This modern, luxurious cottage is truly special. It is located in the Tawnawully mountains by Lough Eske. It is set on 12 acres with a river running through it and a tumbling waterfall right by the cottage. Only 15 minutes drive to Donegal town, which has some really nice restaurants and bars. There is a castle to explore in the town and a wonderful craft village with a very good cafe. Ten minutes drive to Harveys Point and twelve minutes from Lough Eske castle, both reputable 5 * hotels.

Mary Carpenters Cottage was a magical place to stay. Warm, clean, peaceful countryside location, excellent local pubs & groceries. The host met us in person to explain how everything worked in this unique property & even provided plenty of snacks to welcome us. Even though the cottage was 200+ years old it had all the necessities for a homely stay including watching Netflix in the evening. Highly recommended!

We decided to book The Cottage for a quick Easter getaway with the kids and our dog Leo. We were not disappointed. The Cottage was spotlessly clean, spacious but cosy. The enclosed garden kept our pup safe and secure. The beds were very comfortable and after some lovely beach walks, which are only 5 minute drive away, we all fell asleep no problem. In a quiet rural setting but within walking distance to the train station, it was the perfect location for some much needed family time. A home away from home, we will definitely visit again sometime. Thanks to a wonderful host, the welcome pack and Easter Eggs for the kids were a lovely welcoming gesture. If you are considering staying here, just book it you won't be disappointed!

Dorothy’s place was in a great location for us visiting family for a reunion in Enniskillin. Dorothy was flexible with our arrival and communication was friendly and clear. She welcomed us and provided a few details and to tell us she was next door if we needed anything. We never needed a thing and didn’t see her again until checkout but I left comfortable knowing she was close by. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 (parents and 3 kids ages 23, 20 and 18) to have space. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms and kitchen clean and had everything we needed. The outdoor space is beautiful with all the flowers and 2 picnic tables and chairs. We were lucky to get some beautiful weather during our stay to enjoy the lovely views from the house. Dorothy provided many pamphlets of local activities — we hiked the Stairway to Heaven (beautiful but it lives up to its name with a lot of stairs) and some played a round of golf at the Faldo course at Lough Erne. Overall a beautiful few days.

Mary’s house is simply magnificent, with elegant charm and homeliness throughout. It is a very beautiful designed and exceptionally well presented charm. Set in stunning and breathtaking surroundings this house is such a gem to stay in. We were so very lucky to get to stay there. Mary was such a wonderful hostess and left us some yummy food and even some traditional Irish bread. We can’t wait to return.

We had a fantastic stay with our baby, the place was very clean and well laid out. Location was great, central to Portrush and Portstewart. The house had a lovely outdoor space although with the weather and a baby we didn’t get much chance to use it. Brian had a lovely welcome hamper waiting for us on arrival and was very friendly.

This was a great place to stay. Everything we needed and the host, Kate, was very friendly and accommodating. The house was spotless clean and so close to the beach. The kids loved the lambs in the field behind the house. Would definitely recommend if looking for a quiet, peaceful stay.

What a beautiful home in idyllic setting of Downings peninsula. Felt right at home from the second I arrived with beautiful open fire ideal for winter evenings, very relaxed setting and beautiful surroundings but still close enough to all the local amenities like golf at Rosapenna, local restaurants in Downings & Carrigart, The Boardwalk and amazing beach at Tra Mor & Murder Hole Cove. Tara was an excellent host, was responsive to all pre visit enquiries and was. flexible around my travel arrangement’s. Look forward to many more visits in the future.

Downings is one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland, and Daisy cottage is the perfect base to explore it. The cottage is so cosy. There's a kitchen/sitting room where all the family can be together in front of the fire, there's also an extra sitting room if someone wants some peace and quiet! The beds were so comfortable, bathrooms clean and the kitchen had everything you would need for a family. The outside area makes it, there's a gorgeous private garden where kids or dogs are really safe. There are lots of little sun traps with seating areas for a morning coffee or evening bbq. We enjoyed Daisy cottage so much and can't wait to go back!
