we had a wonderful stay with our babyboy at Claudinas place. the apartment is amazing, very spacious and well furnished. you can sleep with the sound of waves soothing you. The breakfast was amazing and Claudina was incredible friendly. we also enjoyed the black beach and rock pools nearby, mostly we had them to ourselves. best apartment on the kapverden so far!

It was with Fabrice and his family that we spent our first days on the island of Santiago in an environment giving us great well-being and an immediate holiday feeling! The village is a 2-minute walk, there are 2 convenience stores and a restaurant. A little further away is a beautiful black sand beach. On the other side, half an hour walk along the coastline, natural pools filled with the ocean invite you to swim there. Attention: approaching it becomes dangerous when the sea is agitated and the waves submerge them - but what a spectacle! It was easy for us to get to Tarrafal by aluguer from Ribeira de Prata to enjoy the market and a beach with fewer waves. Last but not least: we shared very nice moments with Fabrice and his family - thank you again!

I’ve been on Airbnb for 9 years now and Gilson is the nicest host I’ve ever encountered. First of all he was very flexible when our ferry was delayed twice, and therefore our arrival time changed (twice). The apartment is beautiful and exactly like in the pictures. The terrace is amazing and the bed is way better than all the beds we’ve slept on in Cabo Verde 😁. Unfortunately my partner got very sick the night we arrived in Tarafal, and Gilson was so kind to help us. He brought us to the hospital on a Sunday (his free day!) and translated everything for us. After that he kept on checking in on us and let us even stay a few hours longer than the checkout time. My partner and I were also very impressed by the work he does for his community in Tarrafal. He is the nicest person we’ve met in Cabo Verde and such a good host. We could not recommend this place (and host!) more. Thank you for everything Gilson.
