Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Talbot County

Leaving 5 stars because the place overall was great! There were only 2 drawbacks. The first is that the bathroom setup was a bit odd. There’s one bathroom downstairs, with one door to a bedroom and another door to the kitchen, good enough. But upstairs, there’s 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom which is smack in between two of those bedrooms with doors to each of them *but no door to the hallway*. This means that if you’re sleeping in the 3rd bedroom upstairs, the largest one, you either have to walk through someone’s bedroom upstairs to get to the bathroom or walk all the way downstairs to get to the bathroom. Again, a bit odd, but not a huge deal. Second thing is that some lights/fans didn’t work, one of the bedrooms the light switch didn’t work at all for the ceiling fan light, and there was no string to pull for it either. This was okay though because we really only used the bedrooms at night to sleep and there was a lamp that worked. So overall we enjoyed the place and would recommend!

We had an enjoyable stay at this property, which offered plenty of space and comfort for our group. Each person having their own bathroom was a fantastic feature, and the house itself had a lot of unique and well-designed spaces. The view of the water was nice, but it’s worth noting that the property is not directly on the water—it’s located behind other waterfront properties. When booking, I initially thought it was on the water, and knowing this beforehand might have influenced my decision given the price. There were a few minor inconveniences: the large ball-shaped bar felt unnecessary and somewhat in the way, and the coffee table on wheels often got in the way as people accidentally kicked the metal sides. Labeling the light switches could also be a helpful improvement, though we managed to figure them out quickly. As many have said, the location is far more beautiful than any picture can convey! Check-in and check-out were very easy, and the added bonus was that there aren't 10 million things to do before you depart! We want to visit every season! 10/10

We will definitely stay here again if the event we attended this year continues next year. Lots of volunteers in our group and Nikki was able to accommodate all of our special requests making it easier for us to do our work. She will take good care of you and the home is beautiful. Enjoyed those rockers on the porch in our down time.

The home and host are outstanding - both exceeded our expectations to make for a special trip. The home is beautiful, and the attention to detail was remarkable - decorations, snacks, toys for kids. Highly recommend.

We came to the area for a wedding and had 8 adults and 2 children. There was plenty of room and everything was very clean and welcoming. There was a large table for all of us to fit at and eat together and we especially enjoyed our time in the hot tub. Janean was very quick to respond and gave us great recommendations for dinner. The area was beautiful and we would definitely love to come back some time in the future and stay at the Wildbluesea Retreat!

We had an amazing time at this location! We were there for a wedding and my parents joined us so that they could watch our 4 month old. The airbnb was spacious and extremely comfortable for all of us to stay. We were here for St Michael's Christmas Parade weekend and the airbnb was located so conveniently to the down town area, close to the restaurants and shops. We had a blast and most certainly would come back to stay again.

Larry was a fantastic host. He was flexible with our check-in given that we arrived several hours later than planned due to traffic. He went through the entire apartment with us and offered great recommendations for dinner. Larry was responsive to all requests/questions—a definite return location.

Paul was the most responsive Airbnb host we've had! He did everything in his power to accommodate us (even when we booked last minute!) place is great with two pack a plays provided for our young children! We loved our stay- thanks Paul!

We had a great time enjoying the morning mist of the orchard and the magical sunset of the lake. Great place for a getaway!

There were a lot of thoughtful touches- the bathroom had everything I could have needed. The kitchen was fully stocked and everything I wanted for my morning coffee was all set. The apartment was comfortable and complete. The neighborhood is nice and quaint- I love the cottages and historic buildings of Oxford. Thank you for giving me extra time on Sunday before my performance.

My husband and I took a weekend getaway trip and the Lucky Duck was a perfect house to visit. Jill was great communicating about the check in and out process and amenities. The house was beautiful, clean and in the perfect location for shops, restaurants and views of the water. We had a lovely time and it was the perfect place to relax and recharge.
