An absolute gem! If you like watching whales through the window while making coffee or looking into the gorgeous fjord while soaking in the outdoor hot tub, then you should definitely stay at Leslie’s and Greg’s guest house. They are great hosts. We will greatly remember our stay there and hope to come back soon!

Nice experience. Tent is quite big, has a heater so we didn't feel any cold even though it was below 0 that night. Host was super nice, informed us that the aurora should be seen that night and that the the hot spring, located 5 minutes from the campsite, should be the best spot to see it. We drove there and seen our first ever northern lights. Thank you!

Loved our stay, very comfortable, clean and spacious place. Very peaceful, beautiful and quiet surroundings. We thought there would be wifi, there was not which was overall fine. Highly recommend, great base to explore and all went smoothly.

A beautiful apartment with wonderful views of the water. Spotless and very comfortable. Focus on the environment. Lots of interesting books about Iceland. Close to amazing sites like the Latrabjarg Cliffs and Rauoasandur Beach. We had a lovely time.

This was our second time staying here - out of more than 60 places we have stayed in Iceland this is the only one we have returned to, it is so special. The weather for our 2 night stay was not going to be good so Guðrún very generously offered us another property with more amenities but we decided to stay at Brekka. Even during the wind & rain the place was still warm thanks to the wood burner and we cooked a full meal on the stove and enjoyed relaxing completely by candlelight. We made one journey out to the local pool (also recommended, everyone is very welcoming and chatty, even by Icelandic hot tub standards!) but otherwise enjoyed a chance to de-stress and have a break from our road trip. Already looking forward to another stay in 2 years - roll on 2026!

María’s place was gorgeous, great place to get away and see the beautiful west fjords! It is very quiet and clean, maría was so kind with every aspect of check in and check out. Response time was very quick! Would definitely reccomend!

We had a wonderful time staying here. Not sure what the surrounding area is like - we arrived late and left early - but the unit is exactly as described, and easy to get into. Breakfast was great as well, and there is lots of parking. Good view of the northern lights!

We loved staying here! The location is spectacular—you couldn’t ask for a better introduction to the West Fjords’ beauty and isolation. Rognvaldur was very helpful, alerting us to the possibility of seeing the Northern Lights. And the tiny local swimming pool across the road is the best way to experience the hot springs the way Icelanders do. There’s no great luxury here, but it was all perfect. One warning: if you’re arriving on the ferry, best to bring food with you. Patreksfjordur is about 40 km away and the store there is quite limited.

We stayed with our 2 children in this beautiful cottage with a rich history. Beautiful view over the bay and wonderful tranquility.

Freyja and Marino's apartment was truly a wedding favor, new and thoughtful in every detail, beautifully positioned on the edge of the fjord. Freyja also gave us great directions to visit Pollurinn's public and grateful geothermal baths just a few minutes' drive from the accommodation, for an authentic Icelandic experience and her husband helped us with the car's rubber hole, putting us in touch with her mechanic who solved the problem on Sunday. Small apartment for four people, but still ok for one night. It's perfect for two!
