozy. In good weather, the view is simply picturesque. Thank you for this great time!

A house and garden perfect for those looking for peace in a beautiful environment. Very well equipped, this family home is however quite rustic and is particularly suitable for the beautiful season. Spacious garden, completely private with stunning views of the mountains and the hamlet of Frasco. Swimming spots away from super busy places within walking distance + departure of nice easy hikes (Sonogno 30min along the river and into the forest).

Large functional house with a beautiful garden in a very quiet environment. 5 minutes by car from the center of Porto Ceresio and about twenty by foot. Danilo is very responsive.

Large, clean, tasteful and practically furnished apartment. Kitchen design more than complete. . Both the beautiful valleys of Ticino, as well as Locarno and Ascona easily and quickly accessible by car, train or bus. Supermarket and eateries within walking distance. In short, nature and culture at your fingertips, with comfortable apartment as a home base.

The apartment was easy to find, despite being in the middle of the city very quiet, in a few minutes to the lake and to the buses. The weather is very nice, so we were on the road a lot. The apartment with the 3 bedrooms and the two bathrooms was perfect for us. The living room looked cozy with the bright furniture.

Amazing place about 20-30 minute drive from the lake. Great view from the apartment. Let me say the photos do not do this place justice, it’s a big space and lovely architecture. One of our days it rained and we enjoyed just staying in the house all day it was so pleasant. I would recommend having a car (we rented one) as it is a bit away from the main town but apart from that it’s a perfect place. Sofia is a great host too as we had a small issue with the water and she fixed it within the hour and even gave us a lovely bottle of wine to apologise! We had a great time.

An extremely friendly, helpful, chilled and emphatic hostess made our stay in the very well-equipped apartment pleasant. We loved the sensational view and the many pets ( two cuddly dachshunds and four ?cute cats ). The journey to the last 600 meters and the steps to the apartment took some getting used to. The pool is tasteful and well laid out. Due to the rather bad weather for this season, however, it was little used by us. Restaurants etc are not easily accessible on foot! There is a footpath to Gravedona, but with a full stomach, I don't think so great. But you can cook and dine there wonderfully when you have taken care of yourself in the Iperal in Dongo (best on the way there). We can definitely recommend the accommodation! Thanks Silvia!!

Stefano was a very friendly, helpful and accommodating host. The apartment is large and beautiful, super centrally located. The parking was a bit cumbersome but still practical. We were able to get into the apartment earlier and also stay longer when checking out, which was great. He has provided all the children's utensils. We'd love to come back

Large, very functional and perfectly clean accommodation. Many hikes in the immediate vicinity, lakes can be reached in 10 min by car. Decoration that gives a soul to the home. We had a great stay at Marco's.

We felt totally comfortable and can recommend the apartment! Good location well-maintained clean furnishings . Good friendly host.

Luca was really kind, he welcomed us and our dog in a really special way. She helped us with her luggage and gave us inspiration to visit. I highly recommend it!!

We had a lovely stay at Andrea’s property! His home was perfectly set up with all of the amenities you could need & was located in a lovely little Italian town providing a ‘local’ experience. You’ll definitely need a car to get to the beautiful surrounding places! Andrea and his team were so kind and great to communicate with. We would recommend this stay to any big groups looking at a trip to Lake Como. Thank you Andrea.

We absolutely loved our stay in this gorgeous apartment, we really enjoyed the private terrace and outdoor seating areas. The location is ideal for walking into the centre of the village or for taking ferries around the lake, and with a car was ideal for driving up into the hills. We particularly appreciated the more traditional decor which added to the character of the house and made our stay feel authentic. Thank you so much Roxana and family, we hope to visit again.

Amazing house and though its a bit away from Como it was well worth it!! This home is beyond words. We were so sad to leave. Thank you for such a beautiful place to stay. If anyone is debating on using this home, just do it. Be aware you do or would be best to have a car. Don’t miss eating at Tipitipicci. What a fun place and wonderful food. Also it is close to the house. Thank you Susana for the recommendation. You were all wonderful host and easy to work with. ❤️

The view of the lake is FABULOUS! The house is beautiful, cared for in every detail and very welcoming. We spent 4 beautiful days for my husband's birthday with our dog Luna. The welcome with local products was warm and much appreciated. Simon was a great host, welcoming, very helpful and made us feel at home! Tips on nearby bakeries and the delightful village of Domodossola have enriched our experience. We'll be back soon! Thanks

We loved our three night stay at Nicha’s place in Menaggio. Wonderful decor, full of colorful and interesting art and textiles and everything we needed to cook most of our meals, feel comfortable and at home. We’ve been traveling in Italy for almost 3 weeks and it was great to have such a homey space to call our own for a few days. We loved being in the old castle neighborhood and even loved the cobblestone uphill walk from town. Beauty around every corner. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The house looks good like on a picture. When we checked in , it was not cleaned up after previous guests, bus Susanne was responsive and organize quickly a cleaning lady and refund us cleaning fee . I’m satisfy with a stay. The only minus that you can’t park right in front of the house, might be uncomfortable if you carrying heavy things. I would definitely recommend this place to stay.
