Julian’s Airbnb is situated on the edge of town with a beautiful lake view. We enjoyed spending our mornings on the patio. Although there are a few steep steps to get up to the Airbnb, it is totally worth it! Thank you for a wonderful stay Julian!

Fernando's place was a marvel from start to finish. We were kindly greeted by Fernando and his pups, Bruno and Lina, who led us through coffee and avocado fields to their beautiful home. The house itself is gorgeous, sunny, open, and very homely, you will not run out of things to keep you occupied, from the hammocks by the lake to Fernando's friendly conversation. In the evenings were the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. There is always someone friendly around to help out, whether it's another guest, Francisco the housekeeper, or Fernando himself. Beautiful home and beautiful people. Would 100% recommend and I hope to be back soon.

I have never stayed on this side of the lake, but I have always wanted to. This place is a jewel of a property. I had an incredible visit. Service and communication is top-notch and it is quiet. I have been coming to Guatemala for 15 years and feel that I am an authority on these matters. Their dogs are very well behaved and quiet. the neighbors have no dogs or roosters and no early morning boats to wake you up. Being way off the road there are no motos, chicken buses or Tuk Tuks either. In the day, there can be some jet skiing or other private boats and helicopters, but they pass by fast enough. I believe their plan is to eventually have a restaurant, but it is worth noting that you will need to carry your food in on a 15 minute walk so come prepared for that. Very limited dining options in town. Water crystal clear and great for swimming. I’d give 6 stars out of 5 if that was an option. Will be returning. Easily the quietest and most peaceful place on the lake I have stayed.

Excellent location, comfortable room, responsive and proactive host

I recently stayed at a Marichaj Lakefront Chalet on Lake Atitlán, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The property offered breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding volcanoes, making it the perfect retreat for relaxation and connection with nature. The outdoor spaces were the highlight for me—whether it was enjoying a cup of coffee on the terrace, lounging on the hammocks in the garden, or floating in the kayak on the clear waters of Lake Atitlan, every moment felt magical. We arrived at night which made the location a little challenging to get to, but not a problem to find in the day time. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by natural beauty. I will definitely be back for a longer stay!

This place is a great, no frills accommodation right on Lake Atitlán with a gorgeous garden. They have a great restaurant on site too. We spent a few hours drinking micheladas on the terrace. Highly recommended.

This was a lovely tiny home, right on the water. San Juan is a short walk away, so we could easily pick up groceries and cook in the house. As the stay is relatively new to market, there were some items missing from the kitchen but Liza came by and dropped these off as soon as we messaged her. San Juan is a gorgeous, colourful town that we loved to explore. There is a speaker, but I would suggest downloading the Alexa Amazon app prior to arriving as wifi is not yet set-up on the property. Overall a very special stay and we would love to stay again!

Great place! A little bit away from the town-so getting a tuk tuk can be a little challenging but not too hard. Place was clean and unique! Luis was great at communicating!!

Amazing place, the listing photos are beautiful but in person it exceeded expectations. The house is very spacious, with many environments so that, although there are many people, everyone can have their space. It has everything you need. The beautiful garden as well as the exit to the lake. Very close to Santiago that also the main street very nice. Don Eduardo is very friendly. He supported us a lot. We will surely return, thank you very much for everything.

Picturesque, cozy, and charming — everything we expected and more! A bit of a journey to get there but well worth the privacy!
