Great place to stay, with large, comfortable beds. Pet-friendly, with fully fenced section. Garden is beautiful and house is situated right next to Te Henui walkway to the sea. Local Orangery restaurant at the nearby Plymouth has delicious food. Kitchen, bathrooms, and linen are very clean - but the house is tired. We still loved it :)

Willie and Tanya's place was convenient, beautiful, relaxing and in the perfect spot for a scenic outlook. Our last minute booking was confirmed immediately and everything was exactly as in the description. Tanya went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Very lovely family with loveable pets around from the little dog to the ponies. We loved every minute of it.

Fantastic place for a family stay with our adult children. Close walk to the park and perfect location for exploring the New Plymouth area. The property was immaculate and well presented. For a cat loving family the fur babies were extremely friendly and chatty 😻 We all enjoyed our stay and wanted for nothing more from the accommodation and hosts. Thanks for a great long weekend stay.

Home away from home only better! Beautiful surroundings, gardens, incredible collection of house plants, art, vintage decor, thoughtful touches, seriously we felt like we were with family of our own here. Right next to the beach, entire home to ourselves, yes, you can hear once in awhile that someone is above you, but rarely and it actually felt comforting to know if you needed anything, Lisa is right there to help. Lisa is the most organized Superhost we’ve encountered, her guest book is filled with wonderful instructions and recommendations. Don’t miss eating at Black Sand Pizza a short walk away with top notch bistro food and a view of the beach that mesmerizes you. A short drive into New Plymouth that is filled with so much to do we have to come back again. Mt. Taranaki plays peekaboo with the clouds, but we managed to get a stunning view one day out of four. Even if you just stayed in Ōakura for the beach it’s well worth it! Highly recommend to couples, friends, and families.

Amazing views!! The house is very well kept, very clean and lots of extra towels and blankets are supplied! Even coffee pods and chocolates!! In fact, the description does not do justice at all. It has a master en suite with a large walk-in, rain-forest shower and amazing views! None of this was described - thankfully, the reviews were great and so we decided to book! Just a great place and feels like home! Don't hesitate, go ahead and book it!

It was a pleasure staying here. We loved the 2-person spa. Good shower, comfy bed, very light. Full-sized fridge and oven. Easy pretty walk to the beach which was full of pumice stones!

This place is so much more than it's description or photos, it's a real feeling of being welcomed and cared for. My husband and I joked that we were at 'nans place' because the whole house truly feels like a peaceful and loving family home, like you were visiting your Nan as a kid again and had the feeling of fussed over. Next time we're in the Naki we will definitely try to book again 😊

a gorgeous retreat with magnificent views of Taranaki Maunga. thoroughly enjoyed our time here, private and rural but still super close to town, highly recommend!
