Vacation rentals with a sauna in Te Waipounamu / South Island

This was a modern, clean and accessible place to stay. Great, clear communication and lovely host. Excellent having a secure carpark and easy walk to lake/cafes/shops. A relaxing and sunny afternoon spot on the balcony looking at the stunning mountains.

Rutu’s place was awesome. Big, expansive, comfortable and cool. Well appointed kitchen, everything we needed to cook a meal. Big comfortable couches. The vibe was immaculate. The beds were comfy. Loved staying here.

Very recommended! We are a family of six and all went very well in the house. We used the excellent BBQ in the terrace and enjoy the stay. We recommend it!

The place is really nice, it’s between city and mountains, very convenient to get to everywhere. The kitchen is well-equipped. The check-in process is really smooth, even we need a late check-in, they provide clear instructions.

Photos just don’t do this place justice. Kahikatea house was a standout experience throughout our travels in Aotearoa/NZ. Mat and Joris have truly gone above and beyond to make this home unique, homely and fitted with all the amenities you can think of to make your stay comfortable. There is so much careful consideration into the styling and finer details of the house. Their hospitality is unmatched and made us feel relaxed and welcome immediately. The sauna is also must-do, as is a secret trek down to a private section of the lake!

We had such a wonderful stay at this air bnb and we're overall so impressed with the location and the amenities offered for a very reasonable price. You get access to the owners pool, spa, sauna and private natural creek running through the property. The creek is the perfect chilly temperature for a cold plunge after using the sauna that overlooks the ocean, whilst still being embedded in the rain forest. You receive your own private and large beach house far from the owners incredible house further up on the hill, allowing for plenty of privacy. The owners are so lovely and welcoming and very caring towards their guests. A truly incredible experience staying here that we are very greatful for.

Brilliant stay in a very well located house in Arrowtown. We went in peak summer but this would also be a brilliant winter break, near Coronet Peak Ski area and super cute and cosy Arrowtown. Laura was a brilliant host, too. Very considerate and easy to communicate with. One of the best Airbnbs we had!

Great location and view of the fireworks on NYE

Wonderful family accomodation fully equipped with all the mod cons, lots of space, amenities (e.g. on site gym , tennis), peaceful and in a great location. Couldn’t have picked a better place to be! Kids loved it.
