Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Swellendam

Malgas is a hidden gem for outdoor lovers, boating, fishing, or anyone seeking peace away from the city. The gravel road to get there requires a car with good height clearance. The house is pristine & welcoming, with thoughtful touches like frames with Wi-Fi info and emergency numbers. One of our friends had to work, and there were no connectivity issues. The Lapa area by the private jetty is the perfect setting for relaxing, reading and having sundowners. Evenings were spent around the fire pit, and the two UV lamps kept mosquitos at bay showing attention to detail by the host. The fence and gate are ideal for keeping kids or pets safe from the water. We met a friendly neighbor who shared fishing tips and local history. Angelique was an amazing host and was on point with her communication. We will definitely return!

Beautiful place on a pretty working farm. The accommodation is private, modern and has all the necessary facilities. Loved the extra small touches. There’s so much to do on the property itself. We would go back!

To be honest, we chose Heleen's accommodation because it fitted in with our round trip from De Hoop and we wanted to try something unusual. So without electricity and WLAN, and without light pollution for stargazing. The HotPot prepared by Heleen was the icing on the cake, perfect

If you are looking to get away from it all, have total silence except the wind and sound of birds and just unwind them this is the place. The house is rustic and has so many interesting bits and pieces, rich in history. The wifi works and the beds are super comfy. Splash pool was a blessing but the piece and tranquiliy, the amazing views, sunrises and sunsets. A beautiful place to find your soul. A truly wonderful experience.

We loved staying at Ou Skool! The most spectacular views, the photos don’t do the magnificent views justice. Beautiful home, well equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed hiking in the area and the splash pool was perfect to cool off. We’ll definitely be back!

I was very happy with my stay at The Old School. I found it very peaceful, surrounded by a beautiful wildness on the edge of a Nature Reserve. The village of McGregor provided good food and service. It was lovely meeting Amelia and I found her very easy to talk to.

This Airbnb stay with CJ and Anna in Robertson has been my absolute best experience by far! From the seamless booking process to a smooth check-in, every step was perfectly organized. The accommodation itself was pristine, boasting hotel-quality furniture, bedding, and decor. As a bonus, they offered cleaning services, which added an extra layer of convenience. Working remotely, I deeply appreciated the quiet environment, speedy internet, and the comforting air conditioning. CJ and Anna's hospitality was exceptional. On my first night, tired of road food, I was delightfully surprised with a home-cooked meal, making me feel instantly at home. Their kindness didn't stop there. When I faced a transportation issue with no one to call, CJ and Anna went out of their way to assist me—truly going above and beyond for their guest. I'm already planning my return trip to Robertson, and there's no question about where I'll be staying. A heartfelt thank you to CJ and Anna!

We loved our stay. the setting is amazing and the accomodation was spot on. Really enjoyed having two areas to relax outside - one close to the fire pit and one at the front of the cottage. All the essentials you need are there and the views are beautiful.

Really awesome overnight accommodation! We loved the spacious layout of the room, the comfortable bed and all the thoughtful attention to details which enhanced our stay. Relaxing in the cut out bath chairs around the fire pit area that evening gazing at the stars and enjoying the view over the orchards with the mountains all around and then watching the glorious sunrise in the morning, makes this short stay memorable! The Host meet us and helped carrying the bags to the house. It was nice and clean and a great location to just relax and have a good sleep before continuing our drive to Cape Town.

The tiny house was a delightful stay. It was clean, beautifully furnished, and located in a fantastic spot, making it perfect for exploring the area. The only thing missing for us was Wi-Fi.

The hostess was very nice

Had a lovely stay in the cottage. You are really out in the middle of nowhere, it is quite peaceful and quiet. Beautiful views around and the stars at night were spectacular. The included game drive was great! We saw giraffes, springbok, wildebeast and some antelope on the drive. We also saw zebras while driving on our way out. The bathtub was massive. Nice towels and robes as well. We used the pizza oven and braai and enjoyed the semi catered package. Note - there were a fair amount of flies in and around the cottage and they were quite annoying but bugs were expected with the remote location. I recommend taking a SUV vs a car when driving there.

The White House was a perfect weekend getaway from the city and exactly the technology and cell phone detox needed! Totally accessible by normal car as clearly stated by the host - the property is beautiful to walk around and well marked. The house itself had everything needed to cook, clean, braai, relax and everything in between. The hot tub was amazing to sit and relax in and watch the stars go by at night! Reminder to bring bug spray though! Was amazing to wake up in the morning with the blinds up and see the landscape. Will definitely be back!

A beautiful, off the beaten track stay and very flexible check in and out which made for a relaxing stay.

Great stay , amazing place in nature. Loved the fact that we could be “noisy” and ourselves. We even had the pleasure of seeing a bokkie/kid eating berries infront of the house! Would be even more amazing if they add a hot tub. All in all it was so worth the drive from CPT
