Cottage in Highland Council
5 out of 5 average rating, 7 reviewsOsprey Luxury Lodge With Hot Tub
Osprey Lodge was an amazing place to stay, we had a phenomenal time and Eimear and Mackie were great hosts. Everything from the location instructions to little touches like local recommendations and the lodge's amenities really made it feel like home. The view from the lodge is just stunning too, we enjoyed many breakfasts and lunches from the back deck. We highly recommend and would definitely love to visit again.

Cottage in Balblair
4.95 out of 5 average rating, 65 reviewsWest Lodge, Balblair Estate, Highland
This is a fantastic property. The wood fired hot tub and log burner were ace, and great ways to beat the winter cold. The kitchen/bathroom was clean and contemporary. The bedrooms were cosy. Communication with the host was top notch, Matthew even helped me find a missing Amazon parcel. The place was easy to find, and had detailed literature on the local amenities as well as how to use the facilities. Would definitely stay again.

Cottage in Burghead

A cute little place to stay in Burghead! Just across the street from the co op and not far from the waterfront. My partner and I loved the cozy atmosphere and the cute touches like the repurposed whisky barrel wood around the place.

5 out of 5 average rating, 9 reviewsDrumdry Cottage, on NC500 with bike storage!
What an absolute dream of a place to stay. Recently fully renovated and it is simply stunning. Minutes from the center of Wick and just off the NC 500, Drumdry was an ideal base for exploring the far northeastern corner of Scotland. The cottage was situated among beautiful farm fields and our son loved saying hi every morning to the sheep outside. And I can’t say enough how wonderful the owner is. She not only was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived, she also thoughtfully brought us a bunch of toys for our son to play with and feel more at home. I literally don’t think you could ask for a better host. Indeed our whole experience at Drumdry was so lovely it has reset the bar for what a 5 star stay is. I couldn’t recommend a stay here highly enough!
Cottage in Elphin
4.95 out of 5 average rating, 19 reviewsNC500 Cosy Cottage in the Highlands
Had a warm and cosy stay at the cottage, which was lovely and clean, and in a stunning area. Plenty of parking space. Plenty of wood given to last the week. Neighbours friendly. We were worried about the road being so close once we got there, but with the cottage being low in the hillside, the sound of the road traffic went over the roof, so it was nice and peaceful. A really lovely village and highly recommend the tearoom at Elphin for food and drinks. We even got to see the northern lights and lots of shooting stars! A great stay!

Our stay was superbly peaceful. The help from Liz, the Host, when our dogs needed some help, when we were out, was remarkably kind and thoughtful. That was "above and beyond" - totally outstanding, for which we were very grateful for. When we arrived, it was as though we had come home. The place was clean and fresh and made us feel very relaxed too. This hide-away was worth every penny and so peaceful and restful too, that we want to keep coming back. Both us and our two Jack Russell dogs settled easily. Thank you Liz for being able to stay. Magnificent!!
Cottage in Embo
5 out of 5 average rating, 59 reviewsCoulview Cottage
This is a gorgeous cottage with so many good points - outside space is stunning and there is a lovely walk down to the beach. The cottage is well resourced and relaxing. Everything you need to prepare food is easy to locate and its very clean and tidy. I found the cottage fresh and modern and it felt like a home. The bathroom was lush and the wee corner ensuite toilet and basin were cute and handy for my mum. Loved it all.

4.86 out of 5 average rating, 7 reviewsOtago Cottage, Brora
We had a lovely week in Otago Cottage after a very last minute booking. Catherine was extremely helpful and prompt when I wasn't sure if our payment had cleared. We know Brora well so we already knew where the cottage is situated but the directions given would have made it very clear for anyone else. The cottage is beautifully presented throughout (I particularly had kitchen envy!) and contains everything one would need. The only things that would be a benefit are a washing line in the garden (it was too windy to stand the airer outside) and new windows on the front, as the A9 is such a busy road. These are minor issues and certainly didn't detract from our holiday. We would definitely stay here again when visiting relatives in the area.
Cottage in Highland

Lovely homely cottage. We stayed 2 nights while travelling on the NC500 in our camper for 5 weeks so needed some home comforts. We booked last minute and it was a great find. Ideal location, the little town had all we needed. A Tesco behind the cottage and plenty of cafes and places to eat. We had haddock and chips from Delicasea, they were the best fish & chips we’ve had in a long time. We dropped laundry off at the local laundry near Tesco & collected 3 hours later. Very quiet area with off road parking for our camper. The cottage is very pretty and we saw lots of people walking past stopping to look at it and take photos which was lovely. Nice secure garden for our cocker spaniel. We were initially a little concerned how many pound coins we’d get through on the electric meter but in the two nights there with heating on full & 2 wash loads done we only used about £6 and that was already on the meter when we arrived so very pleased in all. Thanks so much Angela

We had a wonderful time in Nigel’s cottage. It was super cozy and comfortable. Perfect for exploring the area. We felt at home. The surroundings are very peaceful and stunning. Nigel’s niece was very responsive and let us check in a little earlier. The cottage was spotless. Would come again/recommend wholeheartedly.

Amazing stay, cottage was in a beautiful location and was well furnished and clean. Lovely kitchen with enough pots pans and utensils to cook anything you need. Made great use of the fire which made the cottage very cosy. On a clear night, you get stunning views of the stars. Kathleen was also very friendly and approachable - wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else next time I come to Hoy!

Cottage in Dornoch
4.74 out of 5 average rating, 58 reviewsCosy stone barn in country setting
The cottage was easy to find and had everything we needed for our stay, although not far from the A9, it was very peaceful and all of the locals were friendly and helpful. The bed was really comfy and was firm enough for me with a bad back. The log burner was a bonus and we enjoyed seeing the birds using the hanging feeders. We cooked our own food in the evenings and the kitchen facilities were excellent with everything we needed, we liked the vintage crockery. It was very convenient for exploring the east and visiting friends at Ardgay. Great property in a great location will be staying again.

4.92 out of 5 average rating, 39 reviewsHoneysuckle Cottage idyllic retreat close to NC500
Family of 4 with 2 teenage girls. Staying for a week. We loved our stay at Honeysuckle Cottage. The house was immaculate and homely. Private away from other houses. The oven was great, plenty of cupboard space and big fridge freezer. Really comfortable beds. The girls appreciated having a bed each. Strathnaver is a beautiful place. Not much traffic on the road. You can walk down to the river Naver, opposite the house just to the right. Just south of Bettyhill, I would recommend going to the Store Bistro and Bar, in Bettyhill, they do great breakfasts and evening meals. It is a good base to go either east or west on the NC500. Jess was a great host, answering all our questions. I would recommend as a great place to stay.

Cottage in Strathy

Fantastic house, with the most amazing views and garden. The photos don’t do the house justice in fact! Lovely welcome hamper and so many extra touches to make our stay more perfect. We, and the dogs felt right at home from walking in the door. The only disappointment was that a week wasn’t enough! We hope to be allowed back to enjoy this beautiful part of the world again
Cottage in Kinlochbervie
4.88 out of 5 average rating, 95 reviewsMackenzie Cottage in Oldshoremore
The cottage is fabulous, tastefully renovated and wonderfully equipped. The underfloor heating meant we were toasty all the time and we had the option of the wood burning stove in the living room to add extra warmth in the evening as well as a gorgeous highland ambience. The bed was very comfortable and lovely views from the windows. Andy & Angela are fabulous hosts who obviously care deeply about the quality of their guests’ stay with them. We were unlucky enough to have a car issue whilst in the area and Andy & Angela went above-and-beyond to assist us in getting it resolved quickly and with minimum drama - we are eternally grateful to them for being so kind and helpful. We love the area and the scenery - the next time we’re back we will only stay here 😀😀😀
